It is the maoyuu writer, while he does have girls fawn over the protag, the 'harem' moments tend end up more like comedic relief rather than service.

I think I only like Takao/Atago designs more, the Yukikaze design from the latest chapter I saw is kind of good but I have a weird attachment to the beaver of kankore.
Is it sad that I like the enemy ships from kankore more than I do the latest bunch of bad english meidos from arpeggio

The battles of Seed seem different from any other Gundam series I can remember with the battles usually ending up in a draw with the Strike/Archangel vs Athrun's team and then Freedom/Justice vs Muruta Azrael's Gundams. I expected Freedom or Justice to find a way to deal with Forbidden's energy shielding, but instead the non super Gundams find a way to defeat it. I thought the space whale would be the explanation for the seeds, but I read up on it and it's essentially just the newtype factor that advances humans develop because I didn't understand why Athrun had it not being one of the artificial womb babies. The series had a decent ending if you ignore the magical Birdy and I'll just pretend it ended there because everyone says Destiny is bad. Now I'll work on finishing my Freedom model. Good call, especially if you liked characters like Cagalli or Athrun.
It has shitty plot that rivals Code Geass S2, on the other hand, it has plenty entertainment and OP mechas. I don't regret watching it though I'd wish it made more sense.

Late to the party (I started watching anime really late), but ticked Madoka off the list.

I accidentally spoiled myself at some point back that someone would die in ep3, and by the time it happened I figured out it was going to be Mami. So from the get go I wasn't expecting a happy show, not with knowing Gen Urobutcher anyway.
I did see Sayaka's end coming and wasn't particularly surprised with Kyoko, but it felt both natural and well-told. Not surprising twists, but good story telling. The thing that did get my was when Mami went batshit during Homura's flashback. I had been going on the false impression that Mami had some darker secret hiding about how she was/her wish (yeah I know she essentially got strong-armed by Kyubei in a car accident) but to see that she was actually who she was and got fucked over by the situation was... Surprising.
Last comments. I admittedly have a weak spot for when the idea of 'historical inertia' is played with, and I enjoyed the way they handled the Groundhog day scenario for Homura. But then again I'm still scarred by freaking Endless Eight so anything but that is an improvement. Oh, and Kyubei was done very well IMO.

I've got 12 things under currently watching right now, leave out Monogatari because it already started last season and something else that isn't from this season I started because of irc chat and we're at 10 episode 1's I've seen out of this season so far.
Log Horizon is probably the one I'm most likely going to drop despite people saying it's better than SAO. Not like that's much to give a crap about but I haven't watched it until just now because I thought it'd be just the same thing. Anyways it just felt super boring to me and I didn't like the MC one bit... not that he's annoying or anything like that but boring really fits the bill for me.
But I'll keep on watching at least 2 more episodes.
