This is your 1 opt in per battle.net account and has nothing to do with other already guaranteed keys from blizzcon or other sources. Everyone should be opting in, and the previous opt-in is essentially nullified ( only new opt-ins with specs will be considered).

Bookarked....I really want a sc2 beta
Hmm On a side note, when someone DOES get the beta, would it perhaps, be uploaded as a torrent for peoples who aren't as fortunate?

It'll be like Steam. It wont matter who has the game, you'll need to log-in to be able to play.
Edit: And thinking about it, you'll have to play within your region as well.

I don't know if this has been said yet beccause I didn't read all the comments but any of you guys who are trying to register with multiple accounts can think again. Your specs and network adress will enable blizzard to spot any duplicate accounts. That's basically the reason they are doing this in the first place. To see that every account opting in is backed by one computer from one connection.

Took a few trys, but now im done & done

Halp! So good pc = bad? *dusts off 6600GT*

Seeing as the American beta will be the first, obviously, what about us who already have keys, will we be able to use the keys to join in the american beta?

Actually thats simply not true and wrong. First off from talking with a friend in the industry the first couple/few waves of the beta will consist of a good portion of whom have a good computer, the reason for this is while they will of course invite people with a variety of systems but they want people who will flat out be able to test the game without trouble. Second point there are a lot more people with bad computers then there are with good computers so they have a large amount of people to pick from if you have a crappy computer reducing your chance of getting picked.

I doubt it. They said NA will get it first. If you're from Europe and have a valid key, IMO you will have a sure spot in the first couple of waves in EU region. I also believe that at the start of the beat, each part of the world will have their own gateway/lobby (i.e. if you're from EU you can't play with peeps in NA) unless they'll want to do a stress test or a lag test of sorts to see how they interact with each other. They might remove that obligation later, but even if they do, expect to lag on NA servers if you don't have a good connection.

And you need to use this software to be selected. => You can't create empty account to increase your chance to be selected Show nested quote + I created a new Battle.net account, but I’m unable to opt in. Why? In order for a Battle.net account to be able to opt in to upcoming beta tests, you must have at least one Blizzard Entertainment game that you own attached to the account. Please note that the World of Warcraft trial edition does not count toward this requirement. Having more than one game attached to an account or having specific games attached to an account will not affect your chances to be selected.
It's better to create one account/game than an account with 5 games... Only if you have 5 different computers. The system spec scanner reports your MAC address. Each network adapter has a unique MAC address, so if you have several accounts with the same computer they will know. A blizzard poster said that doing this will hurt your chances of getting into beta.

What happens if you get a new computer after you scan it once? Can you scan it again on the new computer to get rid of the old specs?
