I spent my whole night crying in my room with the lights turned off. My mother isn't even coming over today and I tore up her Mother's Day card because I am just so upset over the fact of the amazing Idra being banned for a longer period of time. I just checked in to a psychiatrist to hopefully find ways to deal with this post traumatic stress disorder. I simply can not function day to day knowing that Idra is banned for 90 days. This has got to be the highlight of the thread. lol On topic, I dont think this affects Idra at all. Why not just perm ban him, considering his history. As well as his stream. TL should put its foot down this time. hes been permd 3 times and his other accounts have also been permd. a perm gets reversed faster than a 90 day ban. means its not a PERM ban then, does it...

Until he's willing to act like a responsible human being, he doesn't deserve to post. IMHO.

Each time they ban him like this it creates a whole tidal wave of posts and needless attention to something thats nothing more then just smack talk. In a odd way each time admins ban him it just widens his fan base >.< Also if TL, and other big SC communities, wish to promote eSports this sort of banter should be tolerated to a certain extent (Especially within player fanclubs). It helps fuel competition and is within many sports today. I understand this is TL's website and they can make and enforce their own rules, but really the site has grown a lot from what it was 10 years ago and they arent a small private community any more. However, some people such as a certain TL member on last weeks "State of the Game" have an extreme sense of entitlement and believe that you must not make a post unless it directly contributes to the community. This type of thinking, and I realize this does not represent everyone on TL, doesnt really help the growth of eSports. Hes already held to a lower standard then the rest of posters. If most people posted shit like him they would have been perma banned long ago. The mods have to moderate his stuff otherwise they get the "IdrA did it and got away with it" routine. As to not making posts unless they contribute, its an excellent rule in certain sections of the site. It improves the signal to noise ratio and stops silly one liner replies and memes becoming the norm.

I think he isnt going to get unbanned, TL's mods are very discreet and likey continue the 90 days ban.

You do know how long that is right ... ? 2160 Hours. 129600 mins 7776000 Seconds. 90 days is enough for all parties to forget about the incident. 2 days for idra,88 days for the fans. I'll quote this post because it needs to be said again.

"Idra's stream will still be listed in the stream section." ...because we like money. They removed their ad from his stream page. That is nice and all, but it is still a view on the site and indirect free advertising for Teamliquid provided by Idra's stream. It is in teamliquid's interest to embed Idra's stream (branding and all that other fancy marketing jazz; just because they don't get direct ad value from the page doesn't mean they get no value), and if it were not for his direct request that it be removed I would be fine with this decision. However Idra has personally asked that his stream not be listed on this site while he is banned and they are disregarding his wishes. Maybe they should re-work the stream link to just be a link to JustinTV and not to an embeded teamliquid page in the interest of transparency and accountability. *On a side note, if a person really did not want their stream to appear on teamliquid can justinTV file a DMCA takedown notice for reproducing copyrighted material? I am unclear how that would actually work for their streaming service.

and no because if a person did not want TL to not list his stream he would tell them to not list his stream, why would he need JTV to file a DMCA.

Does teamliquid have any kind of statement in regards to that? There's nothing wrong with joining the ladder at the same time as someone else. What action could we possibly take against that? So if you were streaming, and you got matched up against idra, and he magically knew everything you were doing only to find out later that he was checking your stream to see everything you were doing, you wouldn't have any problem with that? No. This is honestly ridiculous. How is that ok in anyway? How is what? There's literally zero proof Cruncher was watching Idra's stream while playing. The only proof is that he had the stream open, which he's admitted to. there is also zero proof cruncher was not watching idras stream while playing, but the differense between idras side and cruncher side is that idra has evidence, testifiers, and cruncher only has his words, not to mention that cruncher also have a potential motive to do it. the fact you are so absolutly sure cruncher did not stream cheated idra means you are one of two things: 1. you really hate idra, therefore you only stand for cruncher's defence and ignore IdrA's side in this issue (stateing there was no proof of cruncher cheating, but forgetting there is no proof of him not cheating, even though others provided evidense and testified) 2. you know cruncher personally, therefore trusting his word blindly even though he has no sollid evidense. What the flying fuck are you talking about? There is also zero proof that Cruncher was not watching IdrA's stream... that's fucking cute. Let's ban everyone on TL since while there's no proof that they're cheaters, there's no proof that they aren't cheaters either. You need solid evidence before you punish someone, there is no solid evidence against Cruncher. What is IdrA's evidence and testifiers(what the fuck?)? Who are these testifiers and why are they relevant? What is his evidence? People stream snipe all the fucking time, TL doesn't really consider this inappropriate so in this regard, Cruncher did nothing wrong. IdrA has been sniped by his teammates, a lot of people stream snipe each other. Outside of him stream sniping, we have no evidence that he actually cheated. IdrA remained consistent with his style during the IPL and Cruncher countered it. It wasn't something uncharacteristic from IdrA that couldn't possibly have been predicted and wasn't something astoundingly unorthodox from Cruncher. You don't have anything. No one has anything. IdrA misbehaved and was temp-banned for it. Stream sniping is not considered an issue as of now.
