You can clearly see his keyboard at 11:51 in this video. It's probably a keyboard that one of his sponsors gave him. Filco's are still damn good keyboards though, so anyone who bought one because of him shouldn't feel bad.

I'd also like to known this: every Tenkeyless except for the ones with the browns is in stock.

I think it might at least be a type of equivalent since I'm seeing the same blue LEDs. Seems strange that he would switch.

Seems strange that he would switch. Hard to tell at the distance and angle, but the Font looks like the Filco font to me. And the blue LEDs are there... I would guess that he is still using the Filco but was asked to remove/obscure the Filco branding (easy with black tape) and put a sponsor's sticker on it (I'm guessing that's what is above the arrow keys). It makes sense. I saw a humorous picture once of a player using a Microsoft Intellimouse (optical, beige) with a huge Steelseries logo slapped over it. Sponsors will generally let you use the equipment you can win with but if it's a competitor you can bet they'll want you to have their branding instead. If you won't give up the keyboard/mouse/whatever, stickers work nicely.

Finally got a call from Brian at Elite Keyboards on Friday morning. Seems he has been in Asia all week trying to figure out some supply issues. I managed to get my order in during the November 10th shipping and he didn't mention when the next shipment would be, but it seems like he is pretty darn busy right now.

Some of our European brethren have mentioned being able to get a different layout somewhere. There's always a chance that some of that was talk about the Cherry keyboard that is made by the same manufacturer, though. And I was so sad to see the browns get taken off the site! I hope he puts it back on soon so that my order can go through!

As absolutionsc said, that keyboard has a large enter key which Filcos don't have. There's also some kind of printing above the arrow keys (though that looks like it's just a sticker), and the Filco logo at the top right seems to be missing. He's probably using something else. Oh, and Filcos aren't the only keyboards in the world with blue leds.

As I was saying the logo may have been covered. Point taken about the enter key shape. On November 22 2010 08:43 mrflakes wrote: Oh, and Filcos aren't the only keyboards in the world with blue leds. You know, I was so sure that Diatec had a patent on blue LEDs...

The ABS M1 I'm using definitely has blue LEDs as well. Lawsuit inc? Edit: Perhaps the patent is for the two LED layout, rather than the traditional 3?

Filco definitely has Japanese layout keyboards, which has an even goofier enter key. But I cannot imagine they don't have a Korean or European layout with the backwards L-shaped enter key. It may not be a Filco, but I think the backwards L-shaped enter key alone is not sufficient evidence.

I know they have no reason to, seeing as how they're an NA distributor, but it would be nice. I do a good bit of typing to some of my friends in Japan, and although the Japanese IME is sufficient, it'd be nice to try the Japanese key layout.
