Personally the easiest mission I found to do this on, is "Domination" where you have to collect the 100 eggs for a few reasons:
- The mission can go on indefinitely as long as you keep Zagara in her base - She spawns infinite amounts of units - The enemy units you encounter are fairly easy to deal with and provide no danger to Kerrigan - The infested terrans and random buildings all over the map provide you with a good amount of "target pratice" for either leaping strike or kinetic blast
It took me about a bit over half an hour to complete both achievements on that particular map. Mind you I have done that through the Master Archives since it will provide you with increased energy regeneration on Kerrigan as she starts in her "primal zerg" form.

It's not difficult whatsoever, it's extremely easy, it just takes quite some time to spam the skill 100 times. That said, by far the best way to do it is with 20% lower ability cost on one of the last missions like the reckoning; just use it on all the buildings and units with lots of health. I guess that's maybe a good mission to do it if you're multitasking achievements though.

Hey folks. When I go through my Master Archives, I've beat everything on Brutal, but still don't have the Brutal Achievement. I know for sure that for some missions the achievement service was down. Is there any way to tell which missions didn't register? I have no recollection of which ones they were!

Btw I think an achievement bugged for me, and badly. That's in the mission where the super spore crawler are landing and you have to protect them. The achievement is to kill every terran building before the 5th spore land. I did it twice and didnt get the achievement. I had literally whole map scouted, not an inch of black remanining on minimap, meaning i had scouted everything at least once, and didnt see any red stuff on minimap
Anyone having the same bug?

Are you completely sure you scouted the map and killed everything before the time ran out? I tried to beat that mission several times with a save that was 2 minutes from the end time, and I found eventually that there were two missile turrets on high ground I had missed the first time I had cleared out that area.

wtf must be that... i didnt use air units so ofc i didnt kill those turrets. Do you remember where they are?

There is one in the lower-east base (will be on the top left area when you first enter that part) and one I believe in the east base. Just load up a save, send overlords all over to find them, and then reload the save and take 5-6 overlords with you (or mutas) and snipe them down.

Just wait until Lost Voidray, it will be twice as hard!

Ehm since I didn't find any other dedicated thread talking about the campain, I'll just post here.
So I just started playng, but is it only me or are most achievements pretty much impossible to gain on brutal? Like I'm only on the 2nd mission right now, but I see no way how I could have macrod enough units to save the brood mothers before reinforcements arrive, cause the bunkers and siegetanks will just shred them.
To be fair I haven't touched WoL in 18months and only just started playing again with hots release. so I'm definitely abit rusty^^

The campaign achievements are meant for Normal and Mastery achievements for Hard. You are just making it a bit tougher on yourself but I'm sure they are mostly possible, if not all, on Brutal once you are good enough and know the timings of the mission. As for 'saving' the brood mothers, I'm guessing you mean the 3rd mission. All you have to do is reach the cave they are in and once they become controllable, you got them. Repeat for the other two and you get the achievement.

It's possible for most of them, I got all bonus objectives and achieves on a single Brutal playthrough except for one on the last mission which I replayed on hard for.
Sometimes the wording is not obvious e.g. "save" the brood mothers just means killing the units guarding the caves, you don't actually have to keep the brood mothers alive.

Ah ok ^^ I guess I tryharder abit then.
When doing that mission for the first time I barely macrod enough units to even kill a bunker+siegetank even with kerrigan Psy blast, but that's because I was rusty^^ Next two missions my macro improved again and I rolled over them in true zerg fashion :D

LOL for some reason, I thought that Fast Break was the level with the psy destroyer thing with the ancient zerg that goes and kills the generators. I tried for like an hour thinking of how to destroy the main generator in 10 minutes then realized I was on the wrong mission. Going through the missions though, they aren't too bad, just some trial and error and intelligent kerrigan usage.

I managed to 100% the game a couple of days ago. I thought the masteries were a nice extra challenge (Particularly the ones for Supreme and the last mission). It was very satisfying.

Same here, the masteries were a lot of fun. Finished them this morning, with Supreme and Infested taking the most attempts (for some reason it didn't occur to me that the infestor mission would probably go a lot better just using mass neural parasite).

I did the infested Mastery by making 100+ Banelings and right clicking on the mission objective. Kinda lame, but it was hilarious just bypassing all the defences.

I just did mass roach with kerrigan clearing bunkers and then using neural on the BCs at the end. it worked pretty well
