DJ Wheat doesn't evade the fact that Day9 should be doing the analyzing, so he is questions Day9 with really intelligent questions, rather than misanalysing or saying the obvious. He's also awesome at commentating the battles and exciting moments. Good job, I really enjoy when you're on.

Day9 of course is so knowledgeable, and it's funny watching him squirm to maintain the requisite professionalism. (Anyone else see him turn purple when DJ wheat said he liked the backdoor play from kiwikaki? Oh god he wanted to make a joke so bad lol...) Wheat was great too, and the two seem to work together smoothly.

Hopefully eSports continue to gain popularity in the United States, to the point where people like Day[9], JP, Wheat, Husky and HD can make a decent living being the voice of SC2 here in the states the same way Artosis and Tasteless are in Korea.

there's no awkward silences, stupid assumptions, eveyrthing that a spectator hates when he knows more than the caster. he is definitely learning though, he's a very smart guy and i bet he's gonna become one of the best shoutcasters in SC2 as well. ps. i'm proud being casted by that guy in pro QL :> yeww hewwww

I think as long as there is someone who knows their stuff, like Chill or Day, then dj makes a great co-caster. I'm going to extend this to say that I've been incredibly impressed with the casting at MLG. JP and dj have improved tons since I heard them last. Keep up the great work djWHEAT and JP! edit: and of course Day[9] :D

Day[9] is pro enough to make anyone sat next to him took good. Anyone ? Dj Wheat have years and years of experience in casting, he started casting lans way before Day9, so i don't think that wheat did great because of the awesomeness of day9. Wheat have just a lot of confident and experience, and have smart jokes, and as he said himself, he likes to ask questions about the games that the audience would think of to make full use of day9 knowledge. This guy is really impressive as an all around caster, you can give him any game and he would be able to cast it like no problem.

Now, fast forward to the present. The hyper awkward co-caster of that year (who said "uhm" every nanosecond) is now casting for a living in South Korea, while Wheat is getting praised in his own TL thread for a great job (and it was a great job) casting SC2 with Day9, who just happens to be the brother of Wheat's now Korean original co-caster from the old WCG. Isn't life funny :D

I can't think of a better American casting duo than Day[9] and DJWheat. Wheat always asks the right questions and Day[9] usually has a great answer. yeah, this Q&A still commentary in the beginning of matches really provides the inside nessessary for an audience new to the game, and with days great answers, those two just gave the best performance of both duo´s. (NOT saying that JP wasnt great as well, but he was never sure what to say in the beginning of matches) Later on day of course took over completly and rightfully so! SUPERB JOB, u guys!

I love JP, but just think that Wheat + Day[9] really had a great level of synergy. Edit: Chill is absolutely hilarious when he casts too, but I don't know if it would be best for MLG because the audience would be laughing too hard to watch the game.

There were several comments about, "you've definitely improved", and to me this is the best compliment that any caster can get. I've covered many games in my 10 years as a commentator, and each game I cast presents a new challenge. Every game has a particular flow, cadence, and knowledge required to provide an entertaining yet informational spin on casting. For me this is something I take very seriously, and put alot of time into in order to provide the same quality of broadcasting that I would apply to any game/event. So to see the community recognize this is extremely satisfying. Guest casting with the MLG team was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again at MLG Dallas. Additionally, I'm UBER excited to broadcast the EG MSI Masters Cup for StarCraft 2 which will take place the weekend after BlizzCon, where Day[9] and I will goto the studio in Phoenix to do a live broadcast of the online games (top 8 I believe) over two days. I think it will be an awesome event featuring some amazing players and I'm sure you won't want to miss it. Additionally, Day[9] is going to be doing an interactive Daily with me that Sunday that I'm super stoked to be a part of. Ultimately though... I just want to throw a thanks back to the entire community. Thanks for allowing me to share my passion for SC2 with the rest of you... whether it's through casting things like MLG, Weapon of Choice, or just being involved with the forums... I'm completely serious when I say that TL is the best community I've ever been a part of, and it's an honor to get such amazing feedback from all of you. Here's to many years of StarCraft 2 and everything that comes with it!
