I should be 6.5k confirmed. The real point though is that I should have been 80 cs and +7 more kills/towers at 20 minutes. Needed to go help my team earlier with what I got in the first 10 mins. | ||

I've played with Faceless Voids that don't land a single Chronosphere in an entire game.... Like even if the dude was missing 4 of his fingers it should be simple enough to blink in and press "R". I'm just saying, I'm 2.2k as well, and I play exclusively on U.S. East, and my experience could not be more different from what you're describing. | ||

[e] Turns out I've played a game against this guy once before, he went 1/11/2 on Broodmother. 0% winrate in his matches with me! Also this is his third game in a row going into naked BF and it hasn't worked one time. Hm. Some people don't actually fucking improve. | ||

Why would you pick Axe with lifestealer, sb, and viper and NO SUPPORTS Against a MAGIC HEAVY TEAM with storm and lesh and dp and mirana I went pugna to fuck lesh over lol but my team suuuuucked No one had great farm, not even the safelane lifestealer that I risked my life for babysitting I got yelled at for telling my team to group, even though we got four towers out of it >< fuckin sb had less GPM than the solo support, and I was warding all game ;_; | ||

Some carries just bloom later than others, like, 50 minutes into the game. PS: I went 20-1-16 in this game and it was a very near thing. When I ask HOW HARD MUST I CARRY, O LORD, HOW HARD it is when I LOSE games I carry this hard which is quite regular. | ||

Someone whose a lot higher than the playing field can usually accurately gauge peoples skill levels far below them and I've encountered way too many other smurfs that obviously distort the matchmaking process. (At least I impair myself to such an extent that I rarely become a major factor in my victories). Not everyone is a 5-6k smurf but even being 1k+ above or below changes the game to such an extent the game becomes lopsided. To win 95% of matches the only sure way to do so at lower tier is to not play team dota and play solo dota. Solo dota is muting everyone on your team , randoming any hero and playing like your team are bots. Playing to win as a smurf is playing SOLO but it also can give you nasty habits that should never occur in regular dota games. Have you ever seen those guys who think maelstrom first on a CM is a good idea? Those item choices are usually learned by those players watching a smurf go 20-0 in their games and thinking that it's the 'right build'. Regardless of HOW good you are you cannot win 90% of your matches by playing the hero as it's usually played out when smurfing in lower tiers because you'll have games where your mid feeds their sniper a shadowblade 8minutes into the game , supports who buys 5 clarity potions to spam their spells to clear waves so you can't last hit as a carry and carry players that would still be useless even with 4rapiers and 2cheese on them. Playing with people around your tier level and playing with people far worse have completely different ways of playing. Dota games in general aren't balanced because of MMR inaccuracies and hero choices that are almost always suboptimal in pub settings. Your team could be rated 1k higher and still lose because of crappy picks and crappy strategy (which occur almost as much as lopsided skill levels). Being 1k better probably gives you 10% increased chance of victory when you factor all the fluctuations that can occur. I'd say most games are 10% favored towards you or against and it's rarely(never) 50/50. Due to the amount of randomness that occurs in matchmaking , everyones experience with matchmaking will be significantly different. Saying "I've always had allies listen to me in my games" is not applicable to most people because that's an unique experience which may not be true for most people. If the common denominator for lost games is you, then that must also be true for won games which is nonsensical when you think about it. If I go 0-20 but won because someone on my team went 40-0 the only explanation is that someone carried me hard and clearly my team would have won easier if I had disconnected 5minutes into the game. Your influence of a game is 10% and that percentage only becomes noticable after 2k+ difference and certainly not 1k when a lot of people are +-1k off their real MMR. Asking people to make significant differences to the game outcome is like asking someone to jump up 2k in levels(which is beyond MMR uncertainty unlike 1k) That's not going to happen for a long time for most people and there's really no quick solution because watching your reps, increasing mechanics is still limited by game knowledge/experience. I don't blame Valve for their matchmaking since it's pretty much impossible to create reasonably balanced matches when skill levels vary and hero choices are huge factors. You just have to accept Dota just like LIFE is unfair. Once you accept DOTA is not a game about fairness then MMR , skill tiers are all that are irrelevant and you simply play for fun. Regardless of what MMR you are at 500 or 5000 , games are almost always lopsided and filled with ragers,smurfs and idiots and MMR is only a measurement of one EPEEN and nothing more. | ||
