At least well enough to justify creation cost. I would buy an official port of SC1 and SC: BW campaign on SC2's engine with adjusted difficulty and stuff though.

This move is the saddest for me for some reason. I still remember when crowd sourcing brought him to MLG. Back then it showed what a strong community we had. Now, it seems that is a lost memory, buried beneath bitterness and apathy.

Riot contacting organisations and saying they couldn't have both Dota2 and League of Legends running at the same event? Riot (or more specifically, Riot Pendragon) shutting down the #1 website for WC3 Dota, where maps are hosted to be downloaded etc and leaving a League of Legends advertisement in it's wake? Riot quite possibly stealing ideas for Dota heroes and utilising them for League of Legends?Take your pick... edit: I'd just like to point out i'm not bashing LoL here, merely replying to someone who asked a question (though i will admit to not being a fan of the game myself either) Thanks for the laugh! no i'm pretty sure it happened (ideas from the dota hero suggestion forum)

Awww yea, this is awesome

He probably refers to the fact that i.e. tournament can't run LoL and any other MOBA and Riot was trying to enforce such rule on teams (so either you have LoL team or Dota2 team but not both). I think Scooters from EG made this information highly implicated at least.
Which was proved to be false to begin with, sicne at the time of Dignitas/EG statements, teams like M5, iG, WE and Rox.Kis all had LoL/Dota2 divisions coexisting

If enough Koreans retire foreign players could stand a chance again. Tbh, Blizzard could consider changing the WCS system in a way that favors the region with the most viewers (Europe) and accept that it will mean that 50% of Korean players will have to retire simply as a sad inevitability.

EG and Dignitas were just to retarded to understand what Riot meant.
It's hilarious that people still point this out while right when this controversy arose, M5, iG, WE, Rox.Kis, Fnatic and many other organizations had LoL and Dota2 teams running at the same time.

Wrong again. Riot contacted organizations and told them they can't have both Dota2 and LoL running IF RIOT IS SPONSORING THE ENTIRE EVENT.
This is more of a corporate issue. If MLG or IEM are so much in need of guaranteed money to let themselves be completely sponsored by Riot, then as a result Riot has absolutely no obligations to let a direct competitor get in the same tournament they've paid for.
You don't see Pepsi being sold in stadiums of teams sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Dick move.
It still has nothing to do with "ostracizing other esport scenes". Back then LoL was a complete unknown game and that certainly wasn't done by Pendragon to compete with Dota, it was just a petty payback for someone (at least how he put it) who felt let down by the dota community.

Yet another urban legend

Reply 36, the spoiler tabs.
A champion with Shadowmeld and a wide array of different TRAPS is now "Riot copying my character and turning him into Teemo". For real.

This decision is fully respected, i wish him good luck
