If you get a region-block (as I do), there are browser extensions like Hola http://hola.org/ that allow you to proxy around the world (pretend that you're viewing from Korea).

Thanks but it's says their server is down..

Edit: *Korean

I'm currently watching the Youtube stream, everything seems to work fine.

link please

You can use Hola to get around the region-block.

Thanks a bunch!!

Low is just weird, it's basically unwatchable. Medium would at least sort of be okay, but still not really.

13.99$ a month and only low quality means they are losing more customer and are attempting to compensate by raising their prices.

This will result in further erosion of their customer base. I myself am used to spending 105$+ per year on GOMTV for the past 4 years. I will not be spending 150$+ a year. I will now not be sad when GOMTV closes its doors in a year or two.

EDIT: 13.99 per season? This is closer to last years, i'll think over the purchase.

But if the previous model wasn't viable then they'd close doors sooner than that. It seems a lot of people assume they were doing fine and did this just because they're greedy and want to fuck with you.

If a company needs more money they have a lot of options. Raising prices on existing customers is only one of them. Not the best option in my opinion either.

We've seen them struggle to land sponsorships in the past. I think they've exhausted other options.

the problem for me is more the lack of communication than anything else. Done like that it looks just like a dick move.

It doesn't matter, lack of communication is disgusting. Luckily we had Seeker who has asked GOM about it and we got confirmation that from now on low is for non-subs, if Seeker didn't do that, who knows when we would get the answer.
They've made mistakes before and were giving us source quality for free sometimes, and a lot of people thought that this is a mistake...

just a standard PR statement that they were switching things up (because whatever). and not being like that: launching stream, oh it's on low, back to medium at least. What sub needed for medium and 13.99$/month that's fucking ridiculous.

+ twitch and GSL has been such a downgrad for vods so the live quality was pretty much the only reason to sub.

meh. i don't like to act entitled to free entertainment, so i'm not going to whine, but i agree it's totally awful. low only is basically saying "pay up or get out," and i'm not giving them money, so... i mean i guess low is acceptable to watch on mobile but not on any modern monitor.

guess for as long as the game stays active they just want to milk the hell out of the small niche of hardcore fans who will pay for SC2 content? kinda disappointing, but capitalism is what it is

i'm not sure what's different about it. the whole point is to give people notice of a change that will disappoint them as a basic courtesy so they're not taken off guard by it? it's actually almost identical
