First off, I want to thank every player who has played in this tournament. You have all made it such an amazing experience. From the hilariously terrible games in Pool Play to the johny23 saga, every moment was one to remember. None of this could have happened without you guys!

[A]Playing against Sakura.. we are like starcraft buddies , I don't wish to face him again.

[Q]What was your easiest and hardest game of the whole tournament?
[A]Easiest will be a game against -mantoss- which is not casted at electric circuit.. WHY WHY WHY??

[Q]You play ZvT this next round against Snipin_Panda, how do you think you'll do? Are you worried?
[A]I heard hes C+ and I am only C,but of course I will show a entertaining game and I want to prove that I am worth for my semi final slot.

[Q]What have you been doing to train forthis tournament? Any special practice partners?
[A]Lol, playing against random people. I only have special p and z trainer no T partner so looking for 1 !

[Q]How do you feel about the maps?
[A]Jade sucks. I want to veto that map, but I've never played outsider before so no choice!

[Q]If you win, who would you like to face in the finals? Lumire or Dysxelic?
[A]Lol, Lumire since he said that i have the easiest bracket and he's playing Z for this tourney. I want to show him that my zergling is better then his zergling

[Q]How did you like the overall tournament? Any changes or things you'd like to point out?
[A]Overall tournament is great. Lots of bm.. I hope that we can use the current PL map for future tournament so there will be more strategy that can be used!

[A]Thanks fold and neko for advising me and giving me strat.. without you all i wont be in semi. i will like to shoutout to all my stream viewers who support my half naked stream. I promise i will continue to show entertaining game and of course promote to C+ IF POSSIBLE ! :D

[A]Hmm... watching the drama between johny23 and others was pretty interesting haha. The series with kororo and johny23 was pretty fun as well.

[Q]What was your easiest and hardest game of the whole tournament?
[A]Easiest was probably the pool play games since the rest of my pool were C- players.
Hardest game was probably either game 2 vs kororo or game 1 vs johny23

[Q]You play ZvZ this next round against Lumire, how do you think you'll do? Are you worried?
[A]I think I'll do fine as long as I don't lose in the mindgames and build orders too badly :D I'm a bit worried about my lack of practice and inexperience with the maps but then again, it's zvz and I played with virtually zero practice in all my tournament games until now so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Lumire is definitely strong and had the hardest bracket so I'm expecting some tough games.

[Q]How did you feel about pool play?
[A]pretty easy tbh

[Q]How do you feel about the maps?
[A]I wish 2 of the lesser played maps were switched with 2 more popular maps such as FS/HBR but the map pool isn't really too bad thanks to veto. If we didn't have veto I'd be complaining

[Q]If you win, who would you like to face in the finals? Snipin_Panda or S2Glow?
[A]Probably Snipin_Panda. I've only played mirror matchups in the bracket so I'd like to play a non-mirror in the finals.

[Q]How did you like the overalltournament? Any changes or things you'd like to point out?
[A]tournament was/is lots of fun :D thanks for organizing it ^^ please do a C ranks teamleague!!

[A]Good, relieved about my ro8 match, after the first set i knew i would be able to win the series. I have to admit i was actually pretty scared for the ro8 since his style is pretty different then what I'm used too.

[Q]You've made it to the Semifinals of this tournament, do you have any special memory on your way here?
[A]Oh man defiantly that johny kid, all the spin off grudgematches and shit talking surrounding him it made this whole tournament worth it, i still cant believe how a single person can make so many enemies so quickly.

[Q]What was your easiest and hardest game of the whole tournament?
[A]Easiest game would probably be either one of my pool play zvp's or my first match vs probe on outsider.
Hardest would defiantly be first game vs Drywater on triathlon, it was really more of him losing then me winning that game.

[Q]You play ZvZ this next round against Dysxelic, how do you think you'll do? Are you worried?
[A]I'm pretty sure hes going to rape me, i dodge zvz on ladder/practice and it's been hard to get active Z practice partners. Although i think hes going on 0 practice so that might be my saving grace.

[Q]What have you been doing to train for this tournament? Any special practice partners?
[A]Mostly been practicing with dedicated practice partners (huge thanks to sl]..alec-, [3S]FaQu, and snipin_panda). also LRM)nOoNe has been helping me a ton strategy wise, so huge thanks to him.

[Q]How do you feel about the maps?
[A]lol well i think anyone who's read the thread knows how i feel about the maps, but the new format where you can veto the maps before being assigned the first map is defiantly better.

[Q]If you win, who would you like to face in the finals? Snipin_Panda or S2Glow?
[A]Defiantly Snipin_Panda, even though hes a good friend of mine i really really don't want to have to play another zvz if i advance. ><

[Q]How did you like the overall tournament? Any changes or things you'd like to point out?
[A]Yeah overall the tournament was pretty great, i think having the matches more organized and structured would have helped a lot viewer wise.

[A]Yeah huge shoutouts to LRM)nOoNe and [3S]FaQu for helping me come up with strategy's, also thanks to everyone who helped me practice ZvT despite having other matchups to prepare for (SL]..PuppyKLR-, snipin_panda, SL]..AleC-, [3S]FaQu)

[A]I feel like I was lucky to make it to the Semifinals.There are better players who got knocked out at some other stages >_>;

[Q]You've made it to the Semifinals of this tournament, do you have any special memory on your way here?
[A]Probably the third game against lonelyprobe. Even though I blocked his all-in, I still managed to siege on top of mines and get literally half my army blown up by one. I nearly had a heart attack that moment.

[Q]What was your easiest and hardest game of the whole tournament?
[A]I didn't feel like any game was particularly easy or difficult.

[Q]You play ZvT this next round against S2Glow, how do you think you'll do? Are you worried?
[A]I think the result of the series will be a 3-0 or 3-1. For who, I'm not quite sure. I'm generally confident in my TvZ, but I don't think I match up well with his style, so that's why I'm worried.

[Q]What have you been doing to train for this tournament? Any special practice partners?
[A]Not really anything special, but have been playing a little bit more. Thank you to puppykiller, lumire, 1004, protossknight and drywater for helping out.

[Q]How do you feel about the maps?
[A]Overall, it's not bad, but I wish there weren't so many of them. It's quite hard to prepare when there's 5 or 6 to consider.

[Q]If you win, who would you like to face in the finals? Lumire or Dysxelic?
[A]Lumire. Dysxelic is freakin' scary man. I don't wanna have to fight such a scary person.

[Q]How did you like the overall tournament? Any changes or things you'd like to point out?
[A]The tournament was pretty well run. I think the map pool should be reduced to around 5 or 6 maps, and I also think from pool play to bracket play things should be seeded according to pool finishing order. Lum's bracket is significantly harder than mine.

[Q]Any Shoutouts?
[A]Shoutout to shimy for setting up this tournament. Shoutout to puppykiller, lumire, 1004, protossknight and drywater for practicing with me. Shoutout to harem, who keeps on feeding me strategies despite hating terran for some reason. Shoutout to my friends at CMU, who despite being lazy bastards(you know who you are) and don't play the game, still encourage me to play.

[A]Pretty good, pretty good

[Q]How do you feel about your tournament run?
[A]I'm actually disappointed, I came in as the favorite and dropped the ball against johny. I haven't practiced heavily in months so coming back and doing that was a pretty big hit to my ego, but I'll comeback stronger in the next one =)

[Q]Did you enjoy the tournament? Any changes you would make?
[A]I did enjoy the tournament a lot and all the drama around it. I would love to make it a larger number of player but I know that would be pretty difficult.

[Q]Definitely one if the biggest upsets, Johny23 managed to beat you with two very cheesy games. How did you feel after those games?
[A]I wasn't really sad, I was disappointed. I knew I wouldnt win the tour because I was out of practice but I didnt expect to lose in that fashion at all.

[Q]Can we expect a rematch?
[A]Oh yes I totally expect a rematch in the form of a BO7 grudgematch and I expect to take it handily.

[Q]Who do you think will win the whole tournament?
[A]The Terran in me wants Panda to win, but I believe Lumire has the best shot.

[Q]Anything in particular you want to see happen in the semifinals/grand finals?
[A]I want to see some Hive play ZvZ, that's probably the most exciting thing for me about these Semi finals. Also I think a Panda vs Lumire finals would be quite awesome to see.

[Q]Did you prepare for your matches any certain way? Any practice partners?
[A]I didn't, After I signed up for the tour my laptop died and I had yet to receive my student loan money so I had no time to practice before my group stage matches and The only thing I did to prepare for Johny23 was to glance at the maps I hadn't played a lot on.

[A]I'd like to shout out to all of those who organized and set up this tournament, especially you shimy.

[Q]Hey lonelyprobe--! How are you?
[A]Heyo doing fine just woke up ^^; Don't have to wake up early to practice anymore... ;;

[Q]How did you feel about your performance in the tournament?
[A]I've only picked BW back up recently so I knew I wasn't in top form, but even so I had good days and bad days. When I was practicing for my set against snipin_panda, I played Probe and had an epic 30 minute PvT where I was macroing and techning appropriately. That was a good day. For some reason, the next day when I played my matches, it was a bad day. Micro was weak, macro non-existent, lots of blunders. It might have been because I got schooled so hard in the first game on Outsider xD WP Snipin!

In short, I am happy I at least passed pool play, but upset that my results do not reflect my potential. I will try hard until the next time to regain form.

[Q]Any big upsets that you saw?
[A]johnny23 over anyone, especially Noise[aov]/Shotcoder. Johnny23 is my new favorite player. He represents everything that is tricky and non-standard about BW. No hotkeys? No problem. No macro? Who needs it? I feel like he has a strong understanding/sense of the early game and the possible strategic plays, much deeper than generally standard-playing folks like the ones present in the tournament. In short, on paper he seems absolutely terrible, but if he was good at NOTHING, how would he be schooling people so much? xD

[Q]Who do you think will win the whole thing?
[A]Dsyxelic. From what I've seen, he's the best remaining player. Snipin_panda's macro during engagements, at least in our games, was his shortcoming. Lumire's losses to johny23 in ZvZ and overall negative BM attitude are not the makings of a champion. S2Glow's play was questionable against Drywater. Anyways, I think that Dsyxelic is the strongest player remaining, mechanically. Strategically, we'll just have to wait and see!

[Q]Did you like the way the tournament was run? Any changes?
[A]Overall, yes, you've been an absolute pleasure to deal with. This is a testament to your personality more than anything.What I would change:

1) Maps. Almost everyone bitched about the maps, but I don't want to completely blame them. What I would like to see changed is the manner in which they were selected/revealed.

First, they have to all be made known at the start of the tournament, for every match and RoX.

Second, where is FS?! I think it would have been nice if you had added it, although Jade and Desti are pretty solid.

Third, I suggest a poll system to vote for maps... For example, you as the tournament admin pick 2-3 maps that are the base maps, like FS/Jade/Desti, for example. Then you ask for suggestions in the thread - people will probably suggest maps like Outsider again (I know snipin_panda will). Then you make a poll with the most prominent suggestions, with a 2 day expiration time. After 2 days, the top map gets chosen and added to the pool, and a new poll is created with the other suggestions, also for 2 days. Do this over the course of a week or two, and you have 7 maps that have 1. a standard foundation and 2. were chosen by the players/viewers! So no one can cry, right? Well, let's not kid ourselves, they will anyways. I still think it's a good idea.

Fourth, use the same system as is used in BoX play for OSL/MSL - Both players veto 2 maps AHEAD OF TIME, and then a random number generator is used to order the maps, with the first map repeated a second time in a Bo5, and for a Bo3 the maps are also chosen by random#.

Haha that seems like a lot >> Sorry for ranting, but I have more...

2) Seeds. I think they should matter lol. It should be that people who play each other in pool play would not have to face each other until finals, and that first seed players should always face second seed players from a different group, etc. etc.

3) Be more forceful with w/o, most people wait until the last day to coordinate shit and then it turns out they are 13 hours apart. That is unforgivable. If you want to move on, you have to want to set a time ASAP.

4) 1 week between each round.

[Q]With the Johny23 saga happening, what part did you have in it?
[A]Oh lawd. I think I was his first enemy, arguing in the thread about the morality (principals, obviously) of random and race-picking in a tournament. Then I obsed him whoop Lumire 3-0, and lose some of the humiliating games possible against Saddles haha. As soon as Saddles entered op tl, I was caps cruising JOHNNY MUST FACE SADDLES. JOHNNY MUST FACE SADDLES. Who could resist such an epic battle of egos? Haha.

[Q]Can we be expecting a lonelyprobe vs Johny GM anytime soon?
[A]I don't know. He seems to either have moved on, or realized that I'm so much better, or erroneously think that I am not as good as him and not worth playing. Either way, he's already taken down Puppykiller and Lumire officially forfeited when he left the GM early, so next is Fold/Shotcoder? The man has his hands full, we'll see if he's interested after all those.

[Q]What is something you want to see in the semifinals/grand finals?
[A]Lumire lose and QQ like usual, snipin_panda to beat S2Glow, for a non-ZvZ finals. For great justice.

[Q]Any shout outs?
[A]First shout out goes to Shimy for organizing this tournament. Second goes to L_Master, Cobalt, Artanis[xp], Panda and NoOne for casting and other assistance during the tournament. [A]Mad cause everyone in this coffee shop is a hipster . Every time I look at a hipster and they appear to be having fun, I get angry.

[Q]How did you feel about your tournament run to the Ro8?
[A]Qualifying was good. Gaying AleC (who seems to be the only Terran on iccup aside from me that will 1 Fact fe in tvt apparently) was just wrong. Prior to gaying AleC i was like 16-4 in my last 20 tvt's. Since then I've gone like 10-30 lol.

[Q]Best memory so far?
[A]In the middle of my match vs Oxycaty, I got interrupted by some swanky broad who wanted to know if she could share my table. Fuck that! Do I look like a hipster stupid woman? Go find a hipster!

[Q]Who do you think will win the whole thing?
[A]I think Lumire vs dyslexic will be the winner. I think Glow could maybe beat Lumire in a zvz in the finals but I think Panda will beat Glow unless Glow does some really tricky builds.

[Q]Biggest upset so far to you?
[A]Most of the tosses getting eliminated was really uprising. When they started complaining about imbalance, I got really upset. I almost threw up.

[Q]Did you like the tournament? Any changes you would make for next time?
[A]It was really good and I met a lot of new people. Only changes is smaller map pool and more time between rounds. That and loser has to write winner poem.

[Q]So this whole johny23 saga started. What part did you have in it?
[A]A few days before it happened I told Johny23 that I really liked him, and that I wanted to be friends. I was so amazed that such a person existed. Something about him reminded me of Joey Wheeler from YuGiOh. We had a great time hanging out in op teamliquid, not actually talking but just sitting afk in the channel, staring at each others names and thinking about each other. Then I went 6-0 vs him and I promise that I did not BM him once! But he got mad and well... we fell apart.

[Q]Any words on the grudgematch?
[A]Well at first i thought it was total bullshit because BBS should never even come close to beating proxy gates and i spent most of game 2 killing critters and botched my push to recreate my game vs kiante (8facts) and game 3 we spawned cross map and i 4 pooled offrace vs 8 rax bunker and game 4 wasn't actually me playing.. it was my friend who's supposed to be good at starcraft but now is terrible because he plays league of legends. Then I read a really intelligent post by lonelyprobe- that made me decide that all that matters is who won, and that Johny23 is the better player. So I would like to congratulate Johny23 for his victory and apologize to the 60 or so people who made the mistake of viewing the matches and were forced to listen to SNM talk for a few hours.

[A]Not really, but I would like to watch other people GM him.

[A]Yes. Sorry AleC. Thanks to Panda for making dropships on maps that have cliffable nats, thanks to Shimmy for organizing the tourney and interviewing RO8 players, really really good casting by both No1 and L_Master, thanks to everyone who played games with me for practice... most notably Favian_Su, Ni.Cuteplay, SL]..AleC- and I would thank Ni.tank but he only played like 3 tvt's with me -_-.

Also shout out to lonelyprobe for being so intelligent, Fold for being so manner, Johny23 for the good times before they ended 8(((( and Ni.Lumire for winning! GOGOGOGO you got it badboyo!

[A]Great

[Q]For people who don't know you, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
[A]Sure, I am not really an active gamer anymore although I have played a lot in the last 2-3 weeks.

[Q]What did you like most about the tournament?
[A]Everything really. My only complaint is the map Triathlon.

[Q] What were your hardest and easiest games?
[A]Easiest game was vs shotcoder... I had to check several times to make sure I wasn't playing vs the computer.

Hardest game was at 2:00AM on triathlon vs dysxelic. I underestimated his skill and was already frustrated with the map.

[Q]Did you feel any pressure from the BM that was coming from the thread?
[A]Not really.

[Q]How far did you think you would make it and were you happy with how far you actually did?
[A]I thought I would make ro4 at the very least but I feel I had some bad luck with getting triathlon plus I choked.

[Q]You are pretty famous now from the recent activities going on in the C Ranks thread. Do you have anything to say to your fans?
[A]I don't think I have many fans. Most people want to see me lose but so far puppy lost 4-0 bo7 and I am 6-1 vs lumire. He also basically forfeited are bo7 after leaving when he scouted my eco build.

[Q]What did you think about the tournament?
[A]It was really great over all.

[Q]What did you think about the maps?
[A] Electric Circuit and Triathlon suck hard. Every other map was good or decent.

[Q]How do you feel about your recent GM with Puppykiller?
[A]I feel like I was vindicated. I don't care what he says 4-0 in a bo7 grudgematch is a strong statement. Sign me up for CJ Entus.

[Q]Were you stream cheating?
[A]Its funny most of the people accusing me of stream cheating are the ones who pretend to be smart or who call me dumb. Let me totally debunk the stream cheating theory.

Game #1 my probe left to cheese and started pylon prior to puppy killer starting his cheese. Also my zealots were sent in the wrong direction which could of cost me the game.

Game #2 I played standard had a probe and/or dragoon outside his base the entire game. After that it was replaced with obs/reaver. Once again like game one stream cheating wouldn't of even helped.

Game #3 I know puppys best race is by far terran. So when someone picks a SUPER lame map AND goes zerg it's kind of obvious he will 4, 5 or 9 pool. The map is so lame if you send units to attack they literally scatter everywhere. It's a joke map.

Game #4 I had a drone inside/outside terrans base for the first 4-5 minutes.

Lastly If you watch the stream I even said prior to the game starting I said "IAM SCOUTING CROSS POSITION". After getting cheesed game one it's best to scout cross position to check middle map for proxies.

Your name is impossible good sir. I had to look back at it like 8 times when I was setting up the overlay lol.
