Hey everyone,
I decided to make this quick thread to find out how people vent or get over their anger. What I mean is, after a long tough day filled with stupid people and even stupider events, what do you do to calm yourself? What about after a tough fight with a parent or a spouse etc? I simply think it is interesting to see how other people do it.
Personally, after a heated argument or fight, I will usually listen to some comedians, especially my personal hero George Carlin. I usually don't bother trying to play video games, since the games that I prefer are the type that require a large amount of concentration and would make me rage harder. I also might stick in some metal and rock out to some angry music; interestingly, I usually get more calm rather than more agitated when listening to metal. Occasionally, I will watch one of my favorite movies, District 9; it makes me feel so good when he breaks out of the hospital bed, grabs a knife and a doctor and starts screaming, "I'm gonna cut his fucking eyes out!" Ahhhh, takes the anger right out of me.
What about you guys?

I hold it in for years and cry every so often.

I just don't get mad in the first place.

I slowly let the anger creep to my brain probably giving me a tumor... But seriously I usually work out or play sports, sometimes ill play a game that requires no skill or focues (minecraft, LoL... )

most of the time i sleep it off. chances are, you will realize the next morning that whatever it was that made you extremely angry was rather trivial.
also, i'm a nerd so i end up studying like crazy. although, that's probably more due to the fact that most of the things i'm angry about are related to my performance in school.

and deathmetal and push ups often help!

Listen to a lot of music, and channel the emotion somewhere else. For example I'm a distance runner, and when I'm angry I push myself a lot harder than when I'm not angry.

Crosscrawl marches. Great for your brain, blood, and general health, and usually I've chilled off by the end. Helped my lower back ache, too. Yay!
