On a separate note, one big problem we are having that is affecting games is that often we get one captain tryharding with top tier heroes while the other captain is bored of them and wants to draft something fun/unique, even if it may not be top tier. This results in very skewed games where draft plays a bigger role than the players. That's fine and all at top tier Dota but this is an inhouse where people can get a taste of CM but also enjoy themselves and learn more about the game. My only idea right now to deal with this is to have an agreement between the captains prior to each game about whether they will be drafting a top-tier team or going with random themes/unique shit. This will hopefully avoid any disparities between the drafts. If both captains want different things then we'll call a vote of all the players. If anyone has any other suggestions then I'm glad to hear it. edit: By tryharding I am solely referring to the draft. Beyond the draft, I consider everything else fair play. Smokes, counter warding, roaming supports, etc are all simply good level play and should be encouraged. | ||
