While China should probably lose its qualifier spots for next WCS global season, any individual player qualified for next season should be grandfathered in. They're not like Koreans, where they're liable to just end up requalifying season after season for the entire year and crowd out local competition. They tend to have very static playstyles that other foreigners can learn and counter.

I'm hoping for a steady progress from the system of 2015 WCS towards 2012 WCS. Expanding the regional qualifiers as the local scenes are ready for it should be better than the chaos of 2012 WCS. I'm excited.
WCS CN?! YESSSSSSS!!!! Does this mean Chinese players will no longer have to compete with EU and NA? :DDDDDD -sorry too excited to read past the title-

I'm in Hangzhou, maybe I should take the train there ^^

Basically a shiny paint of WCS qualifier/challenger, but with money.
Am I the only thinking that the price pool is rather small? If I'm horribly mistaken, can someone put it in context for me? Like what is normal for big Chinese tournaments etc.

If you count in the minimum WCS 4500$ payout for top 4, actual money players get is at least 29k$. As I said it is effectively WCS qualifier, but a normal WCS qualifier doesn't have money except Challenger payout in the first place.

Well the Chinese players already in WCS drops down to challenger, which is incorporated as the top 4 vs 4 WCS players in this tournament, and it's also like if you qualify for the Chinese qualifier for WCS you also get paid.
A second advantage is that Ro16 and Ro8 are group stage, making it less volatile for the best players to advance.
Heart didn't enroll successfully. Though he entered the offical QQ group, he didn't register in the web: http://wcs.sc2.neotv.com.cn/. Perhaps he couldn't join in WCS, GPL and Kung Fu Cup.
