First time installing hard drives in a proper PC, I've had a laptop for the last decade and its been a simple slot in process.
So, my laptop has an SSD, a HDD, and an m.2 SSD, and this PC doesnt have a hard drive dock like Ive seen, instead it appears to have this panel with screw holes in it on the side, that seems simple enough, screw the drives to the side and plug em in, my question is about the m.2 drive, I see where I think its supposed go but theres something covering the area,

what is this, and should I unscrew it?
According to the booklet for the motherboard that area is where the second m.2 slot is, but I have no idea what that is attached overtop.
And for some basic confirmation,

this is the panel I was referring to, it has markings that indicate its meant for hard drives and the screw holes match up with my 2.5" drives, so I just screw the drives in there and hook em up right?
