Should I be doing something else in order for it to show up in xsplit?
There are posts in the thread where people can't seem to start DXTory. Make sure you check those out first.
Otherwise go back and double check your setup - you probably skipped a step To be more to the point: Is the icon of DXtory in the notification bar spinning? Do you see FPS numbers in orange in the top left corner? On the first tab, is your game detected by DXTory?

I used the same settings for testing as Nepsilon first and then i tried a bit more like 800kb rate and a buffer of 1100 my Connection is capable of that here.. somehow even with switching the resolutions in Dxtory and Xvid i never get a crisp image.. and even other People get that with even lower connection speed so what do i do wrong actually ?

First rule of streaming is that one man's settings seldom transfers to another setup If you post your settings, we can look through them and maybe spot something.

Well makes sense so in DxTory ive got everythin untouched except the Resolutiojn of course.. so my Monitor allows me a max of 1920x1080 so i wrote that down there. My Xsplit is on Quality 10 VBMax Bitrate is on 800 and VBV Buffer is on 1100. My Audio Settings are 11.025 16 bit Stereo + 16000 Codec Mp3. i use 29,97 as Framrate in Xvid and the Resolution there is 1280 x 720 / 16 .

Hmm, having a problem where it only shows the dxtory menu in my xsplit, but not the game i'm trying to stream. Any idea on how to fix this?

You should lower the FPS to 20 or 25 to be able to get better quality for each frame on that bitrate. What do you mean by "i wrote that down there"? Finally what CPU do you have? If it's strong enough you can do something with the preset to improve quality/lessen the blurry-ness.

You're seeing the dxtory menu in XSplit?? O.o Can you post a screen shot of what you mean? Which game are you trying to stream?

What i mean is, in my Xsplit preview screen I only see the dxtory menu where you configure settings. It doesn't show the game I'm trying to stream, just the dxtory menu. I've tried many games, including Sc2 and HoN. Same issue with both games. But, it is recording ingame to my hard drives properly, and the target is found and the game is selected, so I'm not sure what's going on

@delchuu Try setting the preset to medium - you have a great cpu. This will allow for the x264 codec to use more calculations and thus produce a better image per frame and potentially lessen the bitrate needed to show the stream. Try that, and re-post a new VOD.

Awesome, worked. Thanks

Well its better as before but still so blurry somehow... changed to medium recording through xtory with 30 fps and with xvid 20 fps D:

Alright @Hell http://www.twitch.tv/delchuu/b/306007499 that is my last stand its like Quality 10 , Medium 800kb , buffer 1100 fps are 20 if im not wrong dxtory is 30 fps 1920x1080 and xvid 1280x720 i turned also just mono instead of stereo by sounds settings it helped pretty much.. anything else i could do ? D:

I'm getting fps drops when using Dxtory, soon as the broadcast starts. Its most notable with SF4, but happens with others as well
Any hints?

Using mono shouldn't have an impact on quality - it's the same bitrate used. Are you sure that it wasn't a placebo effect?

Any hints? Just to be sure here: FPS drops are common (to be expected) in streaming - are you saying that you can maintain your FPS when not using DXTory and streaming?

I mean, my drops are not not bad 60 down to 55 or 50 in other games. But often sub 30 in sf4
