On a side note, the only reason we wail so much every time a big foreigner name retires or goes inactive is because there is no one to take their place. This is not a long-term career, and likely won't be for at least another decade. The thing with Sc2 is that there are virtually no non-Koreans on the rise who are analogous to an Idra or Naniwa or Scarlett or Jinro. If Sc2 had the vibrancy of a major Moba title, we would have other heroes to replace the retirees, but it doesn't, and consequently we don't. We can't expect our veterans to stick around forever - life goes on and at some point you just have to cut your losses and move on.

A combination of university and ailing wrists make it kind of a no-brainer as I see it. This has been looming for a while, so I'm not too bummed about it; I'd much rather get a clean break than have her hang on for another year and post mediocre results. So no one should become a progamer in the first place based on your "logic". How many foreign progamers earn enough money to make a living? Very few, but the others still try. In the end, you do it for the passion, not for the money. Luckily not everyone thinks like you, or progaming wouldn't exist at all. Actually, nothing new would ever be done (in this case, progaming) if everyone always sticked to safe/standard plans for their future. On a side note, the only reason we wail so much every time a big foreigner name retires or goes inactive is because there is no one to take their place. Hmm... not just because people might get "fond" of some progamers after seeing them play for so many years? Like, there could be infinite progamers, people would still be sad if someone they used to follow for a while decided to stop playing. It's not just the "foreign hope" factor, otherwise this wouldn't even apply to koreans, but koreans progamers have just as many fans. Is it wrong to be sad about someone retiring? No. It just proves that you are passionate about the scene. Passion is what keeps a game alive.

Well the best decision would be if noone go for progaming career at all and study instead and get a "real" job, NO? thats what your post ment to me tbh, bloody boring! Such killjoy! Pro gaming carreers doesnt need to be short at all, it's pure bullshit imo, we've seen a few that can have many many years and after gaming, go over to commentating, or other gamingrelated jobs. There will be older and older pro's, you'll see. For the Esport!

Because we can give silly feedback without thinking and if it goes viral and turns something even worse, then the everyone hides in the mass. And wow this is above Taeja retirement tweet panic !
