Since he's not using an n-key rollover model, the silver logo would be pretty easy to see, but I didn't catch a single glimpse of it. Someone should just ask him what keyboard he uses when he wins his RO64 match, haha.
He could just cover it in tape... or it may be removable. I'm not sure which. I haven't tried removing the Filco logo from my keyboards.

I was being facetious. Anyhow, the ABS M1 was made by Costar of Taiwan, who also is the ODM for the Filco & DAS keyboards. Having the LED layout be the same on the M1 makes sense as they have the same body (although the Filco uses the CST-104 and the ABS M1 used the CST-105A).

Mm, that's true. Just seems a bit odd since he did no such thing in the first GSL when all of this was brought about.
I figured as much. I clearly don't know as much about the manufacturers as you do, but unfortunately that doesn't really help us narrow anything down anyway. FD needs some more time in the spotlight so we could figure this out much easier.

Sponsors don't like it when people notice that you're using a competitor's gear. If my theory is correct and he covered it up it would most likely be due to all of the attention his brand of keyboard got on here and elsewhere.

All the TSL players are now using a new keyboard from their sponsor SkyDigital/nKeyboard. It is the SkyDigital nKeyboard Mechanic. It also features CherryMX Blue/Brown/Black switches. I guess in many ways its a FILCO Majestouch imitation/copy made by their sponsors.

The patent description on the SkyKeyboard Nkeyboard page says the patent is on a low cost way to achieve N-key with membranes. http://en.skyok.co.kr/product.php?code=605
I'm not saying that you're wrong; perhaps they have another similarly named keyboard. Can you provide a source link though? I don't see it listed under the input devices section of Sky Digital's website.

Looks like a match. Large enter key, no logo in the upper right, logo/writing above arrow keys.

Newegg.ca is having a $20 off sale on select Rosewill products; I just checked and the mechanical keyboard is one of them. So the price is now 80$ plus shipping for canadian customers.

Looks like they finally got more mechanical keyboards on stock. :D

No. The switches last ten times longer. The keycaps are very fragile because of the way the connectors are shaped and how thin they are. This is not good when you are constantly taking it with you to lans and whatnot. This is why companies sell after-market dual-injection molded keycaps for cherry switch keyboards, but rarely (if any) topre capacitive ones.
TOPRE capacitive switches have a round connector rather than a 'plus' sign connector like the cherries, which is physically more robust.
I would suspect cherry keycaps to be the weakest of the lot just by looking at them, I have never broken keycaps on any other keyboard, including rubber dome ones.
If you look at the thinnest part of the keycap where the switch slots into, you will see why they are so easy to break, that part is paper thin and they always break there.

I've never heard of anyone actually breaking a keycap except in extreme cases of abuse, e.g. a hatchet. I've never seen a picture of a broken keycap.

Interesting thread on geekhack, a store called PCHome in Taiwan is doing a promo where international shipping is $20.
They have filcos, duckys, etc and they ship anywhere. I really wish I could justify buying another keyboard, I would hop on a tenkeyless Ducky for $75 so fast. Here's the thread

Does anyone know where I can get the filco wrist rest without going to the keyboard company because shipping is very expensive there.

How does the Black Widow compare to the Filco Keyboard? On this website Razer also compares their board to other mechanical boards and (obviously) claim theirs is better.

lol at linking to razer's own website...
go to geekhack to see the problems with the black widow and see if you'd like it (its not a perfect keyboard, but depending on how you use it, the problems it has may be non-important to you)

I've seen people who have "broken" the switch itself by being far to vigorous (on purpose for testing) when taking the keycaps off Cherry based keyboards. However, because the switches are so well made, they were able to put it back together with a little effort. I have never seen a broken keycap.
I'm sure the topre keycaps are slightly more sturdy but honestly it's nothing anyone should worry about.

The only thing different is that it's prettier. It's also just a rip of another keyboard they just replaced the switch with mechanical ones and tacked on a razer logo

Does anyone know of a good wrist rest to go with the Filco Majestouch?
