What worked for me personally was downloading the GB client instead of US (selectable on bnet account) and going to the properties of the download program. then compatibility and selecting service pack 3 and running it as admin. Yes thanks! Saw this on Diablo forums bu that's what worked. For reference: Okay got it working!!! For me it WAS NOT related to firewall issues like the Blues seem to want to blame it on. It was related to Windows 7 64bit. My solutions: Right Click setup file: "Diablo-III-Beta-enUS-Setup" click "Properties" In the GENERAL Tab: click the button "UNBLOCK" security In the COMPATIBILITY Tab: in the Compatibility mode CHECK "Run this program in compatibility mode for: "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" In the COMPATIBILITY Tab: Check the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox within the Priveledge Level area. Restarted my machine, and initially it stayed at the same 60% spot, but shortly it moved behond and actually launched the D3 launcher!!! Try this fix, as it worked for me and a few others in the Technical Service forums. Best of luck

I don't think any D3/Battle.net developers working on code have any free days from now until release. Especially this weekend. Battle.net devs are properly inspecting debug output from the servers to see if any bugs are happening live.

My friend is a software engineer and when they are nearing release they work at night w/o weekends. He practically lives at the office, but the salary definitely compensates for that.

Especially when it's this kind of software which has pretty hard deadlines. When you have that kinds of jobs you love it. I know I do ![]()

If you have a short range attack/spell, then put that on left click and you can move freely by clicking out of its range. If it really bothers you so much that you can't have it on left click, use autohotkey and swap left click with some other key. In D2 if you have a bow in hand you can't even have a Move function but nobody complained about that.

Hope Blizzard fixes this. It might not be better than your skills, but sometimes it's just fun to run into the fray with your sword raised. You mean auto attack? You can do this by choosing elective mode in the options and then just unbinding the skill on left click or right click. Edit: this applies for holdthephone above, too, obviously.

The problem with this is you then lose a skill. It's pretty stupid that the skill slots are locked so that you can't place a spell in 2 until it's unlocked. It would be better if having unlocked only 1 means you can place 3 spells in any of the 7 slots.

In D2 there weren't giant click boxes on the monsters, so this is a non-issue. Just played Torchlight, it's system for skill bind is a breath of fresh air, completely intuitive and flexible, compared to the razor wired prison that is D3's system

So far so good, very interested to see the harder difficulties though. But I have it here in account details on the left side, Beren#1192 [I created it after it asked me to, my SC2 battletag is Beren#958 I thought this one should be there] and as I said this account is used for SC2 so it should carry over the battletag from there, should't it?
