should i reduce from 30fps to 25fps and go below 720p? 720p @ 30fps with 600kbps bitrate will look nice while you're not doing anything, but the it will start to pixelate. I stream sometimes using my cell phones 4g connection ("unlimited data" -_-) and I can only do 480p at a stable rate with 1mb upload.

Along with a vod of my stream http://www.twitch.tv/flameling/b/324747631
I think it's possible to go up to 1088x612 resolution using this bandwidth, but I can't because my computer sucks too much x_x.

hmm, I just started using it, though It seems to randomly shut my stream off. Like FFsplit will still be using the processing power, but the stream won't be translating to twitch.

ive been testing 480 and 1088x612, i'm stable on 612 on xsplit but not ffsplit, rather than me i think its ffsplit, ill wait till they patch it again. Does higher fps mean more bitrate used? what would happen if i up the fps high

Is ffsplit compatible with hardware encoder of Avermedia Live Gamer HD?
|
is there a way to not have it drop randomly when your bitrate goes below what you have put in the upload section.
I had mine at 600 and after testing why it stopped streaming randomly, but my bitrate is always changing, somtimes its more, sometimes its less, but apperently that doesn't suit well for FFsplit.

i cant seem to stream, and i got this, how can i solve it?
|
Well, I just read through the whole thread before trying this. I can live without the cam support for the time being, but if this software is still dropping out regularly then it's basically dead to me. Nobody can host a stream and expect people to put up with it going dead. The viewers won't know what happened and they will leave; you'll never build a following and you'll have sunk all this time into a stream that just doesn't cut it for the simple standards that people have as a stream viewer. Standards which are being met by every other players stream, and which all the other software seems to deliver fine on.
That said, I'm off to try this out because the software sounds pretty great aside from that one glaring issue

Wow, thanks for the Guide, im going to set this up. Sounds like FPS is better with ffsplit, and the audio increase will be great! ty

Kami, I don't know how advanced you are with computers, but do you see any feasible way you could create a mac version of FFsplit?

How much upload speed do I need to stream with this program with acceptable quality without sacrificing performance in sc2?

Next version fixes the stream dying issues.

K so my report is that FFSplit is amazing and I'll probably use it forever. Completely smitten and they are developing it pretty rapidly. A lot of xsplit premium customers are about to feel their money wasted, methinks.

If you just want to click a few buttons and have a livestream, then sure, i guess you could view xsplit as being wasted money. For more advanced users though, not the case
