I play on a 28inch monitor when I go. They just needed to stop people from bringing their TVs as monitors. I have never seen it enforced outside of a monitor over 30 inches. It got a little outta hand at a couple events.

Sweet! I'll actually be able to come to this most likely. Please do post more information as its available. I'd be interested in knowing what part of the entrance payment goes towards the actual prize, and how late one can still sign up via the $20 prepay.

100% of the tournament entry fee goes into the prize pot for the tourny. Sponsorship money/prizes are generally thrown in as well, but that won't be known until closer to the event

I'll be on Friday as well! I'm over in Lee's Summit would be fun to have a LAN. I tried logging on to Extremelankc but tournament registration was "private" or something.... Fix?

Also, I'll be attending KU starting in the fall, would like to get a CSL team started. I did it during my undergrad and had a great time, I was one of the managers of a small team (small school) but we were always fighting for top 3 with big name schools. We also went to the tourney hosted by University of Indiana and made top 16. Overall, it was a lot of fun and with a big school like KU bound to get a good group... I'm rambling...

Were you able to logon to the site ok? It seems that there might be a significant problem with the website as you're not the first to have problems signing up. I'll be sure to talk to the guy that runs the LAN/site about the issue.

A CSL team would be pretty sweet. I'm sure there's at least a few good SC2 players at KU.

Due to poor registration, Midwest LanWar Summer 2011 has been cancelled. This is the first time in 7 years that the event had to be cancelled. There will be a LAN in Tonganoxie on August 20th from 9am to 3am on Sunday. This LAN will be following the structure of the regular monthly LANs which is usually about 15 or so people just hanging out and playing video games. PM me if you're interested.

If there were significant issues with the registration on the web site wouldn't it be hard to register for the LAN? All please leave the channel KC open so once you sign in you will automatically be placed in the channel

Anyone know of a place we might be able to get a last second MLG watch party at? Or even a place/bar that would host a watch party for the next MLG event after Anaheim?
