If you have been following Western Wolves' SC2 academy cup lately, the announcement will appear to you as rather predictable and quite logical after all. For those of you who aren't aware, we recently organized a cup which basically determined the player, or players, who would make up our Starcraft division. Over sixty participants turned up for the online event, all willing to fight for a spot in one of Europe's leading organizations, as well as to compete for the amazing prizes offered to the top three finishers. However, only one individual has been awarded with the possibility of representing the Wolves. Dear readers, please, give a warm welcome to our new family member, Brian “Spades” Francis.

Brian comes across to be a well-known face to any Starcraft enthusiast out there. With over $4000 in winnings, and considering his past involvements with top calibre teams, the man's experience is unquestionable. He has been linked to professional gaming since Brood War, and has never looked back. Spades was rated A-/A in the iCCup platform, which only a few have reached before him. With regards to the game's latest release, Wings of Liberty, he has achieved countless regular cups victories, as well as a lot of invitations to the most reputable tournaments around. Early 2011, Brian travelled to Korea for the Code A qualifiers, where he trained in the MVP and IM pro houses, respectively being shelter for some of the best players in the world. His addition to the ranks of Western Wolves is definitely a step in the right direction.

The man decided to give the following words:

"I'm very happy to be representing Western Wolves in upcoming events this year. They've shown a great interest in me, and made it very clear they want to do everything they can to facilitate my growth as a player and increased success. I feel very optimistic for things to come, and I hope to make Western Wolves, as well as my fans, very proud."

We wish him the best of stays from behalf of all the organisation. Spades' first event wearing our shirt will be IPL 4, in Nevada, Las Vegas, so stay tuned for future coverage. If you haven't already, please follow him on his Twitter and Facebook pages.

About Western Wolves: Founded in the very early days of 2012, Western Wolves is an international professional gaming organisation regrouping the world's finest cyber-athletes in the domain. Several players compete on a daily basis under our tag in order to bring the greatest results. Not only we set our sight on the loudest names of each discipline, but we also gather new uprising talents with the potential of becoming future impacting figures in e-sports.

Western Wolves is a new project established by the core members of our direction. The idea consists of splitting up the Belgian organisation LowLandLions - former shelter for many of our divisions and management representatives - in two, allowing us to untie an appurtenance to the Dutch community, as a result of a bigger liberty regarding our influence on the world-wide gaming scene.

We are a young set of individuals breathing ambitions in bigger quantity every second. The support from popular brand such as Madcatz grants us the possibility to properly sustain all of our teams, leading to a remarkable success within the vast networks of the electronic sports. By maintaining a hardworking and cooperative collective, we strongly believe in a future involving prosperity and successful performances by every single one of our members. We are all united by one thing: our passion for video-games.

Sickest pick-up! I wanted Spades to have the Code S over Naniwa but unfortunately he got some problems with his team or something. Glad he found a new home to start dominating the world again. Probably one of the most talented players out there.
