It should take care of the problem. www.malwarebytes.org/ You may need to usb the installer to your sisters computer Or check out this thread www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=67148 He said the virus blocks executables, so.... Rename the installer's extension to .pif, .scr, or .com before running (i'm not 100% sure about this step). If MBAM doesn't run after installation, rename the MBAM main program's extension as well.

First thing I would do is try to run some anti-virus and anti-malware/spyware software on the computer. A LOT of viruses/malware nowadays block you from installing these programs so if it you can't install it, try booting into safe mode and installing it via a flash drive. AVG has a free anti virus program and I used to use super anti-spyware and combofix. Sometimes even if you "remove" a virus, it just re-infest the next time you boot up. If nothing works, then a format/reinstall will work. You can also use the laptop's recovery disc to restore your computer to its factory default settings but note that this will wipe the hard drive. make sure you backup the important files onto a flash/external hard drive before you do anything. Depending on how infested the lappy is, a format/reinstall is probably the easiest/lazy way to fix everything.

To OP, make sure you start windows in safemode Ever since I switched from Norton to Avast and IE to chrome I haven't gotten malware yet =D.

This approach might take longer than reinstalling windows.

I did something similar to this to fix the problem my brother had with his laptop, which sounds like the exact same symptoms as yours. 1. DL malwarebytes on another computer 2. Throw it on a jumpdrive 3. Boot in safe mode 4. end processes for anything suspicious/unnecessary 5. Install + run malwarebytes That's what I did to fix it on his computer.

Right click on the C: drive? please explain... it's F8 before the windows logo comes up to get into safe mode as for formatting it's more complicated than right click c: edit: when people refer to formatting they mean wiping that drive of everything so try to make a backup up of important files before you do it. also if you are going ahead with formatting make sure you have a way to install windows (look for recovery disc that came with your laptop). after format your computer is going to be empty of any files as if you just bought the laptop.

How do I format.. my sister is a fucking fuck nut, I've had my computer for 9 years and I've only gotten 3 viruses and hacked once, not something as intense as the shit that attacked her laptop. Seriously, denial of any .exe? Ridiculous, my sister much be watching more ad-infested porn than I am.

2) Turn your sister's computer in safe mode (hold F8 before the windows mode) 3) Plug in the flash drive and install malwarebytes 4) Run malwarebytes full scan 5) After it is complete, restart the computer in normal mode and see if it worked (It should)

Make sure you install a proper antivirus ~ Avast and a proper firewall ~ Zonealarm free firewall and make sure you install antimalware ~ malwarebytes, after you've removed the virus. For additional help visit www.bleepingcomputer.com
