If you have been following Western Wolves' SC2 academy cup lately, the announcement will appear to you as rather predictable and quite logical after all. For those of you who aren't aware, we recently organized a cup which basically determined the player, or players, who would make up our Starcraft division. Over sixty participants turned up for the online event, all willing to fight for a spot in one of Europe's leading organizations, as well as to compete for the amazing prizes offered to the top three finishers. However, only one individual has been awarded with the possibility of representing the Wolves. Dear readers, please, give a warm welcome to our new family member, Brian “Spades” Francis.
Brian comes across to be a well-known face to any Starcraft enthusiast out there. With over $4000 in winnings, and considering his past involvements with top calibre teams, the man's experience is unquestionable. He has been linked to professional gaming since Brood War, and has never looked back. Spades was rated A-/A in the iCCup platform, which only a few have reached before him. With regards to the game's latest release, Wings of Liberty, he has achieved countless regular cups victories, as well as a lot of invitations to the most reputable tournaments around. Early 2011, Brian travelled to Korea for the Code A qualifiers, where he trained in the MVP and IM pro houses, respectively being shelter for some of the best players in the world. His addition to the ranks of Western Wolves is definitely a step in the right direction.
The man decided to give the following words:
"I'm very happy to be representing Western Wolves in upcoming events this year. They've shown a great interest in me, and made it very clear they want to do everything they can to facilitate my growth as a player and increased success. I feel very optimistic for things to come, and I hope to make Western Wolves, as well as my fans, very proud."
