Anyone had issues like that and know how to fix them? Both, the Xai and the Orochi, are bad on cloth pads. The Xai, because it uses an "old version" of the 9500 laser sensor, which cannot cope with the cloth surface (the result: random acceleration and low malfunction speed rates). The Orochi, because it's sensor, the PTE (Philips Twin Eye) jumps every time your press a mouse button, unless you do have a very hard mouse pad or a very low sensitivity (z-axis bug). Also: Razer screws the actually not so bad PTE up by implementing "dynamic DPI scaling" into their firmware (the result: extremely noticeable acceleration).

So I guess a hardpad would solve my problems?

so i just received my kana, the only downside to the mouse is that its super light so whenever i drag a box in sc2 the mouse keeps lifting off my pad, its super annoying
does anyone know of any good mouse feet that would help reduce this problem?
edit: and the side buttons sides are EXTREMELY annoying, my finger always hits it and theres a holde between the button and the area where ur supposed to rest ur thumb on

Sure, the gliding is better at first, but only for a couple of months (depending on how much you play). That is why most players use cloth pads nowadays ...

Ouch, that sounds pretty horrible, did you try lowering dpi and applying more downward force onto the mouse in general? I cant really see a change of the feet fixing problem. If you cant change sens or the way you hold the mouse i think you are pretty screwed there.
Disable side buttons? I cant really understand how they work looking at pictures. Do you need them?

Is there any way to set up DPI or sensitivity change on a Razer Deathadder so i can hit a button and change during gameplay? Setting a specific DPI to a button makes the mouse stop tracking for some 0.5-1 sec after pressing it, and the on the fly sensitivity thing requires you to scroll up/down a specific number of times, making both unacessible. I was looking for something to hit when i need to do a 180 degree turn in Tribes Ascend, because i wanted to lower my ingame sensitivity further for playing with the Sentinel and it is not practical to do fast turns then as i already have to lift my mouse off qck+ more than once to do a 180 at 450dpi with 4 ingame sens. I know using sensitivity in driver instead of just DPI to change the speed mouse cursor moves is suboptimal, but i cant really change in-game sens, as it requires going into a menu and typing the sens number.
I was thinking of macroing mouse 4 and 5 to an autohotkey script for on-the-fly sensitivity, but im not sure if that would work out with the extra mouse buttons or if there is an easier way of doing things.

Anyone want to recommend me a mouse? I'm currently using a lachesis and the sensor always act up when I'm playing starcraft 2. To fix it, I have to rub my finger on the sensor for it to work properly again. I'm looking for another mouse that's around $50 dollars range and a little bit smaller than the lachesis (it was kinda too big for my hand). The DPI I'm currently using is around 1500 so a new mouse doesn't need any crazy DPI settings. I just need a comfortable mouse for cheap.

Deathadder is one of the very very few mice that work decently without any major flaws. You can use palm or claw grip and it has options for 450/900/1800/3500dpi. I would reccomend it, got one finally last week after messing around with steelseries stuff for a while and being bothered by accel etc. I have not had any problems with it aside from a slight downward glide that seems to happen when you pass maximum rated speed on cloth pad, though i dont hit that during general gameplay even at 450dpi so it shouldnt be an issue.
Grip is good, one of the best sensors on the market, has 2 extra buttons on the left side of mouse that wont get in the way but are there if you need them, not much else to say about it. The shape is a little decieving, feels a bit different than it looks especially with the dips in mouse 1 and 2 buttons where your fingers rest, but its not really a problem at all. Medium-ish sized.

I had the same problem with my Zowie Mico, it is super light and buttons are hard to press. I prefer the CM Storm Spawn has a better weight and require less force to press the switches, but the shape is not ambidextrous.
I'm trying out the Kinzu v2pro at the moment, similar weight to the kana, but without side buttons, teflon feet and omron switches that require less force.

no im accidentally lifting the mouse because its too light, the mouse doesnt stick on my mousepad like the xai does(had the same problem with the g100)
could be that too because i usually lay my thumb where the sidebutton which helps me to apply downward pressure on the mouse

Updates:
Okay, all the mice listed in the OP should now have full specs and pics. If anything is missing or incorrect or any links are broken let me know. I would like all the pics to have a maximum width of no bigger than 640, if you find any that I forgot to edit down please let me know.
Also, I have removed the Logitech M100 listing and review from the OP. I really want the OP to focus on higher end gaming mice, if I start listing all the mice that everyone loves, the OP is going to have 100 mice on it. It just doesn't make sense to have a list of 30 or so expensive high end devices and then a $10 cheapo mouse. My plan is at some point to make a separate post in this thread with much of that information then link it in the OP. From here forward the stuff getting listed in the OP will only be devices that are from the gaming line of device manufactureres, or high end mice that are not discontinued. The separate listing of lower end mice will happen eventually.
Naos 5000 and R.A.T. 7 are also listed now. There's a lot of good feedback on the last few pages that I haven't gone through yet, so I will list some of that in the OP as well.
The current things I'm planning for this thread are: an actual purchacing guide that lists and organizes different features, a complete write-up for the tecnical guides section, and further decluttering/organizing of the OP.

What's the problem with the mouse feet, are you having problems with the crappy plastic feet? I ordered Corepad Skatez.

Previously I was using abyssus and I find it very comferable using it as i'm using finger/claw grip. However due my right button spoiled I decide to change it to G9X as I thought it will feel Abyssus. I was quite wrong the feel on 9GX and Abyssus is totally different, even though it designed for finger/claw griper.
I think the key different between the 2 mouse is their weight, G9X is too heavy and I felt really uncomfortable. I currently trying to play more "mouse precise game" e.g OSU & AIM400KG to improve my feel on the mouse. Do anyone shares the same experience with me?

I find the Spawn too heavy. Once you're used to a light mouse (your MiCO for example, which weighs only 68 g), the 86 g of the Spawn seem just so heavy (I won't even get started on the 109 g of the Deathadder ;P). When exactly do your "lift off problems" occur? How do you grip your mouse?

Going from a light mouse to a heavy mouse really makes you notice, how much low weight matters. Try gaming Exact Aiming Unlimited (http://aim400kg.ru/en/) for half an hour with the 156 g the G9x weighs using a fingertip grip ...

Hey guys, after playing a few games yesterday I noticed the muscle between my thumb and index finger started to hurt, and it got worse later on. I could still feel it this morning.
My mouse: http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/for-business/products/mice-presentation-devices/devices/5853
My hands aren't that big but my fingers are really long. Using the mouse was never really comfortable because of that, but I never really payed attention to it untill yesterday.
Are there any mice you guys would recommend? I feel like I should do something asap before the pain gets worse.
