Logitechs new G502 is the shape is usable might be the mouse for me considering the sensor so far is considered great at higher dpi. The harsh reality is that the G9x shape is so perfect for me that i rather have inaccuracies than be uncomfortable trying to move a larger mouse with my fingertips.

Take a look at the two comparison pictures this guy here posted about G9x and Corsair M45:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1479217/new-logitech-g502-proteus-core/50#post_22075148

The mouse uses the rather new 3310 sensor that's probably strongly related to the sensor in the new G502 (part numbers are PMW3310 vs. PMW3366).

Basically looking like the mouse i'll use once my G9x dies.

I play at about 1100 DPI on Starcraft II most of the time.

DA is very hard to claw, because the only grip you can get is on the top of the mouse, as the sides are slippery plastic, and the right side is shaped in a way that prevents you from getting leverage over the mouse from that direction unless you are palm gripping~

The EVGA Torq x10 looks like a promising claw grip mouse for those who are in need of side buttons and extraneous functions.

Or a CM Storm Spawn.

I disagree.

The sides of the DA2013 are rubberized, not plastic - they provide as much grip as you get.

While it is true that DA is suited for palm gripping, individuals with medium to large hands will be able to claw grip it. My hands are 19.5cm at its longest and I use a palm-claw grip which I am very comfortable with

Sure, that'll be great! Shoot me a PM or just reply here, whichever is more convenient for you.

So it arrived early this morning and I was able to play a bit.
It´s just the best mouse I´ve ever had, and I had a lot:

Logitech Dual Optical MouseMan
Razer Diamondback
Logitech G5
Some Steelseries MMO-Gaming Mouse (dont know the name anymore)
Razer Naga
Roccat Kone Pure (my 2nd favorite and last one)

It comes with 2 different cases you can switch. I definitely recommend the grip one.
The settings-optional are quite normal I would say, nothing fancy but all you need. You can turn off the G9x acceleration btw, but you need to install the software it comes with.

The best things are:

+ Grip
+ Weight adjustment (!)
+ ideal for fingertip use (dont know about other, I just cant handle a mouse with other holding styles)
+ precision

I only played like 8 games but it feels like I can micro better because its much more easier to click single and small units like marines or widow mines. I totally understand why most pros use it.

If you need more information just ask, thats all I got after have it for just 2 or 3 hours and I´m totally hyped

Ah, good to know that you are enjoying it
Did you experience any sort of noticeable acceleration? (all laser mice have it from what I've read, its a hardware thing)
Not to be skeptical, but I am a bit worried it might be the "honeymoon effect", do you mind if I PM you again in 1-2 weeks to when you finally settled down with the mouse?
Thank you so much and have fun with the mouse!

Sure, pm whenever you want
I haven´t noticed any acceleration yet. MouseMovementRecorder displays a 1:1 movementratio all the time and I dont feel any either, but I surely keep an eye on it.

Thanks for making me test out MouseMovementRecorder, SonGoku I'm still trying to work out whether it's worth getting a new mouse apart from the joy that i'll get from it, if it would bring me any quality.

Right now I use a Sensei and I got these results with MMR:

and
[image loading]

Over short speeds this doesn't happen but it happens like once every 20 lines and more as you can see on the pictures I linked. Should I be worried? Or does pretty much every mouse have this kind of small acceleration issues?

Those red or green highlighted lines are so rare for me that I can't manage to catch them in a screenshot. I definitely never see anything like what you show in the first screenshot. It's only ever two lines like that. Is this maybe not the fault of the mouse and instead something caused by Windows and only for this program?

My current mouse is a Steelseries Kana V2.

EDIT:

I increased the terminal window's buffer size and managed to catch those issues that are getting reported. They generally seem to look like this, a sudden drop in Hz and large pixel numbers:

Those red and green lines will show up when you reach the edge of the screen, also in windows vista and above it will show up when aero is enabled and you cross over the edge of a window.

yes this is to be expected in a sensor that has variable issues. People tend to forget that surface plays a huge role in how a sensor performs. I have been recently reminded how much that's the case.

1) dont touch the edge of the screen
2) set windows mouse speed to 6/11

Now there shouldnt be any of green/red bars if you have a decent mouse. Its also recommended that you set your frequency (hz) to 500. Higher rates mostly never get reached constantly.

e.g. with the G9x and Kone pure I dont have/never had red/green bars shown

Now that I thought a little about what that program does, I don't think the screenshots are a sign of anything wrong with the mouse. It's purely Windows being slow to update the mouse pointer's position for some reason. The numbers in the first column don't look much different to their neighbours so I'm guessing the mouse correctly recorded whatever smooth movement you did with your hand and sent all the numbers at 1000Hz.

If you want to test issues with acceleration, you can test with the method used in this video here (first move fast to the side, then slowly go back to your start position and see if it hits the exact same spot or not):

Okay, so I use a Razer Goliathus speed edition (long mat), I have windows on 6/11 and I didn't touch any borders. I think I'll try that on some CS:GO, thanks.

I disagree.

The sides of the DA2013 are rubberized, not plastic - they provide as much grip as you get.

2013 has small rubber grips, they don't help all grip styles and there are way better mice out there for 800dpi clawing

The best things are:

+ precision

Precision, by definition:

In the fields of science, engineering, industry, and statistics, the accuracy of a measurement system is the degree of closeness of measurements of a quantity to that quantity's actual (true) value.[1] The precision of a measurement system, related to reproducibility and repeatability, is the degree to which repeated measurements under unchanged conditions show the same results.

This is by far the weakest point of the 9500 and the most obvious reason for choosing another sensor over it

Considering using 5/11 for xornet on 1k dpi for 750, any thoughts?

5/11 feels a bit suspicious to me when testing it in Paint. I guess you should just try it out in some actual use like your Osu stuff?

5/11 is a 75% factor and I don't know what Windows does to apply that to the actual coordinates the mouse is sending. What does it do when the mouse sends a bunch of +2 coordinates for example? 50% of those should stay +2 and 50% should be turned into +1. I wonder if the guy that wrote the code wanted to do things perfect or not.
