The ships and lazers looked nice, but almost all of the characters looked retarded minus the ship lolis. They look alright. I think the plot will suck pretty hard. It seems to be about the same plot quality as Gargantua (aka shit). And kids operating boats = bad. Anyway, I think I'll pass on it. Le dropped. | ||

People complain about Tomino's characters like this because they're realistic and they don't like these people in real life so they don't want them in their animu, but let's not pretend this isn't realistic. That speech Char makes in Zeta is before Kamille is mindfucked and before ZZ shows the Federation is corrupt as ever and is willing to let Haman drop colonies just to cull population. He speaks in Zeta about how people need to leave the Earth and let it heal, but what happens at the end of Zeta and ZZ is what drives him to think that he needs to do it forcibly. Obviously this could've been written in better, but looking at how Char develops in Zeta it's pretty reasonable. The one thing I'll agree with you is that CCA is too heavy on MAH LALAH, but I think you're reducing it too far into just her, and at the same time the movie establishes that she spends her time regularly fucking with both Char and Amuro so with years of that I can see why they'd both get bitchy about it. That being said, saying CCA pretends Zeta never happened ignores how petty Char is still in Zeta and the repercussions of everyone in that show forcing him back into a leadership role he didn't want. I don't expect for them to act intelligent, but I expect for them to act believable. There are limits to stupidity when it comes to believability. For example, Hathaway barely even knew Quess, and yet he still did all the things he did over her (including killing Chan). An opposite example is Al in Gundam 0080. He is stupid, but believable. I may personally dislike the character, but I can't call him poorly written. Reccoa is supposed to be stupid, and making stupid excuses to justify her actions? In any case where I see a poorly written character, you are just saying "well, they are supposed to be stupid." Why? With this same line of thought you could explain any bad character with "well they were supposed to be bad/stupid." There could be any number of people out there who think any number of things. You could extrapolate this to say "well, every character is realistic because there are people out there who think like this." I don't believe things like that are good excuses for bad characters. Why do you keep talking about Kamille getting mindfucked? That happened because of Scirocco, and was never used at all to explain why Char changed in CCA. How could that make Char angry at the Federation? Kamille isn't even mentioned by Char after Zeta. And the Federation allowing that colony drop may or may not have been justification, it never said so in any anime. That is fan justification. That is even worse than SEED trying to fix plotholes (like how he got up to the Plants after his battle with Athrun) with the Astray Manga. Like I said in my previous post, CCA Char explains his justification and why he started the 2nd Neo Zeon War was to get revenge on Amuro over Lalah. There is one scene where he is sitting down talking to Nanai, and he basically starts talking about why hes doing it, and its all about Lalah. And thats pretty much what he told Amuro at the end as well. The political stuff about Federation corruption wasn't his actual reason, that was a front to get people to fight behind him. | ||

The battles of Seed seem different from any other Gundam series I can remember with the battles usually ending up in a draw with the Strike/Archangel vs Athrun's team and then Freedom/Justice vs Muruta Azrael's Gundams. I expected Freedom or Justice to find a way to deal with Forbidden's energy shielding, but instead the non super Gundams find a way to defeat it. I thought the space whale would be the explanation for the seeds, but I read up on it and it's essentially just the newtype factor that advances humans develop because I didn't understand why Athrun had it not being one of the artificial womb babies. The series had a decent ending if you ignore the magical Birdy and I'll just pretend it ended there because everyone says Destiny is bad. Now I'll work on finishing my Freedom model. | ||

It was a bit weird to get used to CG characters moving around, but other than that, it's somewhat interesting. Magi S2 + Show Spoiler + Hnnnnnng so much hanakana hime!!! Cause that season one didnt answer ANYTHING O_O i know theres a manga thread for it and so that probably as way surpassed the anime.but damn O_o i was guess the female one was either annie or the other blonde short hair girl cause she also had those pale blue eyes and was right there after the battle, i cant remember what her name is but the others called her "goddess" cause she was so pretty. If theres no season 2 anime coming up (ever!) i wouldnt mind having some answers from manga readers, like who gave people titan power, why some human-titans have better powers, the giant one the armored one, annie and her crystal armor. I can assume they all got injects like eren did from his dad, the basement probably as like secret plans like the formulation or something, but then the question would be why (like why make these human titans to BREAK the human walls to let retard titans in) Probably because they made the retard titans too, but if they made them by accident than the human-titans would be fighting agaisnt them and not with them, so that means the retard titans were made on purpose (on purpose to eat/kill only humans) tho who could have made such things, like could someone really have constructed a potion all those years ago? I also have a crazy theory that maybe theres like this titan god/ overlord and hes just plain evil and he convinced a bunch of humans to kill all the other humans (titan god would spare them...though lies in the end) cause he needed some way to break through the walls and his retard titans cant do the job. Also annie backstory what happened with her dad O_O and her house and how did she get dragged into this, in her flash backs her house seemed crushed maybe by titans, and her dad was talking to her about no matter what side shes on he'll be there for her, which would fit in with the titan god guess cause he got unwilling dragged into that mess. Lastly im not sure if it was meant to be part of the anime, but after the ending song, it showed the wall and the hand cracks annie made trying to get over it, and a bit of wall fell out and behind it was annie's titan face, which is like WTF...and why i doubt its part of the anime...titans make up the wall? .... (cant be true when they broke through the walls with the armored titan there wasnt an titans inside... im so confused by this anime and i feel so betrayed after watching the first few ep i was in shock (i normally dont watch violent animes) this was just so HOLY CRAP for me and soooo depressing but i felt like i needed to watch because i wanted to know the answers to all the mysteries thought i really really hope this isnt gonna turn out like lost where i was even more confused at the end | ||

The CG makes the animation look kinda uncanny for the characters. Ship animation was pretty good, but it's hard to judge until we get to the weirder shit in an ep or two. | ||

I'm going to end up comparing all the boat designs lol.
