@RosaParksStoleMySeat: Travis cleared up my confusion. I thought you were enumerating different phases of the P90X workout, not complete workouts themselves. Numbers look good.

Also note, much of the advantage from HIIT is realized post-workout, so your heart-rate monitor isn't going to measure this. Please understand you are quoting yourself at burning 6,540 calories in 1.5 hours of HIIT training. Simple math shows that my estimate puts you at 6,540/5 = 1,308 calories, which I still believe is optimistic. Please don't assume "150 calories" are my words because you disregard performing this calculation. By all means, continue with your workouts and maintain your calorie deficit. Just don't be surprised when eating 6,000+ calories/day turns you fat (and fast!). so u know, each of those p90x workouts he posted is a seperate workout, done on a different day so like, his plyometric workout that he says burns 1100 calories. that itself is a 1.5h workout.

I usually just do a couple of light sets say 225ish then like 315 365 405...i feel like this isn't the best way to go about that though Pyramid up to it... 135x7 225x5 315x3 365x1 Then singles from there what you're doing is probably generally fine though. Do quick acceleration in your sets with the lighter weight to get the blood flowing and the nervous system activated but make sure you maintain good form

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Ironside, I'm not crazy, haha. I know that one hour of physical activity doesn't burn 6000 calories. I may not have mentioned this in my original post, but my current goal for calorie intake per day is around 1800-2200 calories. Based on my RMR, adding 20% for daily physical activity, and including the workouts I get from P90X, I should be having a pretty huge calorie deficit every day; my original goal of 800-900 may be significantly lower than what I'm actually burning. I'm looking forward to posting some day 90 pictures.

My name is Jesper, I'm 24years old about 2m (about 6feet 6inches) and I weigh 140kg (about 300pounds). I've recently had some scary issues with my health so I just decided something had to change. So today was my first time at a gym (EVER, I've played sports all my life but this was the first time at a gym for me). I did cardio on a exercisebike for an hour and I have to say it felt fucking great when I was done. Sure my legs are pretty much dead now after biking home, but I just feel so good about myself. I've got a question for the food guys; I understand that pasta/rice/potatoes aren't that good to eat, but I'm a student so my budget is very limited. Can you guys give me some advice when it comes to eating healthy while on a tight budget?

Can you guys give me some advice when it comes to eating healthy while on a tight budget? Congratulations on the start of your new healthy life. I will try to help you as I can. First of all, the foods that you buy will probably be more expensive if you are on a diet. That is just how it works out; as sad as it sounds, fresh vegetables, lean fish, and good meat are not cheap. This does not mean that you will necessarily spend more money on food though. While the single food items you buy will be more expensive, you will probably take in fewer calories day-to-day, which can help counteract the difference. Let me run you through what I ate today: Breakfast: Whey protein shake + oatmeal (about $0.75) Lunch: Tuna sandwich with mayonnaise (about $1.50) Snack: A few spoonfuls of cottage cheese ($1.00; cottage cheese is buttass expensive here). Dinner: Two stalks of asparagus and a lean chicken breast cooked in olive oil ($1.50). Food cost me $4.75 today. Here are some foods which are reasonably priced and healthy. I am sure that they are cheaper in Sweden than they are here: (1) Oats!!!!! Dirt cheap and amazing for the body. (2) Canned tuna. Here it costs about $1 for a can. I'm sure it's cheaper there. (3) Green vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, and spinach. (4) Eggs. Lots of eggs. (5) Bananas. My browser is freaking out on my so I have to hit post before it goes down, but you get the picture.

I'm also a bit confused by this; the foods you've listed there are the definition of complex carbs, the best type of carbs you can have. Why do you say they're not that good to eat?

Each day I probably go through: Cereal (I promise it's goodish stuff!) Milk (between 1.5-2 litres depending if it's a training day) Footlong from Subway (try stick to the better ones) Tuna Wholemeal english muffins with chesse/vegemite Steak/Chicken with veg (dinner) Fruits (depending on season) Pancakes or french toast (I have a great, healthy, pancake recipe if anyone wants it). About 3-3.5L water I'm float between 87-90kgs but really struggle to put on weight. Curious as to what some people eat and if there are any good (tasty) tips on food. I try keep my food tasty and healthy as possible because it's friggen impossible to eat boiled chicken and vegetables all day.

Trying to learn windshield wipers. Also, I also am hoping to qualify for US Nationals! I need to make total 182kg in my next meet as a 62kg lifter. My best training lifts are 85kg snatch and 110kg clean and jerk. I weigh 65kg so i'm trying to eat clean as possible to lose weight. I still am so close to 90kg snatch. Just need more practice!!! If you are still looking for a solid ab workout check out the p90x ab ripper x, its only 15 minutes but its pretty intense. Just make sure that you dont do it everyday, really only need it like every other day or 3x/wk.
