Wat, aren't you contradicting yourself here? As you said, each level of morph gives you more than stats itself, so why would you skip it?
To be blunt, there is NEVER a situation where you should delay morph. Except maybe one level for adaptive strike for breaking channeling or tps against some line ups.

I watched way too much dota over last week because of TI2, now I can't win a lane/last hit properly.
|
*chooses first, Night Stalker* *rest of team chooses, 3 other melees, other team has 3 or 4 ranged*
Ok...not great, difficult to farm but we can still do this.
*Lifestealer follows me to top lane and instead of the two of us trying to creep he goes jungling, leaving me getting pretty much absolutely no farm solo against Morphling/Wisp*
-_-
Oh and according to someone in a different game whining at me last night an underfarmed Night Stalker should be able to take a heavily fed Lone Druid who is six levels higher solo during daytime. Would have helped if they'd not let him farm so easily and fed him so well early on...

He only said that for level 1, you never skip it because it gives you 3 str/agi but it gives you +1 Agi/Str after that while stats give you +2. But while his logic is correct, stats over Morph is an outdated build that makes little sense after they added stats to Morph in my opinion. Not only the diference is smaller for Morphling compared to AM, a good reason why AM's do it is the extra HP and a better Morph gives you more survivability than 1 Str point. The extra int helps a little, it's just not enough. If you are freefarming in a safe lane you can just morph a little bit of agi and you won't have issues with last hitting at all.

Did not know that lvl 2 onwards of morph only gave 1 str/agi, my bad. Still doesn't ever make it worth skilling stats over morph though :D

If it gave you 3/3 every level and you morphed everything to Agi, it would be close to Drow's ult level 2. That would be insane, it was already a pretty big buff.

I remember when I used to go Waveform and stats on Morphling just to get some early kills ^^. It was good.

I am 0-10 with the guy, I am fully convinced that I have the worst luck ever when I pick him. It's like the DotA gods know that I picked Furion and they choose to match me with a leaver or players that cant hold a lane. Yes, I know like 2 or 3 of those games were my fault but I swear those others... oooh..
I know what you mean. I have a few "cursed heroes" too, namely Shadow Shaman, Shadow Demon, and lately Furion as well! No matter what happens, whenever I pick one of the former two I'm against a lane combo out of hell with no help from anyone, no farm, and babysitting a carry. When I pick Furion, I go to the jungle, and 5 minutes later we are 2-10 and enemy Huskar three shots everyone.

Windrunner. I'm rly good with her but i have 40%winrate over 50games.

QoP, PA and Naix are the cursed heroes for me. Minimum of 2 feeders, farm-stealing supports and ragers from before picks start.

Just learned a couple new things in my last game. Im a complete troll for getting Arcane boots on Naga apparantely, and also Sylla is much better in the jungle than in lane! I'm so glad I have these great players to teach me things.

How the fuck do you stop a freefarmed SK with BKB, AC, Armlet, Abyssal, Desolator, and a pocket Omniknight with Repel?

Trying to play a melee hardcarry at the start sure is tough
Even people who apparently "main support" constantly try to steal farm and hinder your lasthitting
I miss League of Legends ranked so much, at least people knew their roles ...

TI2 made me really want to start up DOTA2 again!
First 2 games with multiple 1-10 feeders made me go back to SC2!
Guess I'll be watching DOTA2 and playing SC2 D:

Don't forget constantly feeding the opposing team. Apparently feeding and having many more deaths than kills is how you're supposed to play support nowadays. Only carry heroes are supposed to have positive KDR.... lol

No. The first level of Morph gives 3 agility and 3 strength. Each subsequent upgrade increases the bonus by 1. So from a static damage/HP perspective, level 1 Morph is superior to level 1 Stats, but level 2 Morph and above are equal or inferior to equal levels of stats. If you're just using your Morph to fine-tune your stats for laning, then the rate of change doesn't matter and level 1 is enough. Again, this is in a scenario when you have plenty of time and space to farm without having to worry about ganks or lane pressure.

But you almost always want your morph skill to be maxed ASAP so you can change stats really quickly when getting ganked. Morphing into strength at 8/s compared to 2/s is often the difference between life and death.
