One thing I can't figure out:
I own a Razer Lycosa and compared to that keyboard how would compare the sound of a Filco with brown switches?
I tried listening to a razer through youtube but that didn't help.

It didn't feel accurate to compare the sound of razer "in real life" with a youtube clip/sound of a Filco. So I thought if I can compare a recorded sound of razer vs recorded sound of Filco I'd get a better comparison. But people in different youtube vids have different settings/mics and all so I couldn't get a feeling at all. Couldn't find a video where the user compares lycosa vs filco

And that's for private, if you order a large stock customs will treat it as "commercial" with different regulations.

The Filco will be louder than any membrane keyboard. Check out recordings here. Put on some headphones and play the mouse clicking recording and adjust the volume so it's about as loud as your actual mouse. Then you can play the different keyboard recordings. The recording of the Logitech rubber dome board is going to be similar in sound to your rubber dome Lycosa.

I'm a pretty heavy typer, so the sound on my last membrane keyboard was pretty loud regardless. I guess what you mean is that if u deliberately displace the key using as little force as possible, the the membrane is definitely not as loud as the filco. Also, would you happen to know that if i constantly bottom out my keyboard, if that does any damage to the keyboard? I'm trying not to bottom out so much when I type but I guess I'm still getting use to it.

The reason I own this keyboard is because typing on it is better than a blowjob. The feel and sound are superb. But I fail to see how it's going to give you any kind of "edge" while playing video games. This is not to say it's bad for playing video games. Rather, the idea that keyboard is going to make you play better is absurd. That said, these keyboards, whether you're using blue, brown or black switches are awesome. You shouldn't buy one just to play video games. But as an investment in your overall "computing" experience, you can't go wrong. To answer the OP's question specifically: My personal opinion is that none of them are "better" for gaming. All will perform the same. The difference is a matter of personal aesthetics. Go with what feels better for yourself. Personally I love the crunchy sound of blues. And two the poster 2 posts above this one: "Bottoming out" on a keyboard is not going to hurt it, mechanical or plastic (unless there is a serious serious fault with it).

Edit: That's assuming your current keyboard doesn't suck something awful. Edit 2: Can we start a mechanical keyboard club? =)

Unfortunately, I've had my Apple Wireless Keyboard for 45 days and am beyond the point of being able to return it. I think I'm willing to just take the hit and get a Tenkeyless with brown switches anyways, though, since I think I'd absolutely love it.
