Rubick, after having had a fantastic game (e.g. stealing Blink and using it to catch the AM for his team), hands a nearly-dead OD the Cheese that swings the fight around. Around the 55:00 mark. A fantastic slow-burner of a game anyway!

So I chat briefly with my team about the gameplan. The other team has a good old 5-carry lineup but I'm fairly confident that getting farmed as Void will let me outcarry all of them. So I ask whether they want me to try to outcarry or get early items and we can finish fast with our stronger earlier/midgame lineup. One says to grab a midas and just go for it. Ok, cool. I start laning. Absolutely awesome support from Treant. He's hardly ever in the lane letting me absorb all the XP and farm. He pulls effectively, constantly drops living armor on me to heal and keep their Huskar off my back (was laning against Huskar/Riki). I get heavily levelled and really, really solid farm. Then we catch Riki out and kill him. Something like a 6-7 minute Midas, absolutely awesome. Timber and Silencer and punishing top heavily whilst Warlock starts getting his crucial items up in the mid. Ganks come onto me but do very little thanks to the vigilance of my Treant support. We take their offlane tower and I get a battlefury in about 15 minutes and go full on supercarry farm. The four guys on my team then band up and just start harrassing. Starting fights, baiting them in for me to get easy pickoffs. Pushing out lanes to threaten and kill towers. Letting me take the kills and just all round being awesome about ensuring I get as fed and levelled as safely as possible. I died twice the entire game. One of which was entirely my own silly fault. Won the game at the 45 minute mark with me just destroying their team. I've NEVER had such an easy time farming up than that game. Think its the best support I've ever had.

Thus I want to thank all true support players, who buy upgreade cur, who ward, who sacrifice in teamfights for the greater cause, whose kd's suck, whose item suck and who gets flamed dispite their sincere efford. You have my thanks (:

Lanes were myself and Bloodseeker top, Pudge mid, CK + Wisp bot. Our team did effectively no in game chat or voice chat the whole game but everyone knew exactly what to do. We had a few pings around to signify when to push or where to gank or when to engage, but even that was hardly used - everyone just worked off each other perfectly. Early in lane, every time I caught the enemy heroes out with a stun or got a Maledict on top of them in a good situation the Bloodseeker engaged straight away. I think I only pinged twice throughout the first 8 minutes, other than that I made sure he had an easy time farming, he worked off my set ups for kills, and we won our lane hard. At one point while warding I looked over to bot lane to see CK killing someone down there, but being caught too close to enemy tower. This prompted 3 TP reactions from the enemy team, and CK looked like a goner. Wisp tethered him straight away and took him back to base then let the CK go in preparation to come back in under enemy tower and die... except that in the mean time Pudge had been manoeuvring around, and as soon as Wisp re-appeared he hooked him to safety - again without any in game chat or pings or anything. Throughout the whole game the Wisp and myself kept wards bought out and carried around a load of sentries to 1) keep the entire map de-warded and 2) for the Drow with his Shadowblade. Buying out of the wards happened like clockwork each time - at one point after a team fight myself and the Wisp were both dead, and I was watching the wards come off cool down to buy them out immediately.. but the Wisp was clearly doing the same thing, he bought them before I could. Another time I moved bottom and was de-warding their Roshan ward when the Drow came and killed me... when I respawned and was moving back to that area, Wisp made sure to come with me so we could de-ward it together. Those are just a couple of things that happened through the game, and they may not be anything extraordinary, but you can get an idea for the vibe of it - the whole game was great. Everyone played their roles perfectly and we were always in control of the game, won comfortably at 45 minutes with our CK being far ahead. The only time ingame chat was used was for people to say 'wp' or at the end when I told the team that I was commending them. Love playing games like that with randoms, gives me faith in the general DotA2 community ![]()

I was a top lane Radiant Weaver, with a laning partner Spirit Breaker against a CK and Venomancer. We did pretty well in the laning stage, I got my Ring of Aquila and Treads up at a decent time for me, and our Mid Lion started wrecking face. Toward the mid game it really looked like we were gonna just stomp the Dire, but it didn't end up that way. The game lasted about 65 minutes, with both sides ending the game with 2 lanes of rax down. At one point, the Dire Pudge and CK were hacking away at our Throne and I was the only one alive so I HAD to do something. I really didn't expect to stay alive long, but I had to hope that I could hold them off until more of us respawned. But the Dire thought that they could out-DPS me and stayed focusing on the throne, giving me the chance to get a double-kill, which saved the game. I still thought we were gonna lose at that point, but we stuck it out, pushed out mid and that's when we took their t3 Mid tower. From that point on, it was a series of teamfights inside each other's bases. One team would push and overextend just a little, get held off, then the same would happen on the other side. It looked like the Dire's last push would win it for them, but somehow we held it, got a full teamwipe, and pushed up mid for the win. It was messy on both sides, but hell, it was FUN!

Yesterday I was playing WR support bot with farming LS. About 10-15 min into the game, our solo mid Warlock gets dived by 3 or 4 people. I tp instantly, together with Sand King, followed by a furion TP, and we turn the fight around, losing me(I was pretty much wardbitch) and killing 3 of them. As a side note, Magnus is quickly becoming my new favourite hero :D

That's my cup of tea! ![]() This happens every AP game. They want the extra 250G so they can rush a Ring of Health, as they're obviously just hoping to random AM, get Battlefury and just get the whole game their own way. They then think to themselves that randoming a hero is totally justified.
