There could be a matter of off-topic potentially, but then I think that the post you are correcting is also bannable. So if you stick to correcting physics in unbannable posts, and you do it in a polite factual manner, striving to limit contempt within reasonable levels, you should be fine. Want help? btw. I vaguely know you do some universe-related physics. Arent you into galactic astronomy? There's a meeting in Hobart in September, my wife goes and I'll be there for holiday.

There's a meeting in Hobart in September, my wife goes and I'll be there for holiday. I did a PhD (and short postdoc) in particle physics (on QCD, quantum chromodynamics, standard model physics). Did masters on cosmology (supergravity and crap). But as of 3-4 years or so, I switched to computational biology (bioinformatics in cancer) instead, because the space for careers in particle physics is tiny and unreliable. I'm a bit sad that I left physics, but I think it was the right call. :/
That's my four-line CV. What do you do again?
So I won't be at the meeting in Hobart. Let me know if you pass through Melbourne though, and I'll buy you a drink!
And where does the fight for physics (F4P) start??

Hey, as a matter of fact, i will indeed padd melbourne for a day on my way back. Lets take that to PMs though, but it could be cool to take you on your offer
I did masters in QFT/SM and I am in my 8th year of PhD in astroparticle physics, doing some astronomy, some hadronic interactions and even meteorology. Right now I am gonna make holes in the ground at La Palma observatoru using an 8 kg hammer and an hugeass electric drill. Physics is sometimes real fun

Dunno, it depends on how it is done. I know that i have a tendency to correct people who are bad at maths and physics myself. Not in a super-obnoxious way, but by explaining how the thing they talked about actually works.
Also, i don't think opisskas job is to correct peoples mistakes in regards to physics on TL.

I work at the Institute of Physics, our main work is actually to uphold physical laws, stop any transgressions as fast as possible as punish the perpetrators. How did you think it worked, that the nature takes care of it on its own? That would be silly.

Newton always delivers retribution but Einstein has an extremely high probability of expected retribution but when examined sufficiently closely will not always be able to pinpoint the exact time or nature of the retribution.

Oh, had no idea it's so old. I always kinda assumed that it's a reflection of MasterOfPuppets's world-class sense of humor, but now I know he was just another victim of the meme ...

I had forgotten about MoP, what a character he was

he was a victim of romanianism. the meme's accuracy isn't the meme's fault.

Every Romanian I know in the real world is also remarkably incapable of understanding sarcasm. For a time I thought it was just a TL thing but I don't think it is.
