What we can see from the video so far:

* No more traders, you get trade routes. Sort of like a quasi-Supply System from Hearts of Iron 3, most likely including a form of blockading, port raiding, pirating, and the likes. Also there is overland trade with caravans and shit.
* Landscape changes with the seasons
* Using a similar but clearly improved 3D engine to the likes of CK2

Oh, and new sprites!

Why did they take a compare shot with all of their pixels but decide to have it facing away from you when they show the good one.

Good... I bought EU3 late with a ton of expansions, but obviously they just keep pumping out expansions, pissing me off. Will be good with a 4th expansionless game... until they drop 50 expansions for it too.

They officially stopped making expansions for EU3 at In Nomine years ago. But the community DEMANDED more, so Paradox delivered.

That's why EU3 Complete only goes up to In Nomine.

EU3 is one of my top 10 most played games with at least 500 hours invested in it.

Glad to hear that they will try to keep it a little more historical this time.
Just hope there will be a little more micromanagement of your empire this time.

"Crusader Kings II meets Europa Universalis III" is going to be awesome. Paradox Interactive keeps delivering; it is quickly becoming my favourite development studio. Who needs to sleep anyway?

Paradox has long been both my favorite developer and producer. Fuck I find myself loving everything that they touch.

Maybe this is part of the reason why they axed magna mundi? Or maybe they started this when they saw mm going to hell? Anyways I am really looking forward to the improved multiplayer functions ("Support for stand-alone server!") And to the improved AI that they have in CK2. (In both intelligence and in resource drain on computer, eu3's ai is coded in a way so that it demands a lot)
A game where the first thing you do is scout with a “worker”. Does that make any sense? Who scouts with a “worker”? That’s like sending out the janitor to perform recon, what general would do that? Retarded game.

They axed Magna Mundi because it was making no significant progress and wasn't passing any of their testing phases at all.

Hopefully this new leader system will stop me from winning the game by 1450 though

I'm super pumped about the new trade system too.
