He lost vs Soulkey in GSL and vs GuMiho in GSTL, otherwise he has won everything left and right. I'd say he's in the best form he will ever be. I kinda agree with your prediction, allthough both MC and Squirtle could win their matches. Would be nice to have match 5 matter!
Because the only koreans not in a slump are Sting, HerO, Leenock(GSTL win), Sniper, Ryung, Bogus, HyuN, PartinG.

3-2 for Korea. Nerchio and Stephano wins their matches.

Seed < LucifroN dongraegu > Scarlett Squirtle < Nerchio Life > Naniwa MC < Stephano
foreigners will win 3-2
Maybe Scarlett wins instead of Lucifron.

I would think that LucifroN has a better chance of winning than Nerchio.

Thats actually a very good for foreign team, no K Terrans so it can be total ownage for either side.

Really good/lucky match-ups for the foreigners. Only NaNiwa is in a position where he has almost zero chance. LucifroN also has a hard match, but unlike NaNiwa, I'd say he at least has a chance at victory.
Nerchio and Stephano should be favored, and Scarlett's ZvZ is fucking formidable. She's at least 50/50.

I don't know what people are thinking saying Stephano is the favorite to beat MC, he had awful tournament results at BWC and DHW, he even lost to TT1 in NASL.
It's bo1, but if MC plays solid he will roll over him.
also, lol at everyone saying this is team slump. I guess the only players not slumping are the ones not knocked out of the current GSL season. Seed is the only player slumping, really.
Also, if you hand picked the 5 currently best performing KR players this match would be a complete stomp instead of potentially something competitive, I don't think anyone wants it to be super one sided for KR.

But Seed also beat Stephano pretty recently in IPTL and has wins over Symbol, etc. Yes, he is in Code B after winning season 3. But it only takes 3 bad series to drop to code B.

The matchups are ok for the foreigners. Since its only Bo1, they might take this.

Maps look fine, matchups look okay, I think it's gonna be a very fun tournament to watch, I'm not sure yet, but I might be more excited for Code S and the World Championship than for the actual IPL event.

So bad Stephano is in a really bad shape, otherwise I can see a Foreigners 3 - 2 Koreans. Nerchio and Scarlett can definitely win, Naniwa got the wrong ticket :-/ Gonna be hard for Lucifron, but Seed hasn't been performing greatly lately an upset may be possible.

Thought this couldn't happen but ... this looks like the foreigners will win.

I think we should adopt a wait and see attitude to seed atm, let's see how he does here. Center did play really well he could be another TSL practice bonjwa breaking out rather than a sign of seed not being good.

Great, can't wait to see some ZvP's.
|
This could go either 5-0, 0-5, 3-2 etc. Think this is as close a Foreign vs Korean matchup could possible be
|
hard to think coach won was the one to send out these players on these maps.

This is actually a really good "Non-ge" line-up for the international team (taking some really bad match-ups in order to get some really favorable match-ups in return). It sets them up for a good chance of a 3 - 2 win.
Seed vs Lucifron: Normally bad, but pretty decent in context of who else he could have faced. DongRaeGu vs Scarlett: Very good, Scarlett is an excellent ZvZ player and DRG has been shaky. Nerchio vs Squirtle: Very good, Nerchio has shown excellent ZvP against Korean opponents. Squirtle is recovering from a slump, but not back to top tier yet. NaNiwa vs Life: NaNiwa is the NonGe here, he takes one for the team by eating a very hard match-up so everyone else can have better ones. Stephano vs MC: Excellent, probably the only one where foreigners are the sure favorite.
If DRG wasn't playing on metro, I think a Scarlett/Lucifron swap could have worked ;o

Lucifron>Seed Scarlett>DRG Squirtle>Nerchio Life>>>>>>>Naniwa Stephano>MC
foreigners 3-2 imo.
