Hopefully i will catch next months shipment before they sell out for the holidays.I was lucky enough to get one in their shipment this month. Well, the 6gv2 uses brown cherry switches so the pressure required to press them down is a bit more. Some players find blacks tire their hands out. I am currently using the Majestouch with the brown switches and it seems VERY solid. It could survive a nuke it feels so solid.

Filco black switches are pretty much the same as 6gv2 with the only difference being appearance and layout.

So really, I think you are asking about the differences between brown and black switches. Filco black switches are pretty much the same as 6gv2 with the only difference being appearance and layout. And the price. I've seen the Steelseries 6GV2 down to $75 at NCIX and MemoryExpress before, while the Filco can go up to $140 including shipping and taxes.

I broke so many keycaps, and it was costing me so much to get replacements, that I ended up buying a keyboard with topre capacitative switches instead. Which IMO are much more solid that cherry switches. How did you break them :o

People who break keyboards will always find ways to break them, lasting 10 times longer means crap when you treat them like crap. I have old membrane keyboards that work just fine that i've used for years for various reasons, because i protect and clean, ie maintain them.

Headphones break, mice break, and mouse pads wear out but this thing is a beast. I could use this keyboard to hammer in a nail (but i won't ) and nothing would happen to it. But we demand a YouTube video of it, my good sir!

Also, if you're not used to mechanical keyboards, it feels weird to type on first, but you get used to it. The first few days I used to constantly bottom out my keys. Now, not so much. And I dont understand how someone can break the keycaps on this thing. I used a $15 media Logitech keyboard for about 7 years and I *NEVER* broke a single keycap on that thing. Only time I broke a keycap was one I accidentally dropped a heavy book on my open laptop, breaking off a key. Then again those are scissor keys... which are pretty fragile.
