If that's the case then I'm very disappointed with this because that means they'll be replacing the ever so awesome tastosis combo with much worse casters T.T No that is not correct. GSL casters will be broadcasting the OGN stream on their own stream and the other way around. I don't think the proleague casters have anything to do with this... edit yeah: "The two broadcasters will take turns holding the WCS Korea tourneys. OGN will receive feed from GomTV, but use their own casters. In reverse, GomTV will receive OGN's feeds and use their own casters when OGN runs the studio. Doa and montecristo to do casting for OGN, Tastosis for GSL. "

Region lock only applies to WCS leagues: if you play WCS Korea, you cannot play WCS NA or EU, etc WCS NA and EU are hosted by MLG and ESL; they are separate to any other events they run

1. Classification to world championship using "points". 2. League region not related to nationality. We want to make e-sports more popular, so we should have more simple and straight foward rules.

I'm guessing the prize pool for a Code S win will still be pretty big. But yeah, it will be slightly less valuable to win Code S now, but the benefits to the rest of the scene far outweigh this and I say that as someone who only watches Sc2 when Koreans are playing.

Yeah, its good for everyone. It is just more options for players, Korean and otherwise. More options fore viewers, better ability for teams to put up numbers for sponsors. We give up very little and get a lot more in return. Plus we get to speculate like mad about who will go where, which is fun unto itself.

We're not sure yet whether the Ro16 will be daily in EU/NA because that's a logistical issue if it's LAN but hopefully Blizzard/teams will sort it out so it is.

I never knew the Starcraft community harbored so much xenophobia. We are a global community and should be happy that the best players in this community get to shine. Either NA or EU steps up its game or Korea will dominate. Has it ever been any different? I'm happy Blizzard is stepping in and attempting to create a unified storyline for the fans out there. It is my opinion that we quit complaining like the privileged esports pricks we are and just see where this thing goes. I can guarantee it will go nowhere with the xenophobic attitudes on display here.

I'd actually be much more likely to watch foreigner vs foreigner in this environment because it's in a meaningful big tournaments with lots of money/prestige on the line. Before the only way to catch foreigner vs foreigner was in $100 Craft Cup's which doesn't interest me.

Top tournaments must consist in the best players fighting each other. I understand their need to boost the non-korean scene, but making artificial barriers to do so seems very dangerous to me. I'm not a korean elitist, but right now, it's undeniable that koreans are clearly above the foreigners skill level. Unless Blizzard take that in account and give the Korea seasonal proper WCS points, the scene could be seriously damaged. I'm seeing two possible outcomes: 1. WCS America and WCS Europe flooded and dominated by koreans, something that will defeat the entire purpose of the new format, harming both foreigner and korean scene. 2. Almost every player playing for their region, which will harm the korean scene. Maybe not for players like Flash or Life, but code A/B players could have it really hard with that changes, because those players will have to play insanely good to keep up with foreign players with similar or less skill. Anyways, I'll wait Blizzard to reveal more details, but I don't like at all how forced it sounds, and the consequences it could bring.

What are the names of each tournament, everyone is throwing around different names for the same thing is it GSL Korea - MLG NA - ESL EU or WCS europe, korea, NA or GSL Korea - GSL NA - GSL EU and EACH region will have a Code S, and Challenger's Bracket (Code A-B, Up and Down)?

I don't understand why they wouldn't do that. They have to pay for all their own travel, so it'll cost them lots.
