Also, I PROMISE everyone that my english will get alot better, i just need to keeping talking and talking for as long as possible because what i'm lacking is fluency, not vocabulary ! This is due to the fact that i haven't had any opportunities to practice my english in about 5 years or so.
Very Important: The stream is only live when there's a red "LIVE" button right next to the "pause" button. As Such:
Intro:
I have decided to go straight to "LIVE" broadcasting so the episodes in the BETA will not be recorded. Also the 5 interviews will be 3 and will be live, sometime during this week. They will all be announced at least 2 days in advance and will be in English.
Do NOT try to learn anything from my ZvZ games. If you want to win you need to go to banelings very early in the game. I do not go for pure bling/ling even if i lose 3/4 of my ZvZ's because i'm still hoping blizzard will fix ZvZ.
Also because i lose so many zvz's (especially vs good players) and i've forgotten alot during the beta downtime, it will be very difficult to get back to 1000. It will probably happen just as the beta goes offline again so bear with me. At least you can watch me as i re-learn all the subtleties of the game and hear me discuss my replays and see the way i cope with loss.
As of the current moment you are my favorite streamer to watch, glad to see that you will be planning to stream a lot and have some commentary. Whats funny was I was using your zvz strat and it was working for me much better than Ling/baneling was, so even though you say it isn't good against good players, at least it is helping me out a lot .
thank you for all the nice words; i'm not deserving, really ^.^
I will upload the VODS from tonight tomorrow morning (CET). Possibly with better quality than the previous ones. And i've also somewhat fixed my microphone problems !
Follow me on twitter to know when i'm going online.
You should be able to do higher quality with VODs, since you aren't actually streaming them(?)
If you record the videos, then just upload them, you should be able to do pretty high-quality stuff, without worrying about bandwidth.
(PS: Thanks for answering my queen/spinecrawler Q earlier today, LOL!) <3
PPS:
The "Episodes" i'm talking about will mostly be in Romanian, some however will be in English. I'm surprised how many foreign viewers i'm getting so i'm considering doing more English than Romanian but thats yet to be decided as english is not my native language and i'm not too confident with it. You will decide yourselves if you like my english or not.
Your English is better than a lot of Americans on Youtube, buddy. I look forward to English commentaries if you plan on doing them Don't be self-conscious about your English! The only things I can see that some people take issue with are pronunciations of unfamiliar words like "ravine", which I am sure that 90% of native English speakers cannot pronounce properly. (sad but true) Even in these cases the points you are trying to make are clear and the words you say are pretty obvious. (I mean, if you're saying "Kulas ____" the second word is quite clearly ravine.)
So, just wanted to add that ^.^ [and followed on Twitter!]
I've watched you for a few days now, and you have your moments where you are outspoken against terran mech. From the games I have seen though(which prob isn't many), you very rarely if ever get tunneling claws/OL drop/Nydus. Have I not seen enough or is there a reason why you like to try to attack the terran mech head on? The long game on metalopolis today was just 1 prime example I hope you're open to talking about your strategy here!
I have much respect for Decemvre. Not only does he let us watch his games but he is able to analyze and commentate which is very constructive. This is exactly what i have been looking for to improve my owe game.
And he is fast. I wish i could be as fast as he is. yes he APM spams but its constant throughout the game which most people cannot do. Unreal, cant get enough.

Keep it up Decemvre, you have a fan. Cheers
Thank you; you're too kind
Also, Going live in 10 Minutes !
I wont argue with anyone saying that APM in SC2 is not important; or at least not as important as in SC1. However in SC2, just like in SC1 there are certain moments in the game when your APM and multitasking need to "explode" to 400 or more. Mainly when being harrassed to death by T or even P.
You can play fine without what i'm talking about right now, even if your apm is constant at 130; i just do it for that little "extra".
If you could make the audio on your commentaries a bit louder it would help. Also try to separate the videos right off the stream from the ones in which you comment replays. A little organization will make your stuff alot more enjoyable !
Nice to see a romanian taking interest in this kind of stuff restecpa.
Hey Decemvrie, I really enjoy your streams. The music you play is awesome just to let you know, and it's perfect right before I crash into bed. Are you listening to a channel? Or is it Decemvrie live music as well? ;-) Please let me know if it's a channel and what channel it is! Thank You.
Just wanted to say thank you for your stream. It's a pleasure watching you play and I give you credit for commentating and analyzing in a second language. Don't take any flak for that, if it's given.
I know you don't want anyone to learn anything off your ZvZ, but it seemed like you play an absurd amount of mirror matches yesterday and I couldn't help but pick up a few tips with general roach use. Thanks for that.
I look forward to tuning in later on and beyond release.

Yeah, thats not gonna happen...
Also unfortunately i will be dropping the youtube uploads because splitting everything into 7 or more parts is just painful ! However i do still want to keep my youtube channel going so i might just upload the first part of each episode there and then link to blip.tv.
I just wanna tell everyone how great Blip.TV is If you're considering uploading high quality vods just go straight to blip.tv since Procaster saves your files as .FLV and Blip.tv also uses .FLV files so no conversion (on the website or otherwise) is needed.
Yesterday on stream, you mentioned about willing to cast some replays of viewers. I find it as a good opportunity to analyze a bit my play by some Pr0 :-). Im posting here 2 games, ZvT and ZvP.
I started game with mindset: 1 base speedlings off the bat to scout maybe some dmg. Expected to see some Void Rays. Depending on enemy - banes or expansion. The reality went a bit diffirent. Of course i forgot to sac my overlord in order to mid-game scout. Im forgetting to do that often :/. Anyways, Prott went for a mass Stalker-blink timing attack. I answered with Hydras. Prot switched to Colossi which i supposed will come, but not from a 1 base as he did :-). He caught me off pants with that a bit and slaughtered my Hydras. I helped myself with speedlings to buy some time for Roaches. Nice final battle pincer attack involving Roaches and Speedlings against Stalkers, Colossi and an Immortal :-). Lastly he switched into DT's but that wasn't too succsesfull.
In this game, I went 1 base baneling bust against this terran. I don't feel to comfortable to fast expand when im in close air/land posistion against T. I drew my Overlord as fast as i saw the CC on minimap (he could see it for a moment, but i think he didn't). I messed up my baneling bustage due to lack of decision on my part. Could've get those 3 baneling in the mineral line.
Anyways, Terran did some strange strategy, not a pure mech as I thought he will, but many vikings mixed with tanks and hellions. I answered with my lovely Roaches (i switched to Z just after the 2supply nerf, it's tought love but honest :-) ). We can see some good sneaky-burrow stuff on my side. I used to an extend the lack of Terrans detectors.
TBH i thought after that failed banebust that it's a lost game, but the burrow did tremendously in this matchup.
... Im a Platinum level player (was 9 highest, some massed no-brain games took me back to 51 atm :-( ). Im having difficulties to macro while being pressured by opponent. That makes me stack my resourses which I find hard to spend later. In serious battle sometimes im forgetting also about my queens to spawn larvae. Although I do mostly manage to posistion my troops correctly and not to throw away them recklessly.
If you choose my Replays, I will be very happy to see them analysed by You. I fell like I grasped the basic knowledge of game, but im struggling to keep up everything running fast enough with right timing. Im looking forward for tips and criticism in order to upgrade my play :-)

Regards from Poland for Romania LittleMac,
Thank you for your feedback; it would be my pleasure to analize your game, just make sure you follow me on twitter and then send me a message saying who you are. That was basically the deal all along
Also i will be casting Episode 5 LIVE with webcam in 1 hour !!!

I asked someone from the TL staff to consider making my stream a featured one; i'm very grateful to him regardless if i get featured or not.
Also Episode 5 is up on BLIP.TV, you can find the link in the OP (original post)
Im really happy that you answer questions of viewers. It must be very demanding and tiring to do. Hopefully, u'll keep this pace all the time. I like the analysis on DIMAGA play, although I believe he didn't polish ( :-) ) this strategy good enough. After few failures he probably started some random stuff (like when he layed down Spire) betting on luck/tricking opponent to get back in game.
As you pointed, it would be much more succesfull just to contain terran with roaches to prevent any ground rushes (instead of loosing them on breaking the wall) + expanding simultaneously. Common sense whispers about incoming Air attack, perhaps DIMAGA wasn't at his best back then. Watching the replay made me want to try it by myself, same as you said on stream :-).
Don't listen to haters who demand the Husky-like "Jizz in pants with screaming" style, they are just trolling. Keep the cool analysis, so all the Zerg players can acquire as much wisdom as possible.
Anyway, im very satisfied with your stream. Keep the good job done. Obviously you are rusty with english, but luckily, good enough to communicate decently. I wish to see you in some serious tournaments finals after the relase of game :-). Looking forward to episode 7, I'll watch it for sure.
On July 21 2010 06:34 pksens wrote: Nice one, thanks for the answers, you spend alot of time. Zerg dedicated casting ftw \o
I spent alot of time because the beta is down :D.
Anyway i hope you don't find my english too annoying i know its not perfect but i'm doing my best to improve.
I have watched a couple of your streams and I have to say you are one of the better one out there. I'll be tuning in when I got the time. And I have no problem with you English (maybe because mine isn't any better), but I think you communicate well enough.
There was a guy on the stream yesterday that claimed that not all the zerg buildings release broodlings when destroyed, rather only the hatchery, spawning pool, evolution chamber and spire does. Never thought to check this during the beta.
His argument though was that this made the evolution chamber well suited for walling purposes. But does the broodlings really make that much of a difference in this context? The evo chamber should still be considered best suited though, the mineral cost is quite low compared to the amount of hitpoints it puts on the field.
Decemvrie, next little thing you can improve is to get that cover graphics over the replay timer.
Enjoying your show so far.
Edit: With increased exposure so comes the trolls to the chat channel, time to get some moderators.
With regards to the pauses, hell this is your show #7, you will get the balance with pause/unpause/slow as you get more experience in doing live analysis, that shit is so demanding.
Thanks Dec, i love your stream and appreciate the analysis and thought that goes into it. The music selection is fine, lol, but it may just need to be a little lower in volume.
I was typing in chatroom, unfortunately u couldn't see it ^^. Wish I could do it in-game but anyway:
Im horrified of the number of mistakes you pointed out (thats good, I will watch this episode many times). As I said im having problems with spending resources while microing army. Multitasking needs to improve.
I'll defend myself a bit here :D.
1) I didn't lay down the Baneling nest right away, because I wanted to fend off the scouting SCV
2) I didn't do the Muta follow up, because i scouted the Startport with reactor. (+1/1/1 easy to get Thor fast a bit, also I thought that Terran will expect Mutas. Maybe that's why he did so many Vikings).
3) I layed defences one step ahead expecting Banshees (its bad though, it was due to game be4 this one when Terran raped me bad with early cloaked Banshees). Later this payed off, he switched to Banshees and tried to kill my economy but it was impossible. Again, you rewinded...
4) Early upgrades did won me the game, I Couldn't spend resources better due to lack of Fast Expo. 1 Armor upgrade is a big deal as much as weapon upgrade i think. Keep in mind that roaches survive more and it makes them easier to burrow and recover. Also not upgraded tanks kill upgraded armour roach in 4 shots in siege mode instead of 3 since the siege tank nerf (Im pretty sure about this). Much more survivability (expected more tanks).
5) The blunder on Terran part was not getting detectors with his army nor base.
6) You skipped the best parts! Time x4 made my play look like a bronze player who scored a lucky win out of nowhere.
Main fight was skipped totally and you said that it must've been a big mistake of Terran player positioning. That really made me sad. Also I did some decent burrow-sneaking roach action in 2 places simulatenously, that was skipped as well and not visible at all. Terran scanned as much as he could after the 1st encounter, but I made it pointless by micro. (skipped again).
In conclusion, You focused so badly on the begining and skipped the rest badly in order to get as fast as possible on Jinro/Haypro replay. I felt like you did this replay half-hearted and after early mistakes ("bronze player, lets rewind so hopefully people won't leave my stream") thrown away any will to analyze it to the end (confirmed when u said that there is no way I could win the game, just no attention to what was happening in game from you). I just hope that You will talk about viewers replays to the end from now on. I'm plat btw.
I liked a lot the Haypro play, enjoyed the baneling usage until the end. Also analysis was worthy to hear although the level is much more higher than mine. The Jinro's comeback made me sad again as a Zerg. I fought some simillar games (on lower lvl ofcourse) and i suffered same as Haypro. (Drops on my base, Terran expanding on island + mass mule) I would erase the Planetarry Fortress, and make Terran buildings to lift off slower with slower moving speed and not to store energy while in air.
Last but not least, I'm still going to watch your Stream. It's really very informative most of time and I hope that you will keep up the analyzing style. Don't listen to haters/trolls who complain about pausing. That's the point of analyze to describe it properly, they just don't understand that rushing to watch replays is not making anyone better (not a lot at least).
I haven't watched the game vs haypro yet (I just sent most of my games from the SC2TV.ru tournament, haven't watched the reps of any of them), but I just wanted to say that when I'm first moving out there's like... the luckiest ever scan that discovers all the burried banelings haha
I think it may have been a misclick, or some spider sense tingling, I don't even remember.
Also, when I'm trying to land my gold expansion there's a hilarious moment where I think he has a burrowed unit there, and use 2 scans... but what is really blocking it is a changeling that is hidden under the floating CC -____-
Again, thanks for answering my question about tech hiding Dec! Hope you continue to expand upon that theory/answer in your coming shows like you mentioned ^_^
I don't know if you meant it or not but you also moved ALL Your marauders to the left of the xelnaga pillar, marines to the right. So so so lucky as that baneline trap was just dieing to die! Until that random scan, but I think it was when you saw some roaches you just scan to get a good fix on them I guess, reactionary if thoughtless.
Thank you for all the great feedback ! I know i pause too much i will try to change ! I promise. However at least in episode 8 i was looking to do more analysis than commentary; thats why i paused so much.
Also i will try and get an overlay to put over the replay progress bar. I know some of you have been requesting this. But up to this point i haven't done much showmatch commentary, it was mostly replay analysis.
I've already recruited someone to moderate the chatroom because there were some trolls in there that we need to smoke out.
Moreover, tonight i've actually went on for over 2 hours !!!!! So i'm making this into 2 episodes ! What this means is that tomorrow (actually already today for me) i'll be doing episode 9 ! entitled "BETA Maps"
Do you considered my thoughts? Please pay more attention to viewer replays if u start any. Post above makes me feel like u didn't read what i wrote at all...
On July 22 2010 08:04 LittleMac wrote: Do you considered my thoughts? Please pay more attention to viewer replays plz. Post above makes me feel like u didn't read what i wrote at all...
Yes, i'm busy editing the VOD to upload asap. I will read it right now though and reply here in this post.
First of all, once the VOD is up you will be able to see that i've spent 50 minutes just on your replay and it took me 1 hour to get to the Jinro / haypro rep. So i believe me i wasn't skipping ahead just to get to the jinro match !!!
Secondly, yes i've skipped over some fights, even the big fight because thats not whats important when analyzing a replay to see where your mistake was. Its very rarely the fights that lose you the game; most times its the things i've focus on. TIMMING TIMMING TIMMING + ECONOMY.
Not to mention that i have a reflex of not watching more of a game once i've found the problem that made me or whoever, lose the game...
But all in all, i've spent 50 minutes, on the clock, on your replay alone and then 60 more minutes on Haypro vs Jinro !! Speaking non-stop for 2 hours is VERY demanding...
Yes, im very gratefull to you for keeping this pace. I admire You and I hope u won't get the wrong idea im writing this because im selfish/high of myself/stupid. I want to see your stream as best as possible. Same fact, of each and every mine post being ridiculously long proves it.
I did one base opening on purpose. I believe that doing things after other people [mostly :-)] won't get me far in this game. I'm trying to figure by myself some things and test them thoroughly. I believe that one base is not necessarily always useless (especially when close air/land starting positions). Fast expansion is ofc good for future economy and i do not deny it, but it makes zerg suffer important issues like weakness to early pressure and lack of possibility to be aggresive. Makes zerg a puppet reacting to the moves of enemy instead of controlling the battlefield.
The thing is you could analyze on my replay much more compactly. Some features were pretty obvious and were useful just for total beginners. It felt like you focus on some minor issues mostly. Also there was a pretty long part, when You spaced out of replay, switched to webcam vision and started monologue about some other people gameplay and timings, that kinda threw me off balance and i couldn't see your point back then, wasn't clear enough for me [hopefully I will manage it when VOD come out]. Not to mention that this time I was suffering from some lags. You enlightened me in many things i wasn't aware of as well, and I thank you for it.
The problem you found turned out not the be as crucial as it supposed to be. It was entertaining replay in my opinion, so i thought that it would be funny to cast it. I did one base play, was persistent and managed to pull it off against the odds. Hopefully u didn't die from boredom ^^.
Also I can't agree to skip the analasis of fights (minor at least), as often tides are diffirent than we thought. That's what I love in SC2. Possible unpredictable outcome of battles, depending on situation, positioning , micro etc.
I don't blame you for skipping some parts because mine timings are indisputably piece of crap. I will provide feedback all the time, so prepare to read more from me, hopefull you don't find it as a waste of time :-).
Episodes 7 and 8 are now up ON DEMAND ! Make sure you follow the link to BLIP.TV as i will not be uploading to youtube the full videos anymore. (episodes 7 and 8 basically consist of 13 parts which is ridiculous to upload to youtube... but however i will do my best and find a solution to upload something to youtube aswell)
update, i'm sorry everyone... i JUST not fixed the link for Episodes 7 and 8... My mistake; i appologize. Now gogogo hurry and see Jinro vs Haypro ^.^/
it was unfortunate that some of us had lag issues. i appreciate your efforts to accommodate everyone.
thanks again for giving us some insight to the maps in SC2 was interesting and informative.
i would like to say i think your Q&A section is probably what i find most informative. it seems everyone is in that mid to experienced level and the questions can relate to just about everyone. so its good to get some decent answers that we can pond over while we wait for release.
also i was thinking since you are getting a lot of new ppl coming in you might want to have a frequently ask question section or maybe a top 10 things to do to improve you SC2. just so ppl can stop asking "do u have a replay pack?" or "where do u come from?" :D lol.

I think your expecting him to praise when do you good things, and got kind of dissapointed when he only focussed of what you did bad. But I believe he made this commentary do focus on what you could improve, and he really doesn't care that you showed the viewers some good micro. Because to see good micro, and good skills they can watch replays of great players. If you watch Day9 when he does reviews of gold/silver players he kind of gives them as little "respect" and actually goes through them faster than what decemvire did.
Regarding Decemviere pausing too much. I dont think its the pausing that is the main problem, but the fact that he somes times pauses for more than a min, just too point out something that I believe is really simple to most of the viewers. E.g. in the Jinro vs Haypro game, he spent a few mins pointing out why jinro made a drop in the back of haypros natural so that his army would get a good concave. Definately a very good point to make, and I belive it is fine that he illustrates it by pausing for some seconds. However there are no needs to talk for so long. Just argue why he does it, then illustrate the effect by pausing for a few secs, and move on.
I fully understand that it is not always easy to speach in short sentences in a lanquage which is not your main, but I believe you have to improve in this area, if you want to continue being a succesful caster in the long run.
Hello everyone, Episode 9 "Maps" is up on on demand. In this episode i talk alot about the current maps aswell as give yet more advice for beginners. Unfortunately i have some technical difficulties in the begining so just make sure you skip over the first 10 minutes if you don't want to watch me try and load up the Map Editor :D.
Thank you for all your feedback, i've already starting to become more fluent with my english and i promise i will pause less aswell. This kind of feedback is crucial and i am very thankful !
I will also be looking into that "FAQ" section that shambles just sugested. It seems like a good idea.
You can find all my webcam episodes (exept episode 6 which seems to be broken) over at decemberTV.blip.tv
I'm getting SO many views over at BLIP.TV its crazy; the 8th episode featuring Jinro vs Haypro is getting the most hits right now so if you haven't watched that make sure you check it out.
Bad news everyone. I have too much work to do so i have to cancel my show until tuesday. But i will begin the proper Season 1 next week and it will be better than what i've done up to this point. So, i'm back in 4 days ! Right now i want to get as much work done as possible so that i'll be able to play as much as possible when i get the game.
Heyy. I am a first time watcher today. I am from America, and you english is clear and understandable. You have a thick accent, but I can easily understand everything you are saying. One tip: I suggest you try to stop saying "uhhh" all the time between words.
damn! lol got up to late and missed ur twitter comments. i had a few questions to ask but i can save them for another time.
wait!! if people such as myself have questions where is the best place to post them? here? on twitter? i know u have a Q&A section in ur streams. however, with now 150-250 ppl watching you are going to get nuked with questions, especially when the game finally comes out
bugger it, since i got up and its 515 am ill ask here and every1 can help haha
ok early hellion harass into marauder/hellion/thor mid game. what the hell do u do? if hellions get lucky and kill some drones ur buggered. if u build static D u get ur econ slowed, cant build lings. if u go roaches he builds mass marauders cant do hydra or air cuz of thor. cant get infesters because a good timed attack u will not have your mind control spell up. its almost a perfect counter to every zerg unit. well it is perfect and its easy to do because u cant really put any pressure early game. T just follows a build order then "a" clicks to your base. really annoying.
next question. i have been playing around with the expanding nydus. i feel its very viable if u do it to their gold exp mid game. 4-5 times you have payed for the nydus. however the creep spreads to far and can be easily seen which is a drawback. but i feel if u are able to get away with harvesting it for even a little bit its worth it. my question is can u fool around with it and see what u think? my mirco is no where near as good as yours, you could give it a good go and just see if its viable.
thats about it. for now lol. oww yeah before beta went down, second to last day i believe. i really concentrated on queen injections(it was a question i asked on stream) and i felt like my game really improved. most games in early game i would miss one or two and the pressure leading to mid game was intense. however having the extra lava, units came out more smoothly and there initial pushes didnt seem as strong. now i realize that the addition of crono, mules and injections have a really big impact on the game.
so my game improvements was a direct result of your stream so i thank you :D also i got my APM from 60-80 at the beginning to a steady 120-150 now. so im really happy about that.
dont get me wrong guys im not a noob i was top 10 plat but just lazy, didnt think it mattered. however it really helps.
anyway looking forward to watching and keep it up. your english is getting better and get a some a/c haha
This might sound "cocky" but please bear with me. I'm trying to get myself invited to HDH2 so if you think i'm good enough to take part in it please post about it in their thread located here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=138376 and just suggest me as a participant since the zergs need as many participants as possible in order to stand a change. >_<;
Starting tomorrow i will be playing 12 hours a day and also should you support me i will be streaming my games from the HDH2 as First Person and also be doing commentary in my episodes if i am invited.
So just go to that thread and type in "I nominate decemvre from decemberTV" as well as link to this thread.
P.S. I will be watching the thread and will reward everyone who supports me on my stream ^.^
Thank you, please check your PM Also i have a ton of ideas of how to change my play style against mech and make the match-up more even. I will be testing everything starting tomorrow and depending on how well they work i will save some tricks for the tournament and also share some of them on stream.
My new wireless microphone that i got from a friend ISN'T working :'(( So i'll have to keep using the 1 euro microphone until i get something better or until i get the wireless one to work. However i found another volume control in procaster and set it to maximum, so i am curious how that will change in the next Episode.
Also thank you all for your support for the HDH invitational <3.
Everyone who can should be supporting decemvre ! There are so few Top Zerg players ! We should encourage all of them, specially decemvre who gives so much to the community with his amazing stream !
I cannot play because i keep getting disconnected every 5 minutes from b.net. Apparently people who used the trial version and then updated their game have this problem.
I'm very sorry everyone. I already got dropped out of 5 ladder games T.T
IM PISSED!! i have been internet capped for 3 days now im on 6.5kp lol nooooo i cant play sc2 till the 2nd of next month. finished single, what to do now? lol so sad i cant even watch streams. might have to go out and see the sun

i can't seem to find anything regarding this issue... can u link me? im worried cause i gave me guest pass away.
Wow I just saw the live game where you had a base trade against a much larger P force, and you did not give up and some hero roaches just won the game for you with some insane micro multitasking. I must say, that game was perhaps the best I have seen so far, for sure in the ladder. I urge you dec to have a shoutcaster put it up on youtube, or you could put the replay in this thread so I can look at it again. It was really incredible play!

I suppose you fixed this, but if not: Theres a confirmed bug where FPS has no cap in menu and overheats the gfx card. It can be fixed by putting this:
frameratecapglue=30 frameratecap=60
in this: C:\Users\_user_\Documents\StarCraft II\Variables.txt (Path is for windows7)
Afaik enabling vsync in vid options should do the trick too.
According to the stats above decemvre has played most games among all (registered on the site) diamond EU players. Pretty impressive hehe. He's also ranked 20th in points.
Cool stream, look forward to watching it. But what happened to all the other streamers? you never see gretorp (occasionally), chill, Nony, or any of the other big beta streamers streaming anymore ><
The only ones I ever seem to see are yours, painuser, response and trump (not that you guys have bad streams, i just like some variety)

Don't know them but I would guess that some of them are playing single player. It also is the end of summer so maybe they are either on vacation or started work again (like Orb). Or they didn't buy the game.
And now that I think about it I do believe I've seen Chill casting, so he's out there at least.
hey man, I've seen you're stream for a couple of days now. I like you're style but you're macro is horrible. No offense though i'll still be watching you're stream regardless!
WOW dude u got like 500 games played!!!! Btw Great stream, love the quality!!! just one suggestion.. make someone a mod for the chat while ur playing..helps alot!! Good luck in the ladders!
My impression of watching non stop Decemvre every day is that he could be higher up rank-wise if he wanted to, but lot of the time he is just trying out new strategies, and not caring too much about making number 1 diamond. Heck, there was even a time he felt is opponents were too bad he kept leaving the game right before they would gg out. But sometimes he just plays sloppy, but I guess that happens when playing that amount of games.
I'd gladly watch and support a zerg player... if it wasn't for loud music/too much music. Why do we need to hear low quality music on our stream? If you want music thats fine, cant you route it to headphones or something so we dont have to hear it?

Probably not. His division is pretty stacked, with Ourk at the top, so probably he could only get to #2 max.
Decemvre, thanks for the stream. I have a question, what is your macro system and your thoughts behind it? You seem to have a minimalistic hotkey setup, which I'd like to learn more about for a possible move to Zerg (from P). Every time I try Z it's the hotkeys/macro that daunts me so I'm very interested.

I'm better than Ourk, i've beaten him every match. I just lose alot of ladder games and i'm yet to find the reason.
Playing zerg against terran is the same as being a 12 year old girl locked in a basement with 5 pedophiles.
I just tuned in for a bit, and i see you re playing Vortix, and he crawler rushed you. Apparently that's the only thing he does, he did it to me too on a different map, he's such a piece of sh1t, i felt for you there
Ok, so i have been with this same ISP for 9 years now even since i was paying 70$ for 16KB/s at the very begining. However for a week now i have been getting AN INSANE AMOUT of disconnects.
About 24 disconnects in 1 week is alot. And those are just the ones that give me losses. In each and every game i play, at one point i get the "Surrender" screen and everything stops working. Some of you could notice this during my stream last night.
Now i want to play SC2 as much as possible, i have over 700 games played already, but this is unbareable. I cannot move past 700 points in part due to these disconnects (and also cheese, but thats not the issue).
So i've called my ISP, my modem is "under survailance" until later today and the guy said the problem should be fixed by monday. However, the tech guy that they sent over the day before when i called again said it wasn't my modem but that it was a problem in the neighbourhood.
Also, i have just signed a 2 year contract with them, just 2 days ago. Now i've already looked at other ISPs and i really like what they have to offer, basically 100MBPS download for ~ 9$ (Yes i know that is INSANELY CHEAP, but thats Romania; we are the 4th country in the world as far as price / internet speed goes).
So naturally i will want to put an end to my contract with my current ISP however to do so i need evidence that i can present in a court of law should it get there. I have a feeling they're not gonna just let me discontinue my service.
So i will get 2 wittnesses, basically 2 friends will come to my house, watch me play and see the disconnections. I will also video-record a couple disconnections using my camera.
So what i need help with ?
Simply, i would like to ask you if there's a software out there that can log modem / internet activity over a period of time, logs i will then be able to bring in front of a judge. Also, what other software can you suggest that needs to stay connected to the internet to work ? Right now i got SC2 and LiveStream but i would like more just to be able to show that the problem is not with B.net but with my ISP.
Wireshark is a packet sniffer that will capture all traffic coming/going.
It might just be easier to call them up and ask to talk to management to cancel your contract and make yourself a pain in the ass every day until they let you go. Companies want your business but if you do that I'm sure they will let you out of the contract.
can we also ask for replay packs if possible? maybe links perhaps? because to tell you the truth its hard to analyze the game if you cant check every details from every side, so if it isnt a big bother. Im a T player and would like to change to Z and a lot about this is because of your awesome play.
People streaming the game + thier music is always bad IMO because I would rather listen to MY music.... please wear headphones; my music is better than your.s

There's this little button called mute, use it or don't watch the stream while listening to YOUR music.

Unfortunately this also mutes the game sound, and watching a game without sounds sucksssss. I often tune into decemvres stream, because I like watching zerg. However it's rarely (sometimes he does play some metal) for more than 10 seconds before I decide I can't take the K-pop. I am pretty sure most streamers underestimate the impact of their choice of "soundtrack". There are so many streams with polarising music- If you care about viewer count, as I am sure most streamers do, pick something noncontroversial: easy listening, some light piano or jazz music I suppose. No music at all is fine too.
Ps. The "don't like don't watch" argument is for idiots.

The "don't like don't watch" argument isn't for idiots if the streamer doesn't care about viewer count. I would bet that while most streamers do in fact care, they are not so desperate for viewers that they would sacrifice listening to the music they want to listen to just so he can get over 9000 viewers.

That's probably why music in stores is always either Doomdeathtrashmetal or Gabbaspeedcoremegarave. Also I hear the technology to listen to music without streaming it is within our grasp.
Anyway my original point was that streamers probably don't know how many viewers they lose with their choice of music, duh.

I actually listen to Black Metal when im not streaming. How many viewers do you think i'd get if i streamed Darkthrone or Nargaroth ?
funny thing is that I know a guy who's a total Starcraft freak now and he used to be this hardcore trve kvltist that gradually turned into a K-pop addicted freak as he played and watched more and more SC )

The K-pop is a compromise.
Me for one, but that's not the point. I think there are as many people who can't stand black metal as there are people who can't stand K-Pop. I might be wrong and K-pop is acceptable for the vast majority. However I doubt that and to me at least it's not, and I think there are aforementioned music styles that hardly anyone objects to. Also there is still the option of not playing music at all- works fine on several other streams.

Nah, no zerg willwin anything at the moment. I dont want to play under this patch. Its ridiculous. Not that they would actually invite me, cause they wouldn't.
Can you tell me what was the song playing during Yesterday's TL cast ?? It was a DnB tune with some looped female vocals and you played several times. THX!

decemvre I think your an amazing zerg player with great taste in music. the only negative thing I can say about your stream is to stop toying with your opponents and always taking them to late game.
when you know you have clearly won you should just finish them off instead of building a hatchery at every expansion....
Hey decemvre, thanks for mentioning us on your credit list =)
Watched your shows and stream since you started streaming and learned quite a bit from it ( and i'm Terran =P ).
And after lurking the sc2 streams since beta, building a website around them and still watching about 10 hours per day ... i have to agree on the common sense about music here.
Most of the time i watch streams without or very quite music. Just the game sounds and commentary works best for me and according to the tracking on sc2.fm, also most of the normal visitors prefer streams without music.
Ofc its totally up to you, but you def. loose visitors when you play "annoying" music ... and thats very subjective. I personally would love to watch KawaiiRice, but his KPop causes such pain in my ears, that i turn off. Because watching a stream without sound is just not ... the same =D
Anyways, keep up the good work and see ya soon on the stream =D
