They mean the one against Bbyong on Terraform where Rogue build like 11 vipers at the same time.

Pretty much agree with every award, expect the Protoss award. Zest was super shaky during the early Rounds and KT was almost solely carried by Stats during that time. herO was more consistent imo.
Also cool to see that SKT gets the recognition they deserve for their team approach this season. They are kinda like the San Antonio Spurs of SC2 right now. A lot of great players but they all accept their role on the team.
Crazy aswell how consistent herO and Maru have been for the last two seasons of Proleague.

I voted for this, was vetoed by literally everyone else

We were referring to the mass viper vs mech strat against Bbyong, not the flying locust one vs herO
Disagree strongly with the best protoss award. sOs and herO both were more impressive than Zest this season
Also Zest being consistent doesn't make sense as he lost every ace match in round 1. I guess the writer meant he had stages of consistently bad and consistently good.
Zest's best round happened when CJ, JA and SKT didn't even care much about the matches anymore since they had all qualified for playoffs and KT had to fight for their life

Yeah, I agree with that. Zest was inconsistent during Round 1 and 2. KT was lucky that Stats stepped up big time during these rounds.

I agree on Zest being overrated. Giving the protoss of the year award to a player who had an abysmal 2-5 record in ace matches doesn't make much sense to me. I know he had a great round 4, but rounds 1-3 were pretty mediocre and he didn't deliver in the post season playoffs.
sOs on the other hand delivered big time in the post season, even if he finally lost a game in the grand finals. But he was only 13-12 outside of the (post season and round) playoffs, with a 0-1 ace record. So while he certainly had great moments once the team got the playoffs, he wasn't that much help getting them there.
For my 2 cents, I think Classic and Stats made the most sense as protoss of the year: both had excellent overall winrates (tied with Zest for highest among protoss), both had decent performance in both the weekly round robin matches and during the playoffs, and both had a winning record in ace matches, though granted neither played very many. Stats gets a bonus for all-killing SKT, Classic for being more consistent throughout the whole season.

Making the final call on best toss was the hardest one for me personally, as well as coming to a general consensus. Arguments for each:
Stats: Brilliant first 2 rounds (14-2) Zest: Brilliant round 4 (11-0), which I especially value because he essentially solo-carried them to the Season playoffs right when KT needed him herO: Most wins in regular round matches, consistency sOs: Great season playoffs run Classic: Consistency
Arguments against:
Stats: Pretty awful from Round 3 onwards Zest: Failed in the ace far too often; not the greatest R1 herO: Consistently failed to come through for CJ in round / season playoffs (he still has yet to get a single multi-kill of any kind in two seasons of Proleague) sOs: Anonymous start to the year Classic: Hard to give the award to someone who played far less than the others; actually had pretty much the same win percentage as Zest and Stats.
Everyone had their pros and cons, and whoever we ended up choosing would be criticised by someone with different criteria to us. Personally, I thought Zest rode the line the best between contributing throughout the season and coming through at the important end of the season, but clearly you can make decent cases for any of the five
