iCCup December Monthly Map Pool

Hello everyone!

This is the iCCup Monthly Map Pool. It will consist of the maps designed and created for the sole purpose of competitive tournament 1v1 play. Any and all tournaments are welcome and encouraged to use these maps!

The map pool will consist of 7 maps this month. We will continue to monitor the effect of the new pool size and adjust in following months if needed.

PLEASE SUPPORT iCCup MAPS HERE! IT MIGHT HELP!

Some maps will be rotated out of the map pool per month, to promote growth and to prevent stagnation of the current map pool, a hallmark of what helped Brood War grow to the gigantic E-Sport is was in it's hay day. However if a major bug or serious imbalance to a race the map may be either suspended from the map pool temporary until the problem is fixed, or be rotated out completely if the problem is considered un-fixable. If this happens the empty slot will normally not be filled until the following month to allow players proper time to be prepared for the new map.

Please stay tuned to this thread as map rotation dates, replacing map, map suspensions, map removals, and all matter will be updated daily in this thread.

We always encourage feedback on the maps and will seek to make the strongest and most solid map pool to date.

To find iCCup maps: Create a custom game within the SCII client, find the search box above where it says "author" and search "iCCup". That's it !

To find iCCup maps on EU: Create a custom game within the SCII client, find the search box above where it says "author" and search "iCCup". It will probably not work the first time, you have to search a couple times until it shows up.

Really like your maps. Wish blizzard would use some of them and even if they didnt I really wish they would rotate maps monthly like your map pool. Im getting bored of the the same maps over and over again

BTW I always wondered what was the big idea behind these high mineral patches in the center of Enigma. Why is there only 1 camp and so many of them ? (4 geysers too , that's a lot)

You just got my 1000th post. I was going to save it for something epic but I can't think of anything.

The middle patches have only 500 minerals in them and the geysers only have 1500 gas each. It's a short economic boost to put your mid or lategame macro into overdrive to tip your opponent over if you can hold the expansion.

Not much room for Missle Turrets however. With 4 ledges things like Void Ray and Muta snipes could be viable.

In my opinion you should pick a single map to promote and get it popular, as no one ever joins the iccup maps when I try.

Blizzards custom system is god awful, however, and SC1 system was superior in nearly every single which way with the exception of hosting issues. Fucking autostart in 1v1 when a bronze player joints!?! Major anger!!!! Inability for host player to boot when open to public? LKFJLKD! Ridiculous!!!! Can't host a 2 player map when in a party of multiple people even if they want to obs? SDFLKJFSD

Love the maps. Except i never find people to play on them . These would make for some sick mech if mech wasn't crap.

Blizzard is such a hard head the should just use these maps on ladder. We should all make different individual Blizzard SC2 Maps suck threads on their website.


Blizzard failed with their Ladder for SCBW (LOL super hack slow mode ) and are gonna fail this one. If people want macro games give it to them. Their always the most fun to watch and thats final.

We need more tournaments to use these maps so Blizzard sees how good they are.

Blizzard desperately need to either implement maps such as some of these on the ladder or learn how to create proper maps themselves.

BTW (Last question I promise) I know that some feature like "raise lava" / "lower lava" do exist.

What are you thoughts on those feature do you think they could be viable in a "competitive" map.
