-Blizzard 2013. We got that macro thing down. We need to get back to harassing and earning those expansions. Oh yeah and proxy oracle and DT and cocaine are gonna fix that ? No,its just gonna be more cheese opportunities. At least the zerg change asks you to use you brain for a bit. Not sure why people don't realize exactly why DT's are cheesy. It's because they rely on an opponent not having sufficient detection, and they're almost completely useless after that point. Now they're buffed so that they might be useable regardless of detection, and aren't reliant so much on a gamble anymore, but people will just thumbs it down anyways cause fuck inadvertently buffing Protoss all-ins.
While you are right about dts, the reason people will always downvote dt buffs are simple: Isn't it a great feeling to lose to them? I mean not having detection when they run in must be a really good feeling, and while you kinda have to blame yourself, it still is something that one forgets very easily. I personally would also like to see turrets either without ebay or also after an armory as it's just one of the most ANNOYING (not imbalanced or game breaking just easy to overlook) thing to have to do when meching.

I hope they end up tweaking the mothership core as well. Give Terran at least a chance to win early game.

David Kim is retarded. "Protoss aren't harassing because their harass options aren't good enough! "
Lolwut, no it's because Mothership-core means they are far too comfortable to even want to multitask.

i will play sc back when this patch goes live

David Kim just throws out random stuff with no clue of their effects if you ask me. Looks like Terran is going back to the bottom.

lol, DT's chasing stimmed Marines.. LOL :D

Every change gets thumbed up except Protoss buffs :'(
Kidding aside, the DT movement speed would be ridiculous. I think if you go DT's, you should be punished in some way if your opponent scouts/prepares. Having them be able to zip in and out seems like going DT would be a little too safe. I feel like the Oracle change wouldn't do a whole lot either, aside from allowing earlier detection in PvP.

The tank's attack speed buff is a 10% DPS buff, similar to 30(50) damage to (33)55 damage. I am not optimistic that this change will bring out mech TvP or TvZ. It will help the existing mech players like HTOMario and Avilo but it may not be a big incentive for others to play mech in TvP and TvZ. As David Kim said in the IEM Shanghai interview, he is reluctant to buff tank because he worries about tank in TvT. But certainly we will see more siege tank.
Also, Not sure 1-1-1 will be useful after the buff when nexus cannon has a range of 13, same as siege tank.
Oracle's gas reduction will only make it even earlier in the early game and this is opposite to their intention which is to increase its use in the mid-late-game.
DT is the same speed as the buffed overseer. It's way too fast.

lol he knows what he is doing. He could probably beat any player with any race pretty easily.

Looking at this DT buff proposition. I think you're mistaken. And I'm sure David Kim would lose to any master player at this point. This isn't season 1.

Siege Tank DPS Current 0 +1 +2 +3 vs non-Armored: 11.67 12.67 13.67 14.67 vs Armored: 16.67 18.34 20 21.67 Post-Patch: - - - - vs non-Armored: 12.96 14.07 15.19 16.30 vs Armored: 18.52 20.4 22.23 24.07
DPS-wise, this basically means Siege Tanks always start with +1 (and then some), but it goes up to +4. If that isn't significant, I don't know what is.

this would be sooooooo awesome. like so awesome, they could nerf anything else of Z :D

DT is the same speed as the buffed overseer. It's way too fast. So that means we maybe have to reconsider the hard-counters to the tank (viper and immortal).

this line of reasoning is the furthest thing from the truth. in pvz u can follow up an oracle with a void and control zergs creep. in pvt u can keep tabs of terrans army with revelation which makes it much easier to deal with drops because your robo tech is obviously going to be delayed. in pvp u can scout ur oppos tech path by constantly revealing their base, also oracles are extremely helpful in the lategame when you have tempests out in all 3 mus (especially in pvz)
pvp is already extremely coinflipy in the early game and this is only going to make it worse, they need to be thinking about nerfing the oracle not buffing it. dt buff is very random, i really dont understand it
and oracles are extremely common in the current meta in all 3 mus..
Once again you confirm your place as one of the seven BasedGods of SC.
I love and worship you TT1 <3

I'm getting pretty sick and tired of blizzard telling us what THEY want to see us use in games.

They are not going to introduce all these changes to the game, this initiative by David Kim is just to test possible changes. Balance hardly comes into it, it's better to try and evaluate the changes on their individual merit.

We will never know, but clearly we should call his skill in the game into question because you disagree with the balance changes. Thats always a good way to win an argument.
