Thanks! Yes. If you want more performance over clock your overclockable cpu with your overpriced overclockable motherboard...

To back this up btw - I did more testing with my CPU (which is above average, so anyone reading might not have the same figures)
4.2ghz, 1.07v and 4.4ghz, 1.13v both passed 24hours prime95 custom blend with error checking and rounding at increased priority
4.5ghz passed 50 runs IBT max RAM at 1.17v
4.6ghz seems pretty solid at 1.2v
4.7, 4.8ghz seem good under IBT at ~1.24, 1.27-1.29v
Then the massive voltage cliff arrives.
4.6ghz is stable at 1.2v - 4.8 will boot at 1.2v but not pass stress testing - adding 200mhz from there require an additional 0.15v just to boot.
So in terms of costs per 200mhz stable.. We are looking at ~ 0.06v / 0.07v / 0.08v / 0.15-0.2v+. Voltage close to linear, slight curve and then CLIFF. Ivy Bridge is a cruel mistress. Many or even most of them hit this cliff at something like 4.5 or 4.6ghz - i was lucky to be completely fine til 4.7-4.8, so that will run at a really great voltage, and because the cliff comes later on, i could probably 5.0 at 1.45, but it's kinda impossible without either delidding CPU (cuts temperatures by about 20-25c due to manufacturing problem) or custom water to bruteforce temperatures down. I cant test it, it could be stable at 1.4, it could take 1.6+ - all i can say for certain is that my other voltages are good.
Belial is running 5ghz at a touch under 1.5v right now, says he got ~23c better temps from delid, yet his Awesome setup runs at max temps around 87c so it's certainly doable but tricky if you are not insane

My 3770k voltage cliffed out at 4.7 for what it's worth.

I see to be completely fine til the >4.8 step, i didnt test 4.9 like an idiot but 5 was.. ugh

What vcore do you need for 4.6 or 4.7? (depending on where you cliff) I'm curious (:

I forget what 4.5 was, but it was a very slight jump for 4.6. 1.28 for 4.6, 1.33 for 4.7, but then I'm maxed out thermally (I cut off the test when it hit 100C). I know there are some other things you can tweak at this point, but I haven't explored them (I'm still a novice at OCing).
I've just been using the 4.6 (burn tests maxed out at 89C, max load under gaming + streaming 61C). I remounted my heatsink last week to see if that'd do anything, but I got the same temps within 1C.

Hey,
Recently I've been having trouble with Google Chrome, specifically its Google search feature. All other services such as Gmail work. I've found a temporary solution in the form of using CCleaner to clean everything related to Google Chrome. After using CCleaner, it will work until I restart my PC. Then it will stop working again.
It also says this, when I use the search feature: Error 15 (net::ERR_SOCKET_NOT_CONNECTED): Unknown error.

Twitch.tv is randomly deleting my videos! I am new to streaming and had at least ten videos and now I'm down to six. I don't know where the videos went but these are important to many. Any advice on this matter would be great!

My motherboard is not overpriced...got it for 200$...and it was free shipping for entire order which saved me an extra 30$

I think Twitch.TV automatically deletes videos unless you tell it to keep them:

Anyone got idea why Hots keeps freezing. What i mean by that, then the game starts everything freezes for like 2 seconds and then catches up. That happens several times per game, and it's more like a pc freeze, but i have plently of ram left, etc.

Is game time freezing (can you still move the mouse around and select units) or entire game locking up?
If its the first, then network issues (a few dropped packets or a latency spike can do that) but if its the second then some other issue, if it's related to loading the game and caching everything (because sc2 does not load properly to cut times in load screens..) then it should minimize or go away with more playing (as you have already loaded more units, effects etc)

I am gonna confirm time and mouse so we know for sure But I think they both freeze, and then after unfreeze time just catches up. If you are saying it's latency, then why that always happens as soon as game starts; i can only make my first drone after 2 seconds.
Also on a similar note, when opponent lags in SC2, then you get the message bos of him lagging and game just pauses. But in my case it's only frozen on my screen, and as soon as it's unfreezes, everything moves super fast to catch up for that time.

There is very rarely any reason to spend over $120 on a motherboard for 1 or 2 graphics cards, and if you do need to, you'd know why.

The "fast foward effect" that you see is typically an indicator of network lag. Packets with updates to the game state haven't been received for a little while and when they come through, the client runs through them as quickly as possible so that game state catches up.

Hi to all
I found an offer for some used parts because i don't have the money to buy a new computer right now.
The parts are, i7-860 processor, intel dp55wb motherboard, GTS 450 graphics card and 4gb of memory
All of them are used for a year by a friend and i can buy them for 180 euros. Here you can find detailed information about the parts gathered from speccy http://imgur.com/a/NUEc3
What do you think about the offer? i have no idea and i don't want to get ripped off. Thanks in advance for your time

When you hold over the menu button in game in sc2 you get some information like:
Wireless signal: Very good Framerate: 60 fps X resource stalls for Yms in the last minute (X and Y is different numbers)
Can anyone tell me what the last part means and how you can interpret it? Last time I checked it was something like "14 resource stalls in 64ms in the last minute." Is that good, bad or useless information? I'm obviously playing on a wireless connection.

It means your game was stalled (frozen) X times, totalling to Yms (milliseconds) of being frozen while waiting for resources (loading something to RAM, for example)

Does anyone have any clue as to what will happen with the prices of i5/7 Ivy Bridge CPU:s and 1155 motherboards when Haswell and 1150 hits the market? What usually happens with existing Intel products when a new architecture gets released? I tried using Google to find an answer but I haven't found anything of worth.
