Of course, but still I wouldn't put any WCS player in the world Top 16 by far.

Yeah I know but winning one or two BoX is hardly more relevant than winning one game when talking about who's the better player.

so kane gets upset about a schedule conflict (something anyone who has moved away from home has done multiple times in their lifetime) and makes posts about it on his personal twitter. then a bunch of people who watch his games for free declare him unprofessional for saying a thing on the internet...

yeah i'm not seeing it... kane was definitely a little huffy in those tweets but it's way more douchy to rant incessantly about his two tweets while frothing about some false dilemma whereby if you want to do anything that makes you any money you have to "be prepared" to be screwed out of your personal life as if thats what constitutes maturity

could he handle it "better" than those tweets show? sure. but making two posts on the internet doesnt mean "he mad" and he's sitting in his room crying all day. i'm sure he will handle his shit fine with his negative opinion which has entitled to. magnifying it into this drama over professionalism is socially awkward in the extreme

I never said forgg is a better player than Life.
Just saying that not considering forgg in top16 in the world (by far) is pretty ridicilous.

Because Aeromi is one of the few people who love esports and want SC2 to succeed.
Releasing schedule before a tournament starts should be pretty much a given...

The timing sucks for Copenhagen Games which is on April 1-4. They are supposed to have a StarCraft II tournament there with €6700 prize pool. According to their website, the signups already include players like HyuN, Patience, Ryung, True, elfi, uThermal and MorroW. I wonder are they even allowed to play* it if it clashes with WCS let alone get any viewership.

Edit: *By "they" I mean if CPH Games is allowed to organize the tournament, not if the players are allowed to play in the tournament.

Why wouldn't they be allowed to play? None of those players are still in WCS Ro16. It's also not the first time 2 tournaments are on the same day.

I wonder if you would be so willing to go out and do your job if the boss said you need to do it during christmas/new year/easter, when he clearly could arrange any other more suitable date. Especially the guys who need to undertake 18-24h trip to even get to Europe...

This is just a big slip up from Blizzard.

Doesn't matter. People here have made it 100% clear that if you are a progamer you give up 100% of your life and completely dedicate yourself to being available at all times in case a tournament is announced on short notice.

Yes, that's what's being said. You're so smart.

I won't be watching the matches live anyway. I'll be working during Easter weekend.

I guess it would be the first time one of those two overlapping tournaments is the WCS. When Blizzard announced the WCS in 2013 they said other events should not overlap with the WCS:
Q: What about other tournaments? Does this mean there will be no leagues outside of WCS?

A: Not at all! Other tournaments will be free to carry on with their own competitions, so long as their broadcasts do not overlap with WCS events.

in this case wouldnt the WCS overlap with the other tournament and not the opposite?

since they announced their dates so late ...

I guess WCS kinda has priority over other tournaments in Blizzard's eyes. But I thought that the "no overlaping" rule quoted above was only for WCS-partner tournaments?

It is great that Gamers Assembly is getting to host WCS. Gamers Assembly has been a staple for esports in France and Europe for over 10 years now, it is the most grassroot esport event in France, a huge BYOC "a la Dreamhack".

Ah yes for sure, it's a shame that this happens and another consequence of Blizzard's unprofessionalism with this Season.
