A friend of mine had been asking me for some time to play DotA 2 with her. When I finally agreed to party up, I realized that her public account and her main account were both over 4k. I was impressed and a little suspicious because she had not indicated that she was good at DotA 2 in the past (for reference, I am 3k), and may have been playing dumb whenever she watched me play.
The first game I played with her was an unranked allpick game. It was a stomp, and she didn't really get to showcase how good she was. The only indication I had that she was any good was that she passed her bottle to me after teleporting back to the tower. Most people at 3k don't do that.
I played another game with her earlier today, and it was a four-stack this time. The other two players were also 4k players, so we had a 3k (me), three 4ks (the other party members), and a solo (unknown MMR).
It was very different this time. This time, our opponents were not completely terrible and the game went back and forth at several points. However, I noticed that the three people I was grouped up with (my friend plus her two other friends) were... not so good.
1. None of them communicated in chat or in voice chat, and they did some very questionable things during the game.
2. We had one player, the guy with the highest MMR, jungle until 12 minutes before leaving to go to another lane to push (he didn't go with the team, and pushed alone).
3. Every single one of the 4ks in my group kept overextending without any TP scrolls.
4. My friend abandoned her lane (offlane) without asking for someone else to switch; I only noticed because I typically watch the minimap most of the game and noticed that she was in the jungle and our offlane was empty. I teleported to the lane to try and hold it, which helped stabilize us a bit.
5. Their item builds were bad. Our jungler spent 12 minutes AFK jungling just to get a Hand of Midas, then started solo pushing lanes. Our offlaner (my friend), went for a very nonstandard build on her hero (early game Soul Ring and no other regeneration vs. a Huskar).
6. Their mechanics and game sense were absolutely horrible. I went into that game thinking I could learn from someone better than me but these people were oblivious to the most obvious ganks (the entire enemy team revealed by my wards and yet they kept overextending past the river), and didn't look like they knew what animation cancelling or orb walking were.
7. After the game, I checked everyone's DotABuff profiles and found that none of them had played ranked solo matchmaking in a very long time, and had been on a losing streak when they stopped.
To sum it up, I feel betrayed. That was a colossal waste of my time. I went into that game expecting to learn from my uber-1337 teammates and left feeling extremely disappointed.
I highly doubt that my party had boosted accounts; they likely calibrated high and just stopped playing when their MMR dipped too low. I noticed that all of them used core heroes during their calibration matches, and IIRC, cores got inflated MMR after calibration under the old system (the one where you could spam Purifying Flames against yourself as Oracle and calibrate into 5k).

I'm in lpq with 5 reports and 9 commends (didn't beg any for those), also >9k behavior score. Good shit.
I'm in lpq the past 6 months double the times of that the past 4 years. Fucking broken shit.

Can I get not fucking retarded teammates for more then one game at a time?
They complain I have no farm on Antimage, as they shove up the wave I'm farming so I can't farm it safely. They follow me taking the jungle camps I'm doing. Complain I have no items.
They go mid omniknight, then complain we have no damage cause it's me, AM single core vs pub five core strat.

Um so I don't think I'm even going to play anymore dota until monkey is reasonable. Hero is completely busted in every regard.

So I decided to just deal with it whatever. Spam Timber every game and cut down some trees and kill him that way. Of course the very next game our team destroys them 35-4 kill score at 30 minutes in game moving to end the game, and good old mass DC because the fucking patch is bugged to hell. Free 25 MMR flushed down the toilet dear Valve FIX YOUR SHIT

I want to get back into the game since the release of 7.00. But I am constantly overextending in easy bot-matches Q.Q
Would it be better for me to start with a more "Casual" game mode such as Least Played or All Random

4 wins in 20 games, 9 games in lpq and 2 wins. Every fucking game I tried my heart out but no. If anyone enjoys this game, this is definitely not me. Tried every position: Picked carry, got 1v2 cancer safe lane, got mid, unfavored hero against constant mid gank team, picked offlane played against 3 stun team, picked jungle riki, bounty and any other roam hero in my jungle. Every game feels like 1v9 and shit.

Couldn't Valve kept 7.00 in the test client for an extra week or two. So many issues that makes a good patch hard to enjoy

Just got out lpq in 12 games. First game, hard thrower junglers; second game, grief last pick jungle invoker because he cannot play support; third game leaver mirana feeder lanes.
