Team 8’s Lee Jae Dong (Jaedong) “You have to at least win 10 in a row to…”
Already a 5 game win streak. For a while maintain a win rate barely over 50% in a pretty bad situation in Round 2, after his game against Shin Jae Wook (Flying) of Woongjin Stars in a ‘Variety Game’ has not lost since and maintains a 5 win streak. He seems to have shaken off his sub par performance as the ace player.
The Ace of Team 8 coming back alive continued to bring good news. Team 8 continued its end of Round 2 momentum till now and can still hope to reach the post season.
Q. The team won after a hard fought battle. How do you feel? Jaedong – It is the 3rd round and you don’t know where you will place so each game is crucial. Today’s game was really difficult and we have to win the rest of our games to enter the post season, so we will try our best to keep this pace until the end.
Q. After the ‘Lee Jae Dong Maek Kyung Hwa’ game, you have a 5 win streak. [TN: using the Dong inside his name, creates the phrase Dong Maek Kyung Hwa which is hardening of the arteries, dem drones mang] Jaedong – In ended up that way in the end (lol). It was not intended but I think that match expressed what was in my mind. After that broke through I’m on a 5 game winning streak right? Honestly instead of a winning streak, I think it is more important for us to reach the post season. In my role of the team, I believe I have to win all of my games so I have to get a 10 win streak.
Q. Lee Young Ho (Flash) has a 13 all-win record. Jaedong – Recently Flash has been doing well. All-Win Most-Win king, he is challenging a record that is unbelievable I think he is very impressive. If we play KT and I meet him I would like to break his streak but right now our team winning comes first (lol). If I meet Flash it would not be to break his all-win record but to do my best for our team to win the match.
Q. While the team is doing well, your last match against STX SouL might be regretful. Jaedong – In a coach’s shoes, it is hard to contain your anger in that situation. But instead of saying something to the players, he supported us saying ‘let’s do better next game fighting’. Seeing the frustration on the players, he definitely gave us more confidence. I think that affected us in today’s match.
Q. Yum Bo Sung (Sea) seems to have struggled a lot through the interview. Jaedong – When I practice with Sea I felt that really he is an impressive Terran probably top five of all progamers*. But his games were continuously not working out, his game play was not good, and also seemed to affect his confidence in his play. However a player of his caliber won’t fall so easy. If he pulls himself together, I think he can return to his past self.
Q. You are in a situation where you are treading on thin ice. Jaedong – I am enjoying this situation. In a must win situation walking on thin ice, it is firing up my competitive spirit even more. It's like being on crack (lol)**. Winning in these spots are many times more happy and enjoyable. Honestly I do want to cruise along but these thin ice situations are fun too. Of course I hope the result is nice too.
Q. You seem to have slowly regained your ZvZ sense. Jaedong – Since my wins were slowly stacking up, I regained my confidence. I feel like I am searching for my own way of playing, and that’s a relief. Because the match sets have been reduced, I feel like this is an opportunity to show good play. Honestly I want to play other races as well, so on the other hand the decreased matches disappoint me a bit. I would rather be tired and sleepy at the moment. Also now that the Ace match is removed, after preparing for two games for so long now only preparing for one game, I feel a bit bored. I think my body has adapted to a busy schedule.
Q. Any last words. Jaedong – I feel so happy winning today. Lately my teammates and I are cheering each other up and training our best. Playing football or doing outside activities outside I think it’s building up our teamwork and maybe a reason why our record is improving as well. To help our team become the last team laughing, I will try my best.

Won a sloppy game, could tell he was choking up answering the questions during the interview and there was a shot of him with his head down in his hands later on. Feel bad for the guy.
Hmm no interview from baby? he did good that last game!
Threading on thin ice ... Really JD has been an ACE for OZ for ages, i think we all know he can handle presure he's the kind of guy the more you piss on him the more he's going to prove you wrong. Flash 13 kill streak ? And ? Why is that even relevent in a match of ACE vs T8.

Must be harsh for him. Well, I sincerely hope Sea's performance returns to its MBC-era level! : D
