This is so bad for esports. Teams can't even get plane tickets to transport their players correctly? Can't even resolve it appropriately and it spills out on gaming forums because it is the player's only outlet?

Pretty ridiculous, looks like this Simon guy is a fucker and he should be kicked off Quantic. For once, I think the community should really be pitch-forking. Unlike orb/destiny/idra where nothing really bad actually happened, this fuck actively scammed one of his (ex)players and seemed happy about it.

That said, massan (and any pro-gamer) should really be signing contracts on paper. Then again, esports being what it is, maybe it's hard to get paper contracts.

Oh yeah the OP did get edited.

What basically happened (can't go into details as I can't remember them) is that Simon from Quantic was supposed to buy a plane ticket for Massan. Massan paid 1400$ for that ticket via a paypal gift and Simon fucked up the dates (there was a date limit because of Visa). So Massan needs a refund or at least change a ticket. Simon completely refuses to do so and after having stolen 1400$ from Massan, tells him how Massan "tried to scam him and his family".

I really think that people should be more aware of how some people are trying to scam players. That is what's truly detrimental, I would have hoped that the community would be more outraged at this than other silly matters such as Idra's posts being purposely misinterpreted. It's kind of ... silly that the community seems to more readily jump down a player's throat then someone who is actively scamming people.

EXCUSE ME? Don't you remember how disrespectful their actions were to the eSportS community? NOt only that, the actions of destiny & orb were disrespectful to the grander communities outside of eSports! Let alone all the stuff with idra and the eSports community and how the eSports community reacted against him. I think the reaction from the eSports community shows how serious the eSports scene was affected by their "not bad behavior". eSports showed that it was capable of taking action in order to benefit the greater eSports community as a whole. Destiny's plethora of eSports drama affected the world beyond eSports too. Remember the problem with the pornstar and the kid smoking weed? Even though that doesn't affect eSports as a community, there are other communities who will look at the eSports community and think that the eSports community is a bunch of little kids. I think that their behavior affects the eSports community the most because it detracts from the outside, unlike this where the eSports community is being affected by people who are already in eSports. The problem with signing contracts is that people dont have the necessary legal-advice unless they are big teams (like EG) who can have lawyers draw out the contracts for the team/players.
