The latter used to have pretty bad performance, but the XSplit team has been improving it seriously these last weeks. Expect it to be released to the public soon. Note: GameSource is only available to subscribed users, so DXtory may still be viable for some in the future.

4GB RAM (7-7-7, 1348mhz) GTX 460 768mb Ping:55ms Download: 2.79mbs Upload: 0.72mbs I get all settings maxed out on 1280x768 resolution with 120+ fps. So I did everything stated in the videos, watched them all. When I stream, it lags. I guess you could say I could still 'play', but it's really too laggy to play competitively. When I lowered my quality from Ultra to Low, the exact same type of lag still existed and didn't change at all. My fps drops, and lag is really the best way to put it - I select a drone, I don't actually end up selecting it until a second later. Things just dont respond as sharply. I set all my settings as you recommended and did in the OP, and was wondering how to further tweak it for my low performance. The fps during a game drops to about 10, CPU load is around maybe 50-70 and the ram at around 80%. Maybe it's pushing the limits but it doesnt seem to be capping out.

Try creating a blank new Presentation - sometimes there's some "residual" scene items stock. You will be able to feel the difference if everything is setup right. If the input lag is still there afterwards, please check all the settings again, chances are you skipped something, ie. setting output to DirectShow only etc.

As of today, all personal or premium XSplit users can take advantage of the new and much improved GameSource feature in XSplit. It now supports an ever growing list of DX9, DX10 and DX11 fullscreen and windowed fullscreen games. Performance for Starcraft 2 has been particularly improved since earlier versions. Please try out v1.0.1201.0504 (link). In short: If you have already paid for XSplit, using GameSource could save you the cost of DXTory. Source: https://www.xsplit.com/whats_cooking.php?post_id=309&page_name=whats_cooking DXTory is still a great piece of software - I'm just updating you all that GameSource has been improved. ![]()

my machine specs: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), OC at 3.5 ghz Memory: 8192MB RAM Video Card Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2048MB DDR5 DP core clock 880 MHz memory speed 5500 MHz shader clock 1375) 2mbit upload (selected London Secondary as location from Xsplit channel settings). Tomorrow I am getting a i5 2500k cpu and a new z68 motherboard, that will hopefully improve performance. While playing SWTOR in warzones my fps sometimes drops to 25 which is dangerously close to the low limit imo. Try using the trial dxtory and see if you get better results. I know, the logo is annoying as hell but it's just a test, see if it's worth buying. I own both atm, Xsplit may improve even more their game source capturing thingy but, since I don't have fraps, dxtory is a nice addition. Gluck!. Edit:Streaming at 1280x720 resolution, playing at 1680x1050, while using XSplit game source fps drops to 15ish while in pvp/warzones. Using DXtory, 25ish to 30.

That's most likely because your game is in true fullscreen mode - try switching it to windowed fullscreen if it supports it. If it doesn't the only way to remove the flicker is to use the Gamesource feature in xsplit (supports fullscreen) or maybe try DXTory.

just for the record i followed destinys guide to fme and vhscreen and 1080p 25fps worked pretty well. even spawned like 200 creeps in hon just to test it out. i didnt bother with the sound since i was merely testing my system capabilities (brand new setup so wasn't sure what i could handle). result is here: http://www.justin.tv/dye44/b/305217247 i assume some minor tweaking will improve the clarity/pixels/blurry-ness (what causes this?) for some reason i get huge game lag when using dxtory + xsplit...just wondering what might be wrong??

Turning on DXTory shouldn't impact performance at all. Make sure you haven't activated compression in DXTory and uncheck "Record to file" too. Also make sure your video settings (resolution/fps) are set up right. In XSplit, create a fresh new presentation and only add DXTory (for the purpose of this test). This should do the trick. Blurryness and pixelation are most commonly due to too low bitrate or too fast a preset. If you want my input on your settings I need you to post them + your hardware specs. ![]()

Its gotta be something simple with dxtory. i followed the video exactly. the only difference I see is dxtory version 2.0.108 vs 2.0.104 (I'm using .108). even without my stream running, if i just open up a game and then have dxtory "record" my fps drops from like 150 to 30 (based upon the dxtory FPS monitor at the top left) and the game is unplayable. the second i turn off the recording (just using my hotkey) the game is flawless and playable again. something simple has gotta be screwed up within dxtory. starting a new presentation had no effect. i took a SS of every page in dxtory w/ my settings lol. open the spoiler to see (ive tried every codec format from low to true): + Show Spoiler + ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
