But instead there was a big Protoss wave, and it’s been properly acknowledged actually by the commentators. They were, I think, very impressed, but that was after the fact. That doesn’t do us any good. We kept the Round of 8 despite having twice as many matches to defend as Terrans, and in a really much more competitive matches. We did a fantastic job with the Round of 8. I think we’re very proud of what’s happened there. We had many more matches to defend. They spent almost two hundred million resources on Ro8 races on Daybreak and Entombed Valley alone, two maps, and millions of resources overall against us. At the national level, our opponents major donors were Blizzard devs and cheesers. Our major donors were ladder grinders, honorable Protoss players, and everyday citizens. Yet for the first time ever, we lost zero races in Code A. I was talking to Parting today. He said he couldn’t believe it. Zero matches, very unusual thing, zero, and actually won many new series with, I think, many more on the way. This was also the year of the Protoss player. More Protoss were elected to Congress than ever before. That’s a great achievement. I won the largest share of non-Terran matches of any Protoss in 21 years, including historic numbers of PvZ and PvP. The largest ever in our history. We grew our race on the ladder by 4 million players. The greatest turnout in Protoss history. Terrans are the party of the big cheesers. The big media, the big tech, it seems, and Protoss have become the party of the ladder grinder, and that’s what’s happened.
