fixed

Hard to follow fast and long cross-screen sliders at some angles with lower DPI, i might play Osu in a window since 500dpi @1920x1080 is maybe low enough to negatively affect performance against such demanding games

This is super interesting (for all mice)

it's mouse click latency, i remembered xornet was super low - i gotta check what firmware it shipped with and try a few others, i think one of the main drawbacks of changing with a few of these mice was LOD being increased with max perfect control speeds etc, but i don't mind that.

14ms is a massive amount of latency to be adding to a mouse click from a firmware change

negative time for mouse click latency? Nvm it's normalized to the G300. The title pretty much being "reaction time in respect to the G300". Which I assume means logitech's G300. In turn means the total reaction time is even greater than 14ms. Which is why a diamondback mouse at 125Hz can have a time under 8ms.

Which is not all that unusual when you think about it. Most people notice the input lag in touch screens because your finger is directly over it. It's not that touchscreens are exceptionally slow in registering input it's that if you layed your mouse on top of your monitor you'd notice the lag as well, it's a bit easier when it's directly in sight for you to see it.

The only touchscreens i have used had like 3x+ the input lag of my monitor, though

If you mean you can't find it anymore... it's gone! They don't sell it anymore. I heard Corsair M45 suggested as a replacement. It seems like gripping it would be pretty similar to G9x with it's normal shell grip installed.

People didn't think the older M40's sensor was good and that was replaced in the newer M45. I don't know if there are issues with the M45 sensor. It's optical so it might want a different mouse pad than what you had for your G9x.

not sure if this should go here or tech support, but my mouse all of a sudden decided it wanted me to press harder on the left click. Should I automatically assume it's broken or maybe it just needs a cleaning? It's a Ttesports Theron, first generation

Hi, am considering getting a new mouse, finally came down to the kana v2 and the g9x. Here are my pros/cons for choosing both of them:
G9x:
1. Less reliable sensor
2. Most pros use them :p
3. Slightly cheaper

Kana v2:
1. Superior sensor
2. Slightly more expensive
3. Will be able to RMA if anything happens

I know the logical choice is to pick the kana v2, but if I am about to invest so much in a mouse, might as well get something that makes me feel good right?

Would like to have you guys thoughts on it, thanks

Depends on what you define by "making you feel good". If you're gonna feel like you should have bought the g9x just because sc2 pros use it, well go ahead and buy it. The sensor flaws are definitely noticeable (I tried one and it feels kind of inconsistent even after little time using it), but the shape is cool, it's very small and perfect for fingertip grip.
The kana on the other hand is shaped after the old intellimouse 1.1 that was used by a lot of FPS pros, so it's definitely very good too. You should try them if you can, or decide based on the way you grip your mouse and the size of your hands.
I'd go with the kana if I were you, if you ever want to play FPS seriously the g9x would be kind of meh because you pretty much can't palm it at all unless you have very small hands, while the kana has a very polyvalent and simple shape.

Its slightly cheaper from where I am from. Yeah, I would too, but I'll be shipping it from another country, hence the worry :/

Well, I don't wanna get the kana and go like "man I should've YOLO-ed and went for the G9x" despite having the better mouse. Are the flaws noticeable across all DPI ranges? I play at 800.
I do play FPS but very casually with friends, I guess its something I don't mind losing out on. Thanks for the advice though!

I play at 800dpi too and had a sensei, a G9x and now a CM storm spawn, and yeah you definitely notice that sometimes the cursor overshoots on some movements with the laser mice. It's hard to be sure whether you miss because of the accel or because you suck, but I feel like my spawn is way more consistent at the same DPI.
Lots of people do fine with the g9x though, so if you really want to go full fanboy (I don't mean it in an offensive way, it's something I felt for a time too ) and buy it, why not. But I really think the kana would be better overall, as the shape is really great too. You should see if you can try a kana or a 1.1 from a friend's or a shop, to see if you like the shape.

higher range of movement speeds used = more noticeable. At a very high dpi like 2-3k on 1920x1080, you tend to use only very slow, like wrist-controlled movements, so there's less variance.

They track too far or not far enough depending on how fast you are moving, on an oscillating pattern which averages out to being like ~1.05x too fast IIRC

Ah I see, well thats not exactly that ideal, how'd it fair in SC2?
Haha, its okay, I'll probably look more like a wannabe to my friends for using a mouse with orange LED's :p
Yeah, the kana is pretty much sold everywhere over here, that wont be a problem.
Thanks!

Hm, so it means that lets say I move the mouse at 20m/s, it will register at 21m/s? What about clicking small objects(marines, WM etc)?
Thank you
