We are happy to announce that the finals of the first season of WCS 2015 will take place in Potiers, France, during the 2015 Gamers Assembly. The WCS will have its own standalone stage at the expo, providing a great platform for the top 16 StarCraft II players in the world to show off their skills. The three-day event will start one day ahead of the Gamers Assembly opening day with the round of 16 group stages on April the 3rd and 4th followed by a single elimination bracket featuring the best eight StarCraft 2 players and its grand finals on Sunday the 5th of April.
By attending the Gamers Assembly 2015 in April, you will receive free admission to the finals of the WCS Season 1. The standard day passes to the expo itself can be purchased at the venue for €2, while premium three day passes are available online as "Entrée visiteur - Pass 3 jours" for €10. We are already looking forward to April and hope to see you in the crowd in Poitiers when the stage is set for the WCS Season 1 finals!

Also, why are all events in France not in Paris ? So unpractical.

WCS Premier... Top 16 in the world... Ya okay
Other than that HYPE

Something something Aeromi.

Did they chose France because they wanted aeromi to be happy?

Korea is pretty small you know. Just do it like in BW add "excluding Korea" to everything

Charging people only 2 Euro for something in western europe will bring you net loss because of logistics, no? It's really nice to see that the finals will be at a big event. With good location, essentially free attendance and seemingly infinite capacity (the website lists the supply of tickets as unlimited), this has a potential to be pretty huge.

Yeah, there are two regions, Korea and World.

Inb4 all french people complain that it's not in Paris and that Poitiers is a random city in the countryside. Nah seriously pretty cool stuff. And Aeromi can party a bit now d: Edit : wow they'll play the entire playoff bracket in one day? That's gonna be tight.

the gamer assembly is the last thing i expected
that's nice from ESL to bring some events here

how big was the bribe, Aeromi?
probably the best place to hold the finals

troubles a'brewin already

Already multiple conflicts for players. This is even worse for fans. Blizzard really screwed this season. They had better be wayyyy more on top of it for season 2 or WCS is just a joke

Yes that's probably the reason. And it's a good reason. But Paris is still more practical ^^
