It's up to you to decide what's more important in your life at the time. Don't understand why people act so entitled about it. Reminds me of that med student who had to choose between playing and school. Grow up and deal with it.

Seriously, I'm new to this kind of stuff. On February 28 2015 03:07 Yorkie wrote: Already multiple conflicts for players. This is even worse for fans. Blizzard really screwed this season. They had better be wayyyy more on top of it for season 2 or WCS is just a joke What other conflicts are there? Only seen Kane so far

If you consider this your "job" then man up and treat it like your job. People have to make arrangements for work all of the time.

At any regular company, as long as you take your days off +-3 weeks in advance, it's oke. (ofcourse this differs per function). You should be aware that the S1 finals wil be around that time, so IMHO it's not that weird to schedule 4 weeks in advance. In this particular case, whether it would be in Australia, France, Zimbabwe or Tokio, Kane would've complained about this. I suggest you calm down and just reschedule the 'family stuff' or stop being a pro-gamer / anything with the word professional in it at all. Grow up. edit; At alot of functions, if shit hits the fan, your boss can even call you back from your holiday. He's living in Switzerland for free, getting paid by MYI, getting travel paid by MYI, has a job where 100's, maybe 1000's people dream off.. and yet, it seems as he doesn't appreciate any of it. There's only 3 big tournaments a YEAR. Stop whining

For a global event, 1 month is still incredibly short notice. Kane has a point, the could've at least released the schedule in advance or the planned timespan. Anything to help out with scheduling.

Go to hell wit this attitude already. This is pissing me off to no limits. So you think the players need to take it as a job, but not the WCS organisers? I don't know what kind of slavery are you subject too, but in civilized parts Europe it is considered normal that people clear their holidays with their boss months in advance and book them (almost anything is cheaper that way) and that their employers do not mess with them because of their incompetence. Criticising players for not being "professional enough" while pardoning the absolute incompetence of ESL/Blizzard to schedule the whole thing for the whole year ahead of time is virtuosity in hypocrisy.

Wake up, it's the foreign SC2 scene we're talking about, not some big firm employees that win 10K$/month. You can't ask from players to schedule nothing around an unknown date, because that's absurd. You can't ask from players, who for the most part receive a small salary, to be professional as in "sacrifice everything, family, friends, etc in order to play the game" (as if progamers weren't isolated enough already lmao), while not giving shit to Blizz for not releasing a fixed schedule, because THAT is unprofessional.

Sounds a bit harsh, but it's true nonetheless....
