(Yeah, this also deserves it's own thread. Go take a hike and choke on Norwegian shishkebabs if you think otherwise.)

Air out your opinions here. We'll all know the answer soon enough.

For my part, I find the NY Jets angle intriguing. Makes a lot of sense. Think about it. A coach who doesn't mind a bit of a circus (in fact, he revels in it at times. Yes, yes he promised to behave this year but this is Rex Ryan, who are we kidding). A team with a bit of swagger in their genes (yes, yes they lost some of that last year, but winning can change that in a New York minute). A team built around defensive superiority to set up a competent, but unspectacular offense and a coaching staff that actually prefers the power run game (they went deep into the playoffs with that blueprint for two years, but moved away from it last year and, surprise, they sucked harder than a black hole. They're just itching to go back to their roots.). Team chemistry sorely missing (Tebow could work miracles in that room). New offensive coordinator Sparano's middle name is "Wildcat". Tebow's red zone TD percentage is the highest of any QB in the league (!!!). And Tannenbaum himself is an unconventional GM and known to take chances on outside-the-box prospects.

Ah, but they just signed Sanchez to an extension. So what? Think about it. (And if you have a rebuttal to this point, you'd better damn well be certain it's a good one.)

There's also the "Rex Ryan as rebel" factor - and by that I mean his personality makeup is such that he doesn't mind throwing caution to the wind just so he can prove people wrong. Call it ego, call it whatever you want, he enjoys the attention and loves to win on his own terms just to say "I told ya so, bitches!". And isn't that what Tebow represents? I mean I pull for the guy simply because I am sick and tired of all these so-called experts shooting their fucking mouths off about how Tebow is a guaranteed failure for a whole litany of reasons I do not think really mean much. I mean how do they know for certain? Aren't these the same experts who had orgasms about the amazing mechanics/athleticism/football IQ etc. of Gabbert? Of Jamarcus Russell? Of David Carr? Of Ryan Leaf? Aren't these the same bunch of lame ass swamis who whiffed on Kurt Warner? On TOM FUCKING BRADY? Weren't they so sure back then? Why the fuck do these guys think they have THE answer ALL THE FUCKING TIME?!

Did I just turn this into a Tebow debate? Ah, fuck me.

Let the comments come and the debate begin.

EDIT: ...and the JETS it is. Tebow and 7th round pick to the Jets. Broncos get 4th and 6th round pick in 2012 draft. Sanchez is so fucked.

I definitely think he's going to Jacksonville. Btw, being in CO right now sucks haha, all the Peyton Manning/Tim Tebow shit is all people care about. I'm a football fan, but this stuff annoys the hell out of me.

Bah, I thought this was going to be a news thread that actually said where he was going.
It's easier not to.

The Jags passed on drafting Tebow and instead invested a lot into Blaine Gabbert. It seems really unlikely that they're going to go after him now.

Tebow's red zone TD percentage is the highest of any QB in the league (!!!).

Funny enough, the second highest on that list in the last two years: David Garrard. Really puts that stat into perspective.

not a bad write up i can tell your an NFL fan. I'm a hardcore Jets fan and I can see it being a good thing but it does seem a little risky well see what happens.

Nope. Look at numbers 3, 4 and 5.
Leaving aside what the stat means for a moment, are you saying you would discount red zone TD percentages? Please.

And David Garrard is a legitimate nfl QB. He is not a wash out. I'm not saying Tebow is a hall of famer. I am saying given his relatively young body of work so far that he is more likely than not a legitimate qb starter in the nfl, PROVIDED he is surrounded by the right system.

Like the Jets.

I wish Tebow would go to the jets, but i don't really think its going to happen. mark got that contract because the front office was kind of apologizing for having talked bad about him, and to show the locker room that everyone else is expendable, but mark isn't. remember rex ryan saying mark made the dumbest play in football history, and tannenbaum continually saying mark had to improve. I think the jets are looking for a qb that will make mark work harder and actually be some competition, but not a qb that the fans will ask for when sanchez throws one bad pick.

i don't necessarily agree. i think mark won't ever be a great qb. people are talking about how sanchez and eli basically have the same numbers in their third year, but eli has a completely different mental makeup than sanchez, and i think mental strength is more important than how you throw a football in this league. i would like to see tebow with the jets running that run-heavy offense and great defense, but i think the front office has made it clear that mark is their guy for at least the next two years

i do think tebow should get a shot to start, possibly at cleveland(which desperately needs a boost), jacksonville, or miami.

Oh and by the way, Jacksonville as an organization has gone through a few changes since Gabbert. You might have heard. Like a new fucking owner and new head coach.

Oh Cleveland... where big-time college quarterbacks and proven veterans go to suck.
That wasn't any act of God. That was an act of pure human fuckery.

Cleveland wouldn't take Tebow as of now, because McCoy and the coaching staff is running the West Coast Offense, the complete opposite of a Tebow option offense. Miami is unlikely as Philbin would not want to risk his beginning coaching career on an enigma such as Tebow.
Venture Capital is better off spent on lottery tickets rather than investing in E-Sports; you'll get a far better return. The difference is simple: Koreans are tryharding at the game, foreigners are tryharding in real-life.

Should be in the NFL thread tbh :p

I think Jacksonville, they should have drafted him in the first place. He will not go to NY, Jets gave Sanchez a stupid extension, I'm a USC fan, but no way Sanchez should have got that deal. My bets are Jacksonville or Patriots, I don't think he will be a starter any time soon.

Eventually he'll find a team that needs a fresh 3rd string.

To the CFL or AFL, where he belongs. Unless he becomes some kind white jesus H-back version of Randel-El. He serves no value as a backup qb based on his inability to throw and the ridiculous offense he requires to be successful.

Jacksonville. It's gonna happen. Khan has publicly said he wished that they had drafted Tebow, and they have a new coach now. Tebow could play a very versatile role on the team and there's even room for him to contend for the starting QB spot if he improves. Not only that, Jacksonville is 90 minutes away from where Tebow played college football. That man would single-handedly revive the Jags franchise by selling out every single game they played (both regular and season tickets, home and away) and he would probably cement their place in Jacksonville for a very, very long time.

Here's to hoping my Jags bring in Tebowmania.
A sound mind in a sound body, is a short, but full description of a happy state in this World: he that has these two, has little more to wish for; and he that wants either of them, will be little the better for anything else.

I think plenty of teams will want to sign him and I think the Broncos are silly for letting him go.
He's a phenomenon who can make a big positive psychological impact on a team.

Does that mean he should be a starting QB? No not at all.
But as some analysts are pointing out; why is QB the only position where you play one player the whole game?
Red Zone efficiency, 3rd and short situation. These are all positions where Tebow can excel and it gives the other QB time to rest the arm a bit.
And what about special teams? He would be a threat as PAT holder and other roles.
Most QBs play all the time because of ego and wanting to break records. That's why I don't think somewhere like the Pats is ever likely.
But if he goes to a team with a reasonable QB he could be a real asset.
Don't hate the player - Hate the game

Just heard on the radio in the background that Tim Tebow has been traded to the Jets for a 4th rounder.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/21/jets-acquire-tim-tebow-from-broncos-for-fourth-round-pick/
One day after the Denver Broncos signed Peyton Manning as their new starting quarterback, Denver has traded Tebow to the Jets for a fourth-round draft pick.

The trade ends a tenure in Denver with Tebow that was one of the most astonishing two-year stints that any player has ever had with any team. Tebow was a surprise first-round draft pick in the 2010 NFL draft, then surprisingly became the starter in the fifth game of the 2011 season, and then shockingly led the Broncos to a series of improbable comeback victories and became arguably the NFL’s biggest star.

And now Tebow is with the Jets, one of the many teams he beat with a great fourth-quarter comeback last season. It’s not clear whether the Jets plan to allow Tebow to compete for the starting job, or whether they expect him to be a wildcat quarterback, but the player who’s as famous as any in the league is now in the Big Apple.

Mark Sanchez, Tebowmania is in your rear-view mirror.

If Jacksonvile DOESNT get him, they will be the LA Jags in 3 years. No question.
