Imagine a SC2 match where you know you lost. But you have to wait for your the opponent to destroy all your buildings first. That would be ridiculous. Obviously the team playing from behind needs to put in some degree of effort and not do an IdrA gg and all but you get the point.

Sure, it discourages comebacks and all, but a lot of times it is pretty obvious the skill difference and/or in-game advantage of one team over another that it makes no sense to drag on. It isn't enjoyable for the losing team, and inhouses are meant to be enjoyable. Imagine a SC2 match where you know you lost. People overestimate 'the skill difference' you mentioned way more often than you possibly imagine; that's why it sucks that they've just got their 'get out of presumed jail free card', epic games will only happen when you'll have old timers involved.

I hope by "old timers" you mean "those who fight till the end" and not implying something. Other than that I understand the concept of why one shouldn't prematurely gg obviously (in any game, not just dota and not just TLIH). I just think the pros of having a concede function in a game like this outweigh the pros. I agree it's annoying when one team goes 6-1 like nine minutes in and the other team just concedes when everyone's just level 8. But if it's 25-10 and the winning team hasn't lost a tower, it saves us a lot of time. There has got to be a balance somewhere. Likewise, just because it's annoying that some players in SC2 simply ggs when they lose an expansion and find themselves in a 2 base vs 3 base situation doesn't mean you have to wait till all your buildings are destroyed. Maybe only allow concedes after 25 minutes? I dunno. Anyway, this discussion probably doesn't belong here.

The most common arguments against conceding are that it results in fewer epic comeback games and that it may cause arguments when four people want to concede and gang up on the one that doesn't. I feel that within TLIH we have enough of a tight-knit community for these not to be problems. We can set aside some guidelines to avoid too many early GG's, and simply kick anyone that is too disruptive about calling for team concedes. Off the top of my head, here's an idea 1) Earliest a team can call a standard GG is at ~25 minutes 2) A game can be called over earlier if the opposing team all agree to it as well (this is to avoid situations where the game is incredibly lopsided to the point where the winning team is also bored) Thoughts?
